******** snow battle.
Scheelite couldn't believe he had been snowballed off the field by a bunch of god damn Senshi. But, unfortunately it was true. He had reached a point of cold beyond ******** cold and couldn't stand it anymore, so after saluting the field he had teleported off to catch up with his partner.
After checking in with Zink, Scheelite had left to check on the one person he had left at the battle. The one that probably wanted to kill him at this moment...
NAAAAAH. She loved him! No way in hell Heather could be mad at him!
He had let himself in, as he tended to do when he decided to be extra annoying. Still chilly from the earlier battle, the blonde was currently holed up in what he claimed as 'his' chair, wrapped in a cocoon of blankets.
Now to just wait for Heather to get back... Maybe she had won the war!

Damned senshi. Damned Scheelite bailing on her like that. Seriously, what the hell. She grumbled as she walked up the step to her house. When she reached the door she fumbled with it, her hands pretty numb from all the snowballs, and finally managed to get it open. When she stepped in, she noticed the heat seemed to be up a bit higher than she'd left it. Though for the moment she chalked it up to being a para-sicle.
The lieutenant had already powered down to her civilian form, least she was dressed a little more appropriately in that means. The most important feature was the purple cashmere sweater. Soft. Warm...
...
"Demy?" She had been about to head into the kitchen to make herself a cup of tea, when she noticed a large mass of blankets on 'his' chair. Tilting her head to the side, she frowned.
"You better hope that's not you."

"Who else would I hope to be?" Oop, so much for playing quiet and just enjoying the nice warm cocoon of blankets he was buried in. "I mean I am pretty awesome, why would I want to be anyone besides myself? Welcome home Heather! I missed youuuuu!"
The large bundle of blankets moved enough to allow one arm out, which quickly waved at Heather before ducking back into the warmth. Mmmm, warmth.
"You should get some hot cocoa! It's yummy." He was just -full- of good advice today.

Heather stared at the boy like she was trying to cause his head to explode. In that moment, she wished it were possible. If it were to happen, she would have likely regretted it at a later date, but for the moment that was not a thought that came to mind.
"Yeah... I bet I should. What are you doing here, Demy?" her face did not even make any outward attempt at concealing her rapidly growing displeasure with the situation.
"Shouldn't you be at your dorm?"

The bundle of blankets moved again, this time draping over the arm of the chair so Demy could stare out at Heather. It was quite obvious he was trying to play the part of adorable younger brother. It was also quite obvious he wasn't really aware of just how angry she was with him.
"I wanted to make sure you made it back okay! And..Hillworth sucks, I didn't want to go back just yet..." Demy sat back up, now grinning at Heather. "Sooo...why should I hope it's not me? I'm confused Heather..."

"Oh, I don't know... maybe because you bailed on me in the middle of that snow battle with those damned senshi? Or did you forget about that. By the way, we lost. Just to let you know. Since there were only two of us left when you bailed." she growled, reaching down to her couch and whipping a throw pillow towards the cocooned boy.
"Hrmph."

The pillow connected, the boy letting out a startled yelp as it did so. But soon enough the pillow was absorbed into the cocoon mass too. Now he was warm AND had a pillow! Awesome!
"Heeey, I wasn't the only one that left! I was there a lot longer than a good amount of people...Zink included. I got too cold to fight any more Heather...My hands were all numb and my teeth chattering and I couldn't even aim right any more. It wasn't like it was a real fight, just a silly snowball fight! Let em think they won a 'real' victory, we'll get em next time..." He paused, looking genuinely distraught for his next words. "I am sorry I bailed on you thought, I don't like leaving behind my teammates....forgive me? Pleaseeeeeee Heather?"

"I don't care if Zinkenite left." she huffed, wandering over to gather up the pillow.
"I just... I expected more out of you." the girl grumbled the last bit a little lower volume, letting herself flop onto her couch. "I know it wasn't a real battle, but we don't know if it could have become that. I don't even know who that other negaverse agent was and if those senshi had decided that they wanted more than just a snowball fight, there was a good chance that, due to sheer numbers, it could have ended badly." she brought her head back up to look at the boy.
"I just thought you'd be there for the entire thing, that's all. I'm pissed, I'll get over it."

That had hit home.
"..H-heather..." The bundle of blankets moved again, the boy climbing out of his chair and moving to the couch. There he dumped some of the blankets off on her, with a simple "cover up and get warm, can't have my lieutenants getting sick!" as an explanation. He plopped down on the couch beside her, sighing just a bit.
"...I'm sorry, I shouldn't have left you. I'm a bad captain." He hung his head, being serious and not sarcastic or joking for once. It -was- a bad move. What the hell was he thinking leaving his lieutenant on the field alone like that?! She couldn't teleport! "You're totally right, leaving because I was cold was selfish and stupid and I'm a terrible leader for doing that. You should be pissed off at me, I'm sorry... I..can leave if you want me to..."

Normally, Heather would have shoved the blankets off and made some smart assed comment at Demy. Normally. However today, it seemed, was not a normal day. Instead she let herself sink a bit into the blankets, only above her nose showing out. She let herself lean against the boy she now called her brother, letting her head hit his shoulder.
"You're not a bad Captain." she piped out, though her tone was still agitated, it still seemed sincere enough, "Just inexperienced. We're all learning, Demy. We'll all make mistakes. Don't worry about it. Like I said. I'm pissed, but I'll get over it."
There was a long, uneasy pause, and Demy would feel Heather tug on the shirt of his arm. "Don't leave."

As Heather sank into the blankets and leaned on him, Demy let himself lean back. It wasn't very often the two could sit in peace and just enjoy the idea of 'family' even though they weren't blood related. Usually the -idea- was there, but they were so busy playing their usual game of annoying the living s**t out of each other that moments like this were few and far between, making them precious.
The blonde leaned his head against Heather's, sighing softly as he moved to adjust the blankets over both of them. "Inexperience can kill though...and -my- mistakes could kill my lieutenants, could kill you. I need to learn faster.."
Then came the tug to his arm. "Alright Heather, I won't leave." Inside he gave a silent cheer of YESSSSSS! He was needed! And he wasn't going to have to go back to Hillworth just yet.
On the outside he was blissfully silent.

"My own mistakes can kill me. If you think like that you'll just end up over thinking everything, and that can be just as bad. Don't let it get to you. Just accept the fact that I'm pissed, and get over it like I will." she grunted and griped, though it didn't cause her to move from where she was.
"You'll get there. You're a smart kid. We both know that. Give it time."
Another pause as he reassured her that he wasn't going to poof off.
"Thanks."

"Don't get killed." Yet more amazing advice from Captain Scheelite. "Besides the fact it would look horrible on a resume in going for General, I...don't know what I'd do if you die. Please don't die Heather, okay?" It was spoken like it was a simple request, but that could be chalked up to Demy just not always being that great at being serious. He meant it though. if Heather died, it'd just be one more important person in his life that bit it, and he really had no clue if he could handle losing yet another person he cared about.
"You think I'm smart?" He had to grin at that. It wasn't very often that someone called him smart. "We can do this Heather...we can be an awesome Negaverse force. The Senshi won the snowbattle today, but we're going to win the war."

"I'm not going to get killed." she stated firmly, leaving no room to argue the point. It just was not going to happen.
"Hrmph, don't let the smart thing go to your head. You may be smart, but I can still kick your a**." and would have no problems doing so either. Though she left that part out.
"Yeah, I know. Looking forward to that day too."

"But you still think I'm SMART." Well, so much for being quiet and nice family time. Now she had Demy grinning and thinking about how smart he was. This was one hell of a compliment for the young captain!
"I've almost got my plan together, then I have to pray the higher-up's like it. And THEN...then we'll make a strike against the Senshi and they'll remember our names Heather. It'll be awesome."
