Fall was beginning to take it's leave along with the crisp aroma's, and Winter was moving in with a eerie chilling wind. To many, they prepared for the upcoming cold; family's and herds migrating to more rich fields for the fleeting food sources. For few, such as Zisor, the arriving season didn't change his step, nor his mindset. His goal was to reach rougher terrain, to become stronger. Where that might be, he had not a clue. The mountains he'd already conquered, and the desert was a piece of cake. For now, he allowed fate to guide him.
The large war horse trudged through a gray forest, having found a small drinking hole to quench his thirst. He didn't need to drink often since he could travel on for quite sometime without much nourishment. But the stop had been pleasant and had replenished him.

The ghost looking male hid quietly behind the mask he wore on a daily basis. He rarely showed his face anymore then he had to at this point. He was a guide now of the forest and would help anyone that was struggling to find there way. His mask blended in with the forest, but his body stuck out like a sore thumb. His body had a faint glow to it and it made it a target for everyone eyes. He didn't like it all that much, but then again he was suppose to be a spirit guide for those that had lost their way. What good would it be if they couldn't see him right? Snorting the slight chill he felt in his nose, he took a look around before noticing a very interesting stallion close by. He was something that he hadn't come across yet either. He had a horn, but more then that he had on armor. This was new. A horse with human traits. Well he could always be a warhorse or something of the sort, but it never hurt him to ask.
"Hello." He told him as he slowly made his way over to the stallion eyeing him up a bit just to see how strong he looked. "Are you a warrior?" He asked him tilting his head to the side just like he use to do when he was a colt. He didn't know why he did this, but he did. "Are you an uni as well or is that a weapon?" He asked shaking his head some forgetting his manners once again. His interests always tore him away from how he could act. "I'm Hania Shen. What is your name sir?" He asked with his white eyeing beaming through the slits in his mask.

His ears stood erect, body suddenly stopping as he caught a scent. Nostrils flaring to take in more, he snaps his eyes to his side, head lifting high. Spotting the fair male, he snorts, and scuffs a hoof anxiously at the ground, muscles tensing and flexing behind his short furred coat. Tail flicking, he narrows his eyes while the other speaks, inspecting him.. reading him. So many questions... so much talk. Was he a spy? An unknown enemy? Standing his ground, he stared, waiting a long while to speak, "Why is it you want to know so much of me... We are strangers to one another. Or have you been put up to this?" He had many enemies, and was used to having assassins challenging him... and he wasn't going to underestimate anyone. No matter how weak they were... He'd learned over his seasoned lifetime that no one was to be trusted, not even allies.

Hania tilted his head not sure he ever heard such a thing before. How were questions bad? He never encountered someone that didn't like to be asked questions. Maybe this was the first one.. "I just like to know about others. No one pout me up to anything. I'm simply traveling like you are, but I'm looking for someone to talk to. Someone to possibly become friends with." He told him nodded a little noticing how he was acting in a defensive manner making him straighten up his own posture even though if the male attacked...he would be no match for that metal horn on his head. "If I have bothered you I am sorry. I can be on my way in a matter of seconds." He explained to him as he took a few steps back unsure of what the answer would be, but at the same time was a little taken back by this encounter.

Snorting firmly, he lifted his head further, one ear flipping back in a skeptical manner. Tail swishing, the large stallion took a few heavy steps towards the much more fragile male before stopping again, keeping a sharp eye on him. Pausing again as he looked him over, then looked along their surroundings, he finally looked off. "Fine... it's just a coincidence..." It very well could have been. After all, he wasn't the only one who traveled. His brow crooked at the mention of 'friendship'. That was not something that came so simply, as the way this stag's words made it sound. "You seek companionship then..? you must be careful who you chose to call an ally.." he lectured, looking down on the naive young sire. "Aimlessly looking for such things is not the smartest of routes to take..." he grumbled, slightly irritated at such a desire Hania searched for. He himself hadn't any friends, and he'd traveled the lands for quite sometime, meeting nothing but enemies or brief company in his travels.

Hania looked at the male more wondering what kind of a friendship they could ever have. He seemed tough and he liked that about him. Maybe there was a way he could train with him? It wouldn’t hurt to ask after all. “I seek that yes, but nothing further then that. I love getting to know people and I really want to surround myself with good people. If that is alright with you of course?” He asked tilting his head more before sighing lightly. “Why do I have to watch who is my ally?” He asked not understanding his way of seeing things.
“Why isn’t it? I don’t understand your reasoning. There isn’t that much bad out there in the world, but I know there are some. Trust me I do know…my mother and father were killed. I have suffered nearly my whole life.” He told him before shaking his mane out of habit. “What about you? Why don’t you trust others?” He asked wiggling his tail some.

His nose wrinkles in disgust, sneering down at the smaller male, "there is nothing further than an alliance.." he replies irritably, snorting hot air firmly from his nostrils. Taking another heavy step towards him, his head lifted higher, peering down upon the lithe stallion... who he could easily crush without a blink. "And what if you don't meet others who are good, hm..? I guess you cannot be friends with them, then.." what a foolish Cerynei. So naive to the world. Obviously oblivious to it's real face. "Blindly taking other's as an.. 'ally' is just a quicker way to your grave..." he growled, growing annoyed of his ignorance. "I'm guessing this is your first year on your own... for you have not seen the darkness that hides in every Soquili's heart..." his voice grows more deep and grumbly as he continues. Snorting again, he tossed his mane, "Death is nothing compared to betrayal.. death holds only one option.. and makes you stronger. Betrayal is like a poison or disease that can fester and breed..." His tail flicks, eyes unblinking as he stares down to Hania. Emotionless; aside from his irritance. Keeping still, besides his flared nostrils and twitching tail, he replied slowly, "There is no reason to trust others.."

The white stallion listened to the other male very carefully. "Really? I would have thought allies were the closest." He shrugged giving a snort as the cold air found it's way up his muzzle. "If I don't meet others that are good...well I don't consider anyone bad or anyone good really. Everyone is out for someone that some people just make poor life choices. I can be friends with them thought. Except for the one that killed my parents..." He said looking away from him some. "I don't feel that way at all. I think there are certain risks one must take in life. That being one of them." He told the stallion with a firm nod before tilting his head and shaking his mane a bit. "Maybe it has been my first year hear, but I have met many Soquili already especially when I was younger I met a cat walker. He did no harm to me when he claimed to be some vicious killer. I think everyone has good in them. No matter who they are." he nodded.
"If you don't trust others how will you ever be able to have friends or actually live a life? How will you have children or start a family? The mare or stallion you fall in love with there will have to be a form of trust somewhere in the relationship. Am I right?" He asked him tilting his head some more and sighing. "Death does leave a sting...one that I have felt for awhile now. I don't know what betrayal is like, but maybe one day I will feel it." he said to the stallion in a light tone.
