Stella could not believe that she was here watching these fools dance about. This was her first festival back in the Oasis in three years. She usually hated crowds and did not like to be here. No one ever talked to her and it was useless to come here. Unfortunately, her brother had made her come here this time. She set in a corner away from everyone.

Vor loved parties but seeing as he frightened most Shakaiyo he never got invited. But this wasn't just any party it was a festival and thus open to all Shakaiyo. He happily landed on the edge of the gathering and made sure all his fur was laying flat, he didn't want to appear any meaner then possible. When he was sure he looked presentable he trotted merrily in. Oh my there were so many here and he had no idea where to start. Perhaps just observe for now. So he plopped himself next to a female and nodded respectfully at her before turning his gaze to those assembled. " This is so neat!"

Stella watched as a new Shakaiyo came into the party. It was a male and he was so handsome that Stella could barely take her eyes off of him. He had these wonderful swirls by his eyes. The Shakaiyo had both horns and wings. He was scary but beautiful at the same time.
Then after looking around for a bit he came and sat down right next to her! She could not believe it! What was he doing here?! Then he spoke to her. She could not help but be stuned. She was not used to anyone willingly talking to her. However, she knew she could not let it show on her face so she replied with her usually scowl. "If you think looking at swirling idiots is neat then I guess it is."

Vor turned his eye on the female trying to gauge her mood, but since he didn't socialize much he couldn't tell. " I'd say they're twirling, but yes it looks neat. And prolly more fun doing then watching. Do you know how to twirl?" The female wasn't afraid of him and this made him very cheerful, perhaps his family were wrong and he could have a good life with lots of friends here. He scooted closer to the female so that neither one would have to raise their voices over the growing noise of music.

Stella could not believe it when the male continued to talk to her. They usually left by now. She wondered why this one was so cheerful. It just did not make sense to her.
She did not know what to say at first but then responded with a slight blush," I have never twirled before. No one has ever asked me so there has never been a need."

Vor couldn't believe his ears. "No one's ask to twirl with you? Why not, you're very pretty." He never was one to keep what he thought to himself so his words flowed without embarrassment. " Would you like to twirl with me? Perhaps we can learn together. It doesn't look that complicated. And with us over here there's no fear of bumping into others." He missed talking to another so badly that he couldn't seem to stop talking. He flashed the female a grin, which looked like a snarl but that couldn't be helped, though he tried.

Stella could not believe her ears. He said she was pretty! She blushed so bright that it showed through her purple fur. Then on top of that he asked her to twirl like the other idiots. She could not believe it but she actually wanted to tell him yes. She wanted to learn how to twirl especially from a Shakaiyo who thought she was pretty.
But she could not help but wonder why he would want to dance with her. Maybe he was up to something and was just going to use her. Or maybe he wanted her to make a fool of herself so he could get a good laugh. Or maybe he was just being kind? She had not had alot of kindness in her life so she was not sure what that felt like. She nodded her head, "although I disagree with me being pretty, I would like to twirl with you."

Vor's eyes widen as she accepted his invitation and his grin also widen so it truly looked like a snarl. " Oh perfect!! Thank you." He positioned himself in front of her then started at his feat. " Of course you're pretty, and I think I move my left foot while you move your right foot. And then I step forward and you move back. Right?" He pawed cautiously at the ground in mock steps, hoping he'd gotten them right and for the first time he was nervous.

Stella got up to twirl around with him and hoped that she did not look like a complete fool. She actually wanted to impress him. She had never wanted to impress anyone.
"Are you sure that it is not i move my left foot and you move your right? Maybe we should just try it your way and see if it works." Stella moved so close to him that she was touching his fur. "Are you ready?" She asked him excitedly.

Vor shook his head at her suggesting they go the opposite way. "No I think that's the next twirl." And as she brushed up to him a little spark shocked him. And that was a completely new experience which had him staring at her. "Did you feel that too? I wonder. And with his last words he pressed up next to her curious to see if there was another shock. And then without thinking he began the dance.
There hadn't been a different shock when he moved but there was this odd feeling in his gut, like he'd swallowed something. "How interesting, but not unpleasant in the least." He looked away from his feet and gut right into her eyes. Her eyes were the same color as the storm clouds in the mountains. Such a beautiful purpleish color.

Stella felt the shock too as they touched. It did not hurt but was surprising. "Yes I felt that too. I wonder what it was?" He felt nice and soft as she leaned against him to dance. It made her just want to touch him all over to see if all of him was like that. She would love to touch his beautiful wings especially. "I love your wings they are so pretty. This twirling thing is not half bad."
Just then she looked up to see him looking into her eyes. She blushed but could not look away. His eyes were just as beautiful as he was. They were almost hypnotizing.

He didn't look away when she caught him staring and neither did he stop twirling. " Thank you, though they are quite bothersome at times and they take alot of time to groom so that I don't hurt myself when I fly. And I'm really enjoying this twirling, though I could use a drink. would you like to join me?" And this whole time the two never stepped on each other's paws while dancing and the sun was just starting to dip and night was softly blossoming.

Stella did not want to stop twirling with him but she was also feeling thirsty. She wished she did not have to stop touching him. She backed up away from him and nodded her head. "I would love a drink...oh I forgot to ask what your name is?" She felt silly now. She did not even know his name yet was sad that they had to part to get the drinks.

Vor felt a loss when she stepped back but shook himself hoping the feeling would go away, it didn't. As he stepped towards the drinking pond his cheeks flushed red in embarrassment, after all he'd forgotten his manners and hadn't even introduced himself. what's it matter, she'll make a great dinner. He stopped and gathered himself for a moment before answering, though when he turned to her nothing amiss showed on his face but there was a strain in his voice. " I'm so sorry! My name is Vorvaris, it's a pleasure to meet you..." Now he was deeply embarrassed that he couldn't remember her name either.

Stella could not help but smile at Vorvaris. "I love that name. Does it mean anything special?" She then realized that she had not given Vor her name either. "Oh my name is Stella. It seems we were so busy in twirling that we forgot to say our names." She laughed then. It had been so long since she had felt truly happy enough to laugh that it surprised her. She then bent down to drink from the water. It was so nice and refreshing against her tongue.
