Name: Tachibana, Kenshin
Nickname(s)/Alias(es): Ken-Ken (given to him by an elderly woman he stayed with for a short time)
Race: Shinigami
Actual Age: 19
Apperance Age: 7
Height: 3’9”
Weight: 72 lbs.
Rank:

Physical Description: Though Kenshin generally doesn’t take off his cloak, when he does you can see how frail he really is. He has dark brown hair, almost to the point of being black that’s just long enough to be considered shaggy. His face is more angular than the typical persons from being slightly malnourished with deep fiery red eyes, and slightly blue sclera, peering out at people. Kenshin always wears what seem to be wrapping around his wrists, fingers, and ankles but it’s not for the usual reason. Where as people normally wear them for training or fighting, he wears them to keep his fragile structure from breaking down from every day activities. The only thing he has for clothing are a pair of worn-out pants and a cloak with a hood that he managed to steal from a local shop. Because of this he always seems dirty, only having a chance to wash his clothes once in a great while.

Personality: Kenshin has a personality to match his beaten frame. He is extremely timid around people and hand shy to the point of cringing when ever someone so much as raises their voice around him. This leads to some very interesting situations when presented with loud spoken people. Kenshin has a generally sweet demeanor as long as you don’t frighten him.

Inner World

Sealed Form: A Shinogi-Zuguri stylized tanto with an eight inch blade and a seven inch hilt that he wears around his waist. Instead of the typical wrapping Kenshin’s zanpukato is surrounded by shaved bamboo.

(Not obtained yet) : Kiga no Tenma (Demon's Hunger)/ Kuikorose (Devour)
Shikai Description: Kenshin's tanto releases a burst of energy. When this happens, the weapon seems to break down into a dust like substance and resolidifies into a circular weapon with three sets of three blades, each slightly off set from the rest. In between each set of blades is a wrapping similar to that which keeps Kenshin's brittle bones from snapping. Usually the released form of his weapon just dangles in front of him like his tanto does, but it is capable of being taken off and used in combat should the need arise.

Shikai Powers/Attacks: The main power of Kenshin's zanpukato is to amplify the strength of his kido by a factor of 3, meaning a kido of level 9 has the stength of a level 27 and so forth. The secondary power of his zanpukato is to deconstruct elements* around him and reconstruct them within his kido. By doing this his demon spells will carry a greater force then normal.

* This does not include elemental attacks. He can not deconstruct an attack to use it within his own, the elements must be naturally occuring in the battle field for him to use.

(Not obtained yet) Bankai Name:
Bankai Description: A wave of energy explodes out from Kenshin to signal the activation of another release for his zanpukato. Behind him a large circular gate-like apparatus solidifies out of his own reiatsu and a collection of elements from the battlefield. His clothing* also changes, his cloak casting a shadow over his face so only his fiery red eyes are visible. The bandages that once wrapped around his wrists, ankles, and other selective spots now grow to cover the majority of his body, with his hakama being tattered and torn, no site of upper dress in site. Oddly enough he keeps the same weapon as in shikai, though now it can be connected and disconnected from his person with no more then a thought.

*This is just to show an example of the bandages and hakama. He does not have long hair, nor all the excess reiatsu leaking out and he is by no means a single entity with his zanpukato spirit.

Bankai Powers/Attacks: Kenshin's bankai could be described as his shikai on steroids. It amplifies the strength of his kido by a factor of 8, making a spell of level 9 have the strength as one of level 72. Because of this even a relatively low level kido can have a devastating effect. The secondary effect of his bankai is the deconstruction of naturally occuring elements and excess reishi and recontructs them into useful energy to amplify his kidos' physical strength.

Disadvantages of Kenshin's zanpukato: His zanpukato offers no help in the way of speed, strength, stanima, or even health. That being as it he can easily break bones by the force of swinging his zanpukato. Even during bankai, when the bandages encompass the majority of his form, an unseated shinigami could easy cause him sever physical pain. The same thing goes for his kido. If the force pushing back on him is too great he can shatter his own bones which may be why he doesn't like to release his blade often.

Special Accessories: Kenshin has yet to receive any special items.

Skills: He has no skills. In fact, he is below average on just about everything that requires physical aptitude.

Abilities: Kenshin has an unbelievable amount of control over reiatsu for his age. This is displayed one day when he uses his reiatsu to bind the arms of three teenagers behind their backs, in a manner similar to Bakudo #1, by screaming when they attempted to beat him up once again. Due to his refined control he is easily able to lower the amount of his visible reiatsu to just a flicker making it extremely hard to be tracked by those who aren't well versed in it. His control over reiatsu also allows him to use kido more easily then other practitioners of his level.

Biography/History: "My luck? My luck couldn't be worse... I was born to a poor family that lived just outside of the Zaraki. At just a couple months old a family friend told my parents that I more then likely was born with a health problem called 'brittle bones'. Growing up I was considered a freak because of my eyes and was beat up for it on a daily basis by the local kids. My parents died early, and I was left to fend for myself. Luckily an elderly lady took me in, cared for me until I could fend for myself as much as any other kid could. I stole what I needed to eat, and slept where I could with a cloak the old lady had given me. All in all, my life was as good as it was possibly going to get until one day while I was out scrounging up some food, a group of teenagers thought it would be fun to to pick on me... I ended up on the ground, my arms already bruising and my head threatening to explode, and I yelled. I screamed for them to stop, that it hurt. I wished their arms would just tie themselves behind their backs and then I heard something I had never heard before. Three of the people hitting me hit the ground beside me, and the rest yelped and ran off. It took me a couple minutes before I was able to see straight again, to clear my head of the pain, but when I did I saw a man standing over me. I had seen a few others like him, going to and from bars, but this one was different. I'm not sure how, but I know he was.

A week after that I found myself in the Shinōreijutsuin, the Shinigami Academy, where I once again was picked on for my appearance. This time though I had teachers on my side so I remained relatively safe, a resident healer giving me some bandages to place around my wrists and ankles which had become especially weak during my stay. I barely passed the academy's tests for hakudo and zanjutsu, the healers having to work on me after each test no matter how short they were. I did, however, excel in the spiritual arts, and when I graduated they suggested I sought out Captain Shiboo and requested entrance to his Squad. Now, I just await his decision."
