[11/25/10] Update: Registration for the Little Cup Tournament is officially open!
[11/24/10] Update: Tournament thread is currently under construction. Welcome to the D/P Gaming Guild's second annual Little Cup Tournament! For those who don't know what the Little Cup is, the Little Cup originally spawned in the N64 Title Pokemon Stadium 2 as one of the four Stadium Cups where players competed with newly-hatched "baby" Pokemon. The rules of this cup are quite simple: all Pokemon must be at level 5 (or under), without exception. Just as well, Pokemon must be of the lowest stage in their evolutionary line and must be able to evolve. Though this cup was officially for Pokemon hatched from an egg, Pokemon caught in the wild can be entered as well as long as they meet the level 5 requirement. If this sounds like your kind of tournament, then please, enter now! Quote: Preliminaries: To move on to the main tour, each trainer must obtain 3 victories from 3 different trainers. The battles must follow the rules and clauses, and must be Free Battle Singles. Trainers may challenge anyone at any time as long as they obtain 3 victories from 3 different trainers. Remember: Loses do NOT count against you so if you lose to someone in the preliminaries, simply find someone else and try again. Preliminaries will last until the end of December 12th, then the qualifying Trainers will proceed. (Actual dates are subject to change as needed.) Main Event: The Main Event will be a simple Bracket style Tournament with all matches being Best 2/3. Each Round will have 1 week before each unfinished matches gets cut and the rest move on. ----- Advertise for us! RULES Theme: Little Cup* Preliminaries and Direct Single-Elimination Main Event (See above post for details). * You must only use level 5 Pokemon (or below). * 3 vs 3, Free Battle (single) * Only first-form Pokemon capable of evolving are eligible (ie: Pichu, Torchic, Munchlax, etc) * Each round will last 1 week (12 days max). Banned Pokemon/Moves/Items* Banned Pokemon (The "Uber Tier" Of Little Cup): Meditite, Murkrow, Scyther, Sneasel, Yanma, Wynaut and Tangela. * Banned Moves: Dragon Rage (always deals 40 damage), Sonicboom (always deals 20 damage) * Banned Items: Deepseatooth, Brightpowder, Quick Claw, Focus Band, Razor Fang and King's Rock. General Rules1. If you used a cheating device like AR, CB, or GS to hack in fake Pokemon, max stats, etc. then please do not scam us and enter this tournament. This is only open to honest trainers with official teams. If you can't find shinnies and your friends hack them for you and trade them to you, don't enter. If you don't feel confident about your team, just don't enter. Play fair. Trust in your own abilities. 2. Please do not disconnect from the match and make up a bogus excuse to cover it up. Make sure you have a strong Wi-Fi signal. If not, just don't enter. 3. As a default setting, voice chat must be turned off unless requested by your opponent and even then, you have the right to refuse. 4. If you do not post your friend code, you will be not registered into the tournament!Clauses in Effect:* Species Clause: All of your Pokemon must be different * Sleep Clause: You can only put 1 of your opponent's Pokemon to sleep at a time. * Self-KO Clause: Your Pokemon cannot use moves like Explosion, Perish Song or Self-Destruct to win if it's the only Pokemon remaining on your team. * Item Clause: Each Pokemon on your team must hold a different item. (Leftovers included.) * Evasion Clause: Moves like Double Team and Minimize are banned from being used. * OHKO Clause: Moves like Fissure, Guillotine, Horn Drill and Sheer Cold are banned from being used.

Also Ky, we should bann the use of sonic boom and dragon rage kind of moves that also count as an OHKO (or VERY reliable damage) with 100% accuracy in such an early level
