It the time of year when all creatures great and small gather around. It's a time when anything can happen and dreams can come true. And we want your dream to come true by you having this charming christmas girl! There are very few spirits running around the Valley, at least see-through ones. Just answer one of the three prompts below, and at the end of the event, you could find yourself walking with this beautiful girl at your side! Please don't write a full novel, but you don't have to make the entries extremely short either. We would like to see at least two paragraphs. Entry Form:Your User Name:Mare's Name: Mares Temperament: (one word please) Prompt Entry: (1, 2, or 3) Entry Form: Your User Name: Mare's Name: Mares Temperament: (one word please) Prompt Entry: (1, 2, or 3)
Prompt 1 You are hunting in the shadow of the mountain, straying farther then you know you are allowed, but you were chasing a magnificent buck. As you continue your pursuit, there is a cool edge to the air, and the temperature suddenly drops. Standing in your path is a pale mare, and she is almost see-through. How do you react. Prompt 2 The snow blows blindingly around you. You are unable to see even three feet in front of you, but you stagger on, hoping to reach the village. You are a visitor to these lands, and did not take the villagers words to heart about the mountains moods, and how they can suddenly change. Through caked lashes, you think you see a mare before you, but it looks as though you can see the snow through her. She looks as though she is beckoning you to follow her. Do you follow the mare, or dismiss her as just a fantasy and continue to plow forward? Prompt 3 You are given a book to write in, a story that you know your grandchildren will some day read. What would you write? (this is the anything goes option pretty much, as long as the mare if featured)

"I should have listen..." I told myself as I move my cold hands over my mouth to blow some warm breath into them to heat them up. "I should have listen when they told me not to go.... But no... I just have to go on that moonlit walk on by the mountains and alone!" I yelled angrily at myself as I keep walk slowly through the snow is it keeps coming down all around me. I was unable to see much of anything around me. I don't ever know what part of the woods I was in. I knew I was loss but I couldn't stop. If I did, I knew I wouldn't make it til morning, or ever til the storm was over. I just had to hope that I can find my way back before it was too late.
I don't know how long I been walk but my body was telling me that it wouldn't go any longer. My legs was so weak, they couldn't hold me up any longer. I fell over, my face meeting up with the snow cover ground. I lift my head up slightly but only to turn it and rest it back down once more. I was so tired and to cool. I knew that my time is up now. I was going to dead here... alone... in the middle of the woods somewhere. Who know if anyone would found my body and if they did... I didn't want to think about it... It was starting to get hard to keep my eyelids open. I could felt them very slowly starting to move down over my brown eyes. Under my breath, I make a wish, a wish I knew wouldn't help. I wish for someone to save me... To lead me away from here and back home. I wish for a miracle...
Just when my eyes was about to see nothing but black, I notice something in the thin snowfall. It look like two red lights, just flying in the air. First, I thought of some firefly but their light were yellow, not red. Also, firefly only appear in warmer time, like spring and fall. Never winter and in a storm as bad as this one. I try to open my eyes a little wider to get a better look of those red lights. Was my mind play a trick on me or were those red light getting closer...? I just stay laying in my spot. watching as those light just got closer and closer. Soon, I was able to tell that there won't lights but eyes, eyes as red as the flames of hell. My eyes wider as big as they could as I thought that it was Death. He has came for me. But why was I going to that place?! I knew I did some bad things here and there but nothing big for me to go there!
It my body wasn't so cold and tired, I would have been shaking as those eyes move closer and closer. Ever in this thin snow, those eyes just cut through it like a hot knife through hard butter. I wanting to yell for it to go away, to leave me be but I just couldn't. Closer and closer they came and it was that much long when I saw the face those eyes belong to. It was so... long...? Wait... why does that face look like it belong to an animal...? Again, I just thought my mind was playing a game with me. That or death was really an animal. Well, a horse now that I was able to get a better look of it. But there was something off about this horse. I could see right through it. Oh no! It was a ghost! I'm going to dead in front of a ghost...? Well, it better then being alone I guess...
I clam back down, my eyes going back to they normal sizes. The ghost horse stop right in front of me and lower it's long neck so it's face was close to mine. I lock eyes in it and gave it a weak but soft smile. I think it smile back but how do you know when a horse is smiling at you...? The horse lift it's head back up and turn away from me, starting to walk off. Once more, my eyes wider in fear. I found myself able to lift my arm up at it and a tiny voice make it's way up through my lips, "Don't go..." I cry out. The ghost horse stop and move it long neck to look back at me. It then toss it's head almost as if it was telling me to follow. I didn't know if I would but I was going to try. I push myself up onto my hands and keens then starting to follow the ghost horse as it starting to walk once more.
I lost all scent of time by this point. I couldn't remember how long I been here. Was it a day... Maybe two... Or was it more like weeks... I just didn't know anymore. All I knew was right now, I have to keep up with this horse. I didn't want to be here alone. I didn't want to dead alone. But this horse just kept moving. Where...? I don't know... But I was going to follow it as long as I could. There were a few time when I thought was going to loss it but then it would come back to me then turn away from me once more. Soon, I was able to see the lights of the town. I was back home! I felt so happy that tears starting to fall from my eyes but they didn't go too far before they frozen over my skin. If found the power to get up on to my legs, ever if they shook under my body. I wanted to run but first, I have to do something. I turn to face the ghost horse as it stood to my side. I smile at it as brightly as I could and told it, "Thank you... So much..." The horse nods it's head before it just disappear from in front of my eyes. I would never forget about Miracle... The horse that heard my wish.

The night was calm. The soft winds blew upon the night. My hair flowing as the winds blew hard. The wind whistling hard past the window of the valley. My eyes squinted hard as the weather had suddenly turned harsh. My ears rang with the shrieking of the wind and the resounding shouts of the village. Skin on my face pricked with a thousand needles falling into a steel bowl. The furs around me clung close, my hands wrapping them around me as I trudged through the snowy valley. The trees around were dense, but they did little to shield me from the wind and the cold.
I sat down, among a large clump of trees. The night was moonless and howled. I could not tell whether it was the wolves in the forest, waiting for easy prey that was among the trees, trapped like a rat in a barrel, or it was the haunting song of the wind and the lost souls of the woods? It didn’t matter though. My eyes looked outward to the snow and the howling wind. A white haze over what was the landscape as the winds tore violently as if it was the end of times. I could barely see what was outside...
Over in the woods, a pair of eyes glowed. I could see them now. The haze and roar of the wind and snow still roared within the valley and the woods. There was something there, I knew it. Yet… It was staring into the maw of the beast. What was it? Who was it? I stood up. Trudging and walking, hearing a soft whisper. “Come….” I could hear. Was it the voice of my death? Or salvation? My mind raced, my eyes squinted to try and find what it was… A horse-like shape, a creature out there. “Wait….” I called, my crackled lips parted, giving off a whisper, a trickle of blood down my cracked, dry, and cold lips. My hand reached outward, feeling something soft yet fleeting. “Wait….” I gasped as my vision clouded. I saw white…. Not the snow, something soft, something warm…. My hand reached for the warmth. My vision fleeting as I pulled up. “Come….” I could hear a whisper…. The warmth returned, my eyes closed as a force jut me up and a loud neigh resounded…and that was all I remembered.
I shot up awake. Now in plain clothes on a matted floor, sore, my extremities numb still. “Where? Where am I?” I asked. “You gave us a scare young man.” An elderly woman replied. The scent of candles and herbs filling the air. “Who…brought me here?” he asked. “A spirit young one…” She replied simply as I stood up, still sore, slowly trudging out. There I saw the village from the top of a hill. The medicine woman’s hut overlooking the village as I looked down and saw my savior’s mark. A trail of footprints disappearing into the forest once more.
