Halvar missed his sisters, a little bit, but he loved life with the Myrsky Syntynyt. His brothers were more fun than the girls, anyways. Right now, Halvar was stalking his brother Wodin. When they were grown up, they would fight real battles, but for now Halvar was pretending that Wodin was an enemy. He snuck towards the other cub, getting ready to pounce.

Wodin let out a draw out sigh, his smaller brother was clumsy and could not stalk quietly. He did not let on that he had already seen Halvar creeping twards him. Readying himself fro his brother's attack.

Halvar either didn't hear his brother's sigh or didn't realize it was directed towards him. The little lion waited until he was sure the time was right, and then jumped towards Wodin, letting out a little roar. "Ha! I got you, Wodin!"

Wodin Remembering the words of his father "War is never fair, as the biggest of my sons you need to constantly remind your brothers of this." So Wodin had been softening the soil beneath his paw. It was ready he lifted a fistful of the soft earth into his paw. At that moment Halvar lept into the air, "Ha! I got you, Wodin!" Quickly rolling to his back he pelted his brother in the eyes with the blinding dirt. Wodin felt no remorse they are training for real battles at all times he told himself.

Halvar hadn't beaten Wodin in a mock-battle yet, but the cub was optimistic. Maybe today would be the day. But when he jumped, Wodin was quicker. Before Halvar knew what was happening, his brother had flung dirt into his eyes. He let out a surprised yelp and crashed to the ground, wiping his eyes with his paws. He hadn't expected Wodin to be so mean! But they were going to be Stormborn some day, and Halvar did not yelp again, even though the dirt stung. He scowled at Wodin, his eyes watering. "That's sneaky." Totally forgetting the fact that he had sneaked up on Wodin in the first place.

Wodin returned the scowl without hesitation. At that very same moment he charged his younger brother full speed, plowing into the broadside of the younger cub with his head like a charging rhinoceros. “GET UP! Never Back down Halvar! GET UP! NOW! Wodin lowered his head letting his brother know from his stance this was not going to be the typical playtime the cubs were used to. Recently, Halvar had been growing concerned with his brother; Wodin was becoming more and more fanatical every single day, preaching to him every night about honor and battle, how there is no better way to die than in battle. The cubs heard this from the older lions but thought maybe it was just talk, Halvar could see in Wodin’s eyes he meant it. And right now he could see that fire in his brother’s eyes. The two cubs were “at war”.

Halvar heard a lot of talk about warriors and dying in battle, but he was still just a cub. Glory sounded nice, but he had a lot of things to do. Like play, and ... be alive. Playing at fighting was no fun when his brother was actually trying to kill him though. The cub was bowled over, letting out an indignant yell. "Hey! Stop it!" He got back to his feet, staring at Wodin. He could run back home ... but Wodin might chase him and beat him up again. He smacked at Wodin, frowning. Maybe if he hit Wodin back the other cub would stop being such a jerk.

Every time Wodin spoke of honor and battle his eyes twinkled like the brightest stars in the nightsky. He was very charismatic and spoke with purpose. Spit flew from Wodins mouth an he yelled at his brother HIT ME! Come on you pathetic weakling HIIIIIIIT ME!
Christopher Johnson
This was just getting weird. Being a cub, Halvar couldn't read that much into his brother's nuttiness, but he did know that it was weird. This game was no fun any more. He sat down again, staring at Wodin crossly. "Stop it, Wodin. Let's play a fun game."

"We are WARRIORS" Wodin yelled at his brother. "War isn't meant to be fun, its war." That’s why you will never be a great warrior. Wodin spit on the ground,” You Halvar, will always be a boy.” He turned and started to walk away. Wodin didn’t look back; eyes focused into the distance he wanted his brother to take a shot at him. He felt it would shame him if Halvar did not become a great warrior. Maybe he shouldn’t be quite so hard on him.
Christopher Johnson
It was kind of shameful to be yelled at like that. Of course they were going to be warriors, and Wodin hurt Halvar's feelings a bit by shouting at him. He stomped after his brother, annoyed. "Of course I'm a boy, you dummy, we're both CUBS!" He jumped at Wodin again, trying to pounce him from behind. Wodin was kind of a jerk. He really needed to be taken down a peg.

Wodin allowed his brother to gain the upper hand. The two rolled end over end for what seemed like a hundred yards. As they rolled towards the rocky shoreline something caught Wodin’s eye something white shining in the sun. Wodin easily shuffled away and bolted full speed, another bit of concerning behavior everything Wodin did was at full speed.
“Halvar quickly I saw this fall from the sky. It is a dying God.” Odin cried out to his brother “Do you know what this means, If we eat it we can become immortal and harbor all the power of the gods.”
Wodin became crazed with the thought of being a God. He immediately began to tell Halvar that he knew from the moment he was born he knew he was destined to become a God. He must have muttered it’s the prophecy thirty five times to Havlar.

After rolling around fighting with his brother for an eternity, Halvar was a bit dazed at the sudden change of pace. He picked himself up, blinking after Wodin in confusion. "Huh?" Being a young cub, Halvar was not terribly interested or knowledgeable in the ways of Gods, but he was fairly certain that he had not seen a dying god fall from the sky. He trailed after Wodin, eyeing his brother dubiously. "Are you feeling okay, Wodin? Did you hit your head?"

"Do you want it or not? DO YOU! Eat." Wodin took a deep breath and buried his face into what any sensible person could easily tell was just a very large dead bird. Circling High above looking for a snack Flaou a wise vulture had been loosely keeping an eye on the cubs. Had to land to get a closer look he could not believe what he just heard and saw, he thought to himself “Lions don’t often eat dead birds, what are these little ones up to”, overhearing one of the cubs yelling about gods this and gods that he knew this would be amusing to say the least. Flaou’s eyes perked up just then the what he was convinced was a retarded lion began choking on a small bone. He flew closer in.

Halvar really didn't want to eat a big dead bird, but Wodin was acting crazy and he didn't want to get in a fight again. "Okay, Wodin," he said, wrinkling his nose at the bird. It did not look appetizing at all. Halvar decided to just sit and watch his brother eat the disgusting dead bird. Maybe then they could go home. All of a sudden Wodin began choking on the filthy bird carcass. Immediately alarmed, Halvar jumped to his feet. "Wodin! Spit it out!" He smacked Wodin on the back with his paw anxiously.

Perhaps it was the lack of oxygen getting to Wodin’s brain while he was choking, once the bone disloged from his throat He told his brother that a god just spoke to him and it was a common mistake to eat angels. He was supposed to make a necklace from the bones.

First Wodin tried to kill him, then Wodin rushed off to eat a disgusting dead bird, and now Wodin was just acting insane again. Halvar scowled. He was a nice cub, but he was getting fed up with listening to Wodin's crazy talk. He just wanted to play and have fun and act normal. "You're crazy, Wodin. I don't like playing with you."

Wodin bellowed with laughter, “You will see Halvar, you will see.” He fashioned a necklace and the two trotted off. Wodin ahead of his brother as usual proudly displaying the disgusting tangle of bones draped around his neck. Flaou took this opportunity to fly over to the smaller cub he landed on Halvar’s back. This startled the young cub. Wodin said “Oh Hi bird, what’s up?” Flaou asked havlar if he understood how insane his brother was. Before the cub replied he took back to the air and told the young cub “I’m going to keep an eye on you two, you brother is troubled and you may need some help to keep him from hurting himself or others.” Flying into the sun’s rays Flaou disappeared from the cub’s sight.

His brother had beaten him up, yelled at him, and tried to get him to eat a rotting buzzard. Then his brother had nearly choked to death and started yelling about being a God. Then a vulture landed on his back, told him his brother was nuts, and promptly took off again.
This was truly the worst day ever.
Still trembling with nerves from Wodin's near-death and the sudden shock of a vulture landing on top of him, Halvar shook his head. "I'm going home now." He said firmly. Without waiting to see if Wodin would stick with him, the cub gritted his teeth and began stomping towards home, hoping to have no further adventures that day.

Wodin almost skipping came towards his brother and said to him “Wow this is truly the greatest day ever! Let’s go home.”
