User Image She slowed to a walk, stopping next to him so she could look at the holes. There was a lot of them. She chewed on her lip, tail swishing as she stared at them, trying to decide how to smoke the rabbits out.

"I.. I don't know," she said finally, sounding sad. "I always chase them before they get to their homes."

User Image Chane leaned forward to sniff at a hole, "Maybe we could dig them out? I could dig and you can chase them when they try and get away?"

He'd never tried it before but at least it sounded like a good idea.

"Okay!" She brightened up again and bounced around eagerly. "Maybe we could put rocks or something on top of the other holes? That way they can only come out of one hole!" She grinned up at him, eager for his approval.

"Okay!" Chane nodded. "We'll need some rocks then!"

He started looking around but he didn't see anything more then a few pebbles.

"Umm... Would grass work? There's lots of that..."

"Hmm..." She looked around and looked at the grass. "I don't know, Chane.. We can always try it?" She looked up at him, wanting his guidance.

"I think that would work," he said before grabbing a hunk of grass in his teeth and pulling up. His pointed teeth didn't grab the grass well though and most of it slipped right through. The stuff that did break off made him gag, "Uhg!"

He tried to spit it out, "OH! That's awful! How do they eat it!?"

She started to giggle at that. It was rather funny seeing him trying to spit out the grass. "It doesn't taste good?" she teased, moving over to him. She bent down to grab some grass herself, and met with much the same reaction.

"Ew! That /is/ gross!"

He burst out laughing at that, "Don't you trust me that it's gross?"

He sighed, "Still, I guess grass is out of the question for blocking the holes.... Maybe we can just kick some of the entrances in?"

"Yeah, but I was trying to help." She spat out some more of the grass and turned to one of the holes. SHe frowned at it, then stomped on the entrance with her paw. The dirt crumbled a bit and fell inwards. "Oh! I think it'll work!"

He came over and took a close look at the kicked in hole before nodding.

"They could still dig themselves out but not fast enough. I think this will work! Quick! Fill up some of the other holes before they figure out what we're doing!"

She grinned at him and raced over to the next one. She did the same thing there, and at the next one. "Chane! I think its working!"

He kicked in a few himself and then fell silent to try and listen for the rabbits. After a few moments he found a hole that was emitting a lot of noise.

"Over here! Watch this hole! I think they're all in there!"

Still grinning she crept over to the hole and crouched down in front of it. "Maybe we can get them when they're coming out. We wouldn't have to chase them at all!"

He picked another spot far behind the hole, "I'll start digging here! Hopefully they'll get scared and run for it!"

True to his word he started pawing at the dirt, ripping up large chunks at a time and pushing them away before going for the next bit.

She crouched down further, her hind up in the air as she watched and waited for a rabbit to pop up from the hole. As soon as one did, she jumped on in it, effectively snapping its neck before tossing it aside and getting ready for the next one. "Got one!"

"Good! Good!" Chane called back.

The ground crumbled beneath him and his bad paw fell into the hole. Pain flared up his leg and he nearly cursed out loud. He kept his silence though, not wanting her to stop catching food over this.
