If Va'en knew anything, he knew that if there was a problem it was best to go straight to the matter at hand. Morgath wasn't a dragonet anymore and he needed to come to terms with working with, not only his clutchbrothers, but other males in general. He seemed to have little problem with Blues, so far as he could tell. Browns and other Bronzes were a different story. Va'en was persistent and had been working with Morgath to get over it.
Having been told of Va'en's plan for that day and wasn't super thrilled, although he did agree to it. While His had gone to get breakfast, Morgath had done a spot of hunting and took care of himself in that aspect, even practicing a little bit of gliding while he was at it. He had a lot of bulk to move so he wanted to be sure he was strong enough when he and his siblings were ready for real flying practice. His great love of swimming seemed to help build muscle. The resistance of the water was not only enjoyable, but beneficial too.
Va'en had sent out his newest flit, Kielle, with a note to Set'al to find him after breakfast. The little green flit was quite eager to please if there was a promise of affection as a reward. She seemed fairly sharp, but he learned whatever smarts she had immediately took a back seat if she was getting loving, essentially turning into a trilling, cooing love bug until she either fell asleep or had enough of that particular person. Kielle was the most reliable of this three flits, more than his showboating, girl crazy Bronze or his lazy Brown. His thought was that maybe working together, or at least mutual practicing, might help work out the tension between the Bronzes. Hopefully.
The rider stood waiting where he had told Morgath to meet up with him after breakfast. When the Bronze approached, he smiled and extended a hand up to his dragon. "Eat well, Morgath? You look pleased."
I did, Mine. I gave a small glide before catching my breakfast. I think it wasn't too bad. He pushed the tip of his nose against his rider's open palm before straightening up to his full height, wings tucked close to his body. Any sign of Pipith and His yet?
"Patience, Morgath. If you are so curious, reach out to him and ask if Kielle has arrived to deliver my note. It'd be nice to know that she didn't go and get lost."
Morgath gave a long, slow exhale, quite resembling a heavy sigh if anything. Alright, Mine... He turned his focus outward to reach for his brother. Pipith, Mine wants to know if his flit has reached you and Yours. Bright, affectionate, and goes by the name Kielle? If so, are you on your way? We are waiting. Quickly noting a pointed look from Va'en, he added on. Also...Good morning to you and Yours from me and Mine.

Pipith and Set'al were, in fact, on their way - at least until Morgath asked. With an angry rumble, the small bronze stopped in his tracks and sat, fixing His with a baleful glare. Set'al had, wisely, not told him that they were going to see Va'en and Morgath, knowing that his dragon would absolutely refuse to go along.
You should have told me, Mine. It was wrong that you did not tell me! Pipith's eyes whirled red.
The former Runner sighed. Sure, he felt a little bad, but what else was he supposed to do? As much as he loved his dragon, his dragon also happened to be a pain in the a**. "Come on, Pipith, you have to get over this. Just because Morgath is bigger doesn't mean y-"
The bronze hissed and made a point of hunkering down. No, I am not going. You cannot make me. If you go, you will go by yourself.
"Shard it, Pip, don't be a wherry! Come on!" Set'al grabbed one of his dragon's headknobs and pulled, though he was well aware it wouldn't get either of them anywhere. "Come on, please? This is embarrassing!"
Pipith had had quite enough, thank you. He shook off his rider's hand and roared at him. Leave me alone and go be embarrassed! I will have nothing to do with Morgath.

Morgath waited a few moments for a response from his brother before looking to his flatly. He isn't answering me, Mine, on anything.
Va'en sighed and scratched the back of his head, a slight furrow in his brow. "He did hear you?" The bronze gave him an affirmation to which he dropped his arm. "Could you try him again?"
The huge bronze shut his eyes looking less than enthused. I'll give him a few moments before trying him again. Perhaps you can call out to His to see if they are close. Or you can go see for yourself...
Kielle circled Set'al and Pipith, chirruping before fluttering down to land on the bronzerider's shoulder. The flit looked between the two males, shuffling her wings excitedly before springing off of the rider's shoulder into the air, alarmed at Pipith's roar. The little green flit swooped down to hover a foot or so away from the bronze's face and twittered angrily at him. She snorted and flew up then down the path, disappearing into some greenery.
Va'en mulled it over for a moment before shaking his head. "Why not? Please stay here, Morgath. I'm only checking down the way." He raised his brows and nodded, waiting until he got an okay from his partner. "Good. I'll be right back." With that, he marched down the path that he had taken to wait at the meeting place. He took a breath to call out but paused at catching sight of a flash of bright green. "Kielle." An enthusiastic chirp answered him as the flit practically dove through some greenery to reach the rider. She fluttered into a landing, clinging to the front of his shirt. Chuckling and scratching under her chin, he looked up and around. "Were you following them here?" Va'en cleared his throat as he continued walking, mindful not to jog for fear of having Kielle sink her sharp little claws in to secure herself better. "Set'al?" He called out as he walked. Hopefully they weren't too far off, lest someone think he was talking to himself or something.
Morgath decided to try reaching out to Pipith. Pipith, Mine really wants this. He said it'll be good for us in the long run. Is Yours feeling something different?

Nope, not happening. Pipith was not going to be answering Morgath, especially not today. He was now in a bad mood, and quite stubbornly set in it. He even snapped at the little firelizard when it dared to twitter at him, then let out another hiss.
"Sometimes I hate you a little," Set'al grumbled, staring at the bronze, and finally threw up his hands. What was he supposed to do with this sharding dragon?! Really, sometimes he wondered why Pipith had picked him, rather than someone he had more in common with.
"Here," he said flatly, when Va'en came looking and called out.

Morgath waited for any answer from his brother. Nothing. He snorted. Mine, he's being difficult...
The annoyed tone in Morgath's voice made him Va'en grin a little. 'Okay. You tried. Give me a minute or two to see what's going on.' He looked down to little Kielle who was relishing even the somewhat absent minded scratching he was giving her. Upon hearing a voice up the way, he looked up and cupped a hand around the flit to keep from startling her as he quick walked after Set'al's voice. "Ah, there you are. I'm glad to see Kielle reached you. I was worried that she had gotten lost. " He started with a smile before looking to the truly planted bronze, his smile fading a bit and turned his attention back to his fellow Sr.Weyrling. "You didn't tell him where you two were headed? Maybe I shouldn't have had Morgath contact Pipith so soon..."
He lowered the hand that was cupped around the flit, who blinked and looked around. She climbed up his shirt to perch on his shoulder before gliding over to Set'al's shoulder again. The green snuffled in his ear before nuzzling his cheek. Va'en scratched his jaw. "She likes happy people, or is hoping for some affection. Sorry about her if she's bothersome." Kielle chirped brightly before looking to Pipith, as if working something out, tilting her head this way and that. She was wanting some undivided attention but this great big grump was distracting hers and this new fellow!
"Hm." He leaned over and lowered his voice to a conspiratorial whisper. "Maybe I can just call Morgath over here and we can see what we do from there."

"You know how he is," Set'al lamented, while the dragon in question harrumphed and closed his eyes. Apparently he was going to give all of them the silent treatment now. Ignoring things and people he didn't like had turned into one of his ways of dealing with them. If he couldn't win, he would pretend they didn't exist. It was, in a roundabout way, another way of winning.
As someone who usually tried to get along with other people, the bronzerider found Pipith's attitude towards his larger clutchmate quite distressing - and frustrating. He gave the flit who now occuppied his shoulder an absent scritch. "She's fine, don't worry about it."
Set'al nodded, then, at Va'en's suggestion. "Yeah, we can try that."
