Soft chittering filled a particular hallway that was currently dead due to no classes down here. The chittering increased in volume and pitch, sounding a little stressed until a soft thwack followed by a thump was heard. Then a heavy sigh. Why couldn't these two be in the same vicinity as one another and not end up smacking, pawing, trying to kill each other? A hiss and a squeak were silenced quickly as LW grabbed each pet and covered their mouths, looking up and down the hallway.
"Hush up!" The she-wolf hissed softly. "We gotta finish hanging the webs. Don't give me that look." She flicked the demon cat in the nose. Lucifer glared right back at her while Callix flitted around making his little battling sounds. The only good one of the group was her Hazmutt, Austin.
"Shut it!" LW stood on her toes as she carefully attached another section of very finely woven spiderwebs to the side wall. She was almost done and just about out of time. All the good boils and ghouls would have to go to 'bed' soon. And the prankster wasn't done setting up her prank for the morning, damnit! She made a soft whistle between her teeth and nodded at the spiderwebs. Callix flapped up and gripped the upper portion carefully in his toes to stick to the wall. Once attached, he back winged and took the chance to catch Lucifer off guard, dive bombing the demon cat. A loud and strange meow echoed down the hall as cat and bat chased one another.
LW sighed. At least she had everything set up now. This would be a nifty prank to see set in motion. Those mischievous violet eyes glanced up at the ceiling to see the intricate web work canopy she had made to hold the strange sticky liquid she'd found. It was a jacking pain to get off your skin and, if left on too long, would stain your skin red for several days.
Glancing at Austin, she patted her leg and waited for the Hazmutt to shuffle over so she could scratch his ears. "You're the good one, huh?" She snickered and looked over her shoulder to see that Lucifer had Callix pinned against the floor. Such little deviants she owned.

Kasumi was busy gathering her things before bed, with a quick trip to the Lost and Found bin for any extra essentials she could pull up. With a couple of extra socks in hand for nostalgia (like she really needed them anyway) and was walking back from classes when she heard strange noises. Tilting her head, the ghost watched as two black beings darted across the hallway and into a closed room. Mice? Rats? Gnomes? Odd... very odd. What are they doing over here? Her thoughts hearkened back to the doom the student brought upon the mice infesting the walls before, and thought that maybe she could construct something again? Better to investigate and report the incident to the proper authorities, and then construct the instrument of destruction! Placing the socks on a nearby rotting bench, Kasumi poked her head through the middle of the wall.
There, she saw someone that looked familiar. Wasn't she a werewolf? That redhead from the Student Council welcoming party, yes. Now, what was her name again? The ghost was silent as she thought for a moment, the rest of her body sticking straight out of the wall and into the hallway. Passers by would not think anything of it. Ghosts were known to do that! Kasumi stood there, silent in thought until the name came to her. Letters! She remembered the letters! And those two black darting creatures were apparently the pets who may or may not have noticed the ghost's head through the wall.
"LW! What are you up to in here?" came an honest question from about five feet off the ground.

The prankster looked over her work again, feeling mostly confident that it would work. She just hoped the contraption she'd made out of spiderwebs to hold the strange liquid would hold over night. LW had gone over how to set this all up many times before she actually executed her plan. It had taken her several days to 'knit' the canopy above her head. It had to be just the right thickness and tightly knit so liquid didn't drip out. So far so good.
Glancing from the work above her to the walls beside her she smiled at them. They were the main source holding up the liquid above. The more creatures ran their hands along the wall and broke away spiderwebs, the less support the bundle above had. Once enough webs were pulled off the walls, it would break and whoever happened to be under it would be very unfortunate. Especially if they didn't want to have red skin.
Austin made a funny sound and LW looked first down at him, then followed his gaze to the other wall. She blinked once. Twice. And then what she was staring at spoke to her. A squeak escaped the she-wolf and she jumped back a foot. Oh Jack she'd been caught!
Except that wasn't what the ghost said. Wait, this ghost was familiar. What was her name again? Kam...Kas..."Kasumi?" That was it! "What am I doing here?" There was a pause. "Uh, what are you doing here?"
A loud squeak/cry came from just down the hall followed a few seconds later by a very distressed Battling. Callix latched onto LW's back, chattering and whining in his own way. Lucifer came slinking around the corner a few minutes later looking quite proud of himself. LW sighed heavily and her eyes lit up. "I, uh, was out here chasing after my pets." Did this type of prank work on ghosts? LW wasn't sure, but she didn't think it would. At least the liquid wouldn't do anything to them. But...what if Kasumi came through the wall and pulled off a large chunk of spiderweb? Candlejack!

"Oh, you've lost your pets? Do you need help? I'll help look for them too! It must be terrible to lose them, especially if you're so close to them. Here, we might be able to find them if we look together!"
In her rambling and infectious need to assist, Kasumi phased through the wall entirely and started to crawl along the ground. She soon spotted that two of them were already attached to their owner, and she breathed a sigh of ghostly relief. Standing up again, she brushed herself off out of nostalgia and bowed to the werewolf. "It's a pleasure to see you again, though I would suggest using a leash instead next time. Sometimes rambunctious pets can get loose quite easily and cause problems. I might know a few students who have leashes if you'd like me to inquire?"
She didn't see the liquid above them at all, but did notice the spiderwebs. Those were fairly commonplace decorations made by the Skitters that crawled on the walls during school hours, repairing banners and the like. Whenever Kasumi went to her locker, one or two of them would be nearby. She rather liked them. "I hope your stay at the Academy has been pleasant thus far. You know you can always ask me for help, or one of the other Student Council representatives. It's what we're here for! Also, sorry about the punch... I personally had no idea."
As the ghost continued to ramble, the liquid probably sagged in its container, just waiting to spill. And still, Kasumi continued to yammer on and on about the activities at school and all the fun classes a werewolf could participate in.

"I, uh lost my..." LW stammered and watched with wide eyes as the ghost phased through the wall taking some of the spiderwebs with her. She swallowed the small sound that tried to escape and forced herself to keep the, Oh Jackdamnit look from her face. Violet eyes flashed up to the ceiling once and cringed when the webs up there swung threateningly. But it didn't break. Yet. Kasumi was talking again and the she-wolf looked away from the ceiling as not to draw attention to it.
Taking a small step back, LW smiled and tried not to appear like she was attempting to get away from this area. She was still in the danger zone though. "Pleasure to...see you too." LW grinned, though it might have been a tad forced. "L-leash?" She blinked at Kasumi and glanced at the demon cat that was sitting next to her foot, fanning his wings and eying the battling hanging from her back. "I-I don't think th-that would work for them." A shaky laugh escaped and she took another small step back.
The she-wolf nodded and smiled, uttering simple replies. Mention of the punch pulled a snicker out of her. "No need to apolo- AUSTIN!" The Hazmutt had moved closer to the wall as his master had started backing away. He was sitting right next to it now and was attempting to scratch at an itch under his collar. Leaning into his own scratching, he brushed against the wall, fine and silky webs clinging to his fur, leaned too far and flopped down to the floor. A good portion of the webs came with him and that was it.
It was like a mini waterfall opened up above their heads and the strange liquid came falling on top of those standing under it: Kasumi, LW, Callix and Lucifer. Austin was a very lucky Hazmutt right now. At least until the other three got a hold of him.
Carefully, the she-wolf raised a hand to wipe at her face. The sticky substance made it difficult to accomplish this but she got enough to open her eyes and spit out some of the nasty stuff that got in her mouth. Loud squeaking-borderline-wailing came from her back and angry hissing from her feet. LW's tail twitched but otherwise remained immobile for once.
At least she now knew her prank idea worked.
"You mentioned something about a track team?" She inquired casually of the ghost like nothing had happened and she wasn't standing there dripping sticky liquid!

Poor Kasumi continued to ramble when the werewolf offered up even simple replies. She was just so excited to assist someone as a Student Council representative and still, she didn't see the hanging sac of liquid above them as she continued her explanation. "Certainly, not all small pets can be controlled via a leash, but I would hate for you to lose them. There is a Lost and Found Bin if such a thing occurs, however. It's in front of Miss Headmistress' office. Anyway," She waved a hand while Austin the Hazmutt was scratching himself. She didn't notice Little-Wolfe backing up nervously. "There are lots of sports to partake in - there's a track team, a flying team, Fearleaders, casketball... a great deal of physical activity! Clubs are mandatory here, but there is a wide assortment to choose from..."
Just as she was about to finish, the red waterfall poured over them and cut her off mid-sentence. Since the werewolf was already red, there wasn't much perceivable difference to Kasumi. She stood there, dripping and sticky, until she phased in and out, dropping the liquid to the floor. Curious, she bent over to look at it. "Hmm. Looks like we've sprung a leak somewhere. We should inform the cleaning gnomes about it. Perhaps put in a work notice with the secretary?"
She reached out to the werewolf girl, frowning. There wasn't much she could do to assist and could only phase herself. Ah, but there is a bathroom! "Do you think this will come off with soap and water? The bathroom is just down the hall. We should get you cleaned up as soon as possible."
Kasumi had no idea it was a prank, obviously.

The tip of LW's tail twitched ever so slightly, the only sign of the tension she felt through her entire body. Her head was starting to hurt just having to listen to Callix chitter and wail because he was covered in the sticky substance. Then there was Lucifer at her feet yowling angrily and refusing to move an inch, little wings flared to keep balance. And then there was Austin and Kasumi.
The hazmutt sat just on the other side of the liquid mess on the floor, tail lightly wagging when his lady master turned to look at him. Kasumi, it seemed, hadn't figured out this was meant to be a prank. Ah, perhaps LW could get away with this then? Maybe.
Coughing and wiping a little more of the stuff from her face, she cracked a small smile. "Prolly should tell them gnomes. They ain't gonna be happy about this." That was probably a very big understatement. And it hadn't slipped past her either that this type of prank didn't work on ghosts. Something to keep in mind for next time. Slowly, she started to move and step cautiously, leaning down to pick up her demon cat. He still wasn't happy about any of this but stopped yowling.
"Umm...I'm not sure if soap and water will work very well." LW said with a frown. "Least not the first few times of scrubbing." The she-wolf muttered. Well, nothing she could do except attempt to get some of it off her for now. And next time, she'd be sure to set up quick and be gone before anyone found her. At least no one would know who the culprit of this mess was. Good start. Except for being hit with your own prank.

Ah, the minipets were protesting. Kasumi pondered why the school would need to pump sticky red liquid through pipes (or something of the sort) in the ceiling, but she decided it was beyond her and let it drop. The chittering continued as Kasumi pondered a solution to their sticky problem. Snapping her fingers, she offered another possibility. "What if we could get you dried off? Would it then chip or something? We could possibly find a fan or... OH! Miss Secretary is an ice creature... maybe we could freeze it off? Yes, that might work!"
She wandered to the door and opened it, gesturing for the werewolf to follow. "We can go ask, if you like! Miss Secretary might be knitting, but she's quite agreeable and I'm sure she would be happy to assist." The fact that Arel was actually male obviously missed Kasumi by a mile, but they'd only met once, and very briefly. Still, regardless of whether or not Arel could help, the work order would have to be put in. She watched the halls to see if any other gnomes would come by so she could ask them.
"I suppose I could notify the office while you get cleaned up. It could be a duty of Student Council that I wasn't made aware of... She continued to ramble as she walked down the hall.

Callix's constant whining finally started to irritate her and she reached around towards her back until she managed to get a hold of the batling. He didn't release his hold right away until she gave a good tug. Then there was a flail of wings, more screeching and whining until LW had the batling held against her chest, giving him a look. Callix just hooked his little thumbs into the front of her shirt and clung. LW didn't mind this time as long as he shut up!
The hissing at her feet didn't lessen and LW sighed heavily, reaching down to pick up the demon cat. He was not a happy minipet right now. Carefully, LW helped him to her shoulders where he curled around her neck and shot a death glare at Austin. The hazmutt merely wagged his tail at everyone, innocently oblivious to the fact this was his fault.
Wait, what had Kasumi just said? "Miss S-secretary?" Who was that? Just the fact that the word 'secretary' was in there had her hesitating. That sounded like staff. Staff was not something she needed to run into right now. "I...I'm not sure-" The she-wolf blinked as the ghost started to walk away. Cursing her bad luck, LW carefully started to follow, making sure the smack at her hazmutt once. He just snorted (which sounded funny because of his gas mask) and trotted along beside her.
"Uh, Kasumi?" The she-wolf called out a little. "I'm...not sure this...what did you call her? Miss Secretary?" LW wasn't sure she wanted to meet this secretary. "I don't think that freezing is going to work. My best option is to start the many rounds of washing off with hot water and soap as soon as I can." Oh please! Pleasepleasepleasplease let her agree with this. LW did not want to go anywhere near the office! They probably wouldn't be so blissfully blind as to what had happened. "Is there a bathroom nearby we can go to so I can wash as much off of myself and my pets as possible right now?"

Kasumi stopped mid-sentence and turned around to face the other ghoul, folding her hands over her stomach in thought. Since the pipe didn't seem to be leaking any further, the ghost could put off alerting the staff of the problem until they got the werewolf and her companions cleaned up! Kasumi nodded furiously and pointed in the direction of the bathrooms, leading LW along. "Oh yes, you're very right. Come, the bathrooms are this way. I'm sure the water gets decently hot but... it's not like I need such things. I can't make any guarantees." That was another thing she'd have to keep track of, but being secretary, it was her job!
As the pair rounded the corner, Kasumi phased through the wall of the bathroom and frowned at the pair of ghouls standing around and prettying themselves in one of the mirrors. They were taking up all four of the sinks with their various makeups and things. Padding up to the two ghouls (both looked to be reapers, but Kasumi wasn't entirely sure), she politely asked them to stop clogging up four Jacking sinks. "Ladies, we have an emergency. We'll need two of these sinks. If you would please--"
One huffed at the secretary and scooped up her things, glaring at the ghost. Kasumi smiled her best and beckoned the werewolf in. "All's clear, Miss. Let's get you cleaned up."

When Kasumi began leading her towards the bathrooms, LW let out a low sigh of relief. She kind of felt bad for deceiving the ghost, but jack-damned if the she-wolf was going to go up to the office and explain why she happened to be covered in this substance! Besides, she really did want to at least try and get some of if off herself and especially her minipets.
"I'm sure it will be warm enough." LW said to assure her ghost guide. "Thank you for helping too, by the way." She could be nice, as she was grateful that Kasumi knew her way around. The she-wolf was still learning.
At her side, Austin let out a muffled woof of surprise when Kasumi just walked through the door. He almost followed but caught himself in time. The look he directed up at LW made her roll her eyes. "I am not a ghost." She informed her hazmutt. "Don't expect to see me doing that stuff." Shaking her head still, LW opened the door and dodged around what her nose told her was a reaper. She didn't look very happy either. Well LW didn't quite care at the moment. She was covered in the sticky honey like substance.
Walking up to one of the sinks, the she-wolf deposited her batling in it despite his protest. "Oh hush you. You want it off, right?" Next to Callix went Lucifer, who yowled annoyingly. LW just flicked his nose and twisted the faucet so water began coming out. "Behave." She warned both of them and then proceeded to lather up her hand with soap and start the process of washing her minipets. Both of whom did not like it one bit. Austin was just sprawled out behind her, watching the ghost-person and the other ghoul in the bathroom.
"I think two or three of these will do it for them. Then I'll try and at least get this stuff off my face." The rest would have to wait until she could shower.

Kasumi leaned over to watch the hazmutt on the floor. It was incredible how intelligent (or completely unintelligent as the case may be) minipets could be. She reached out to pat the pup on the head as LW was busy washing the ones who were currently yowling their heads off. "One would think they would be a bit more grateful to you for washing this stuff off of them!" exclaimed the ghost, who was giggling as Callix flailed about in his mistress' arms. "They should at least be thanking you, I would think. In their own way."
Being a ghost definitely had its perks despite Kasumi's dislike of it in the beginning. She could phase through walls, not have to worry about sweat or showering, only deal with eating if she wanted to... Really, being a ghost wasn't so bad at all. It was learning how to control one's intangibility that was the most difficult part. "You take such good care of them too... perhaps they could meet Horobi sometime?" Horobi was Kasumi's little wisp pet, one of the first she'd ever met while on campus. She scratched behind Austin's ear.
"You're a very handsome boy. Did you know that?" she asked him, smiling.
