A Tale of DRAGONS... The peaceful continent of Oomara. Tranquil. Seemingly at peace. Humans and Dragons, along with other creatures, all coexisting with one another.
This is a past long forgotten...
Now, in this ancient land, your best friend and ally is your chosen weapon, and you must fight for your very right to live...
The cities and villages are now turning to specially conditioned warriors to defend their residents. These warriors are called Hunters and they are very good at what they do. Some will have just came to this land, others from nearby areas, but they all have the same purpose and task in mind. To hunt, kill, and ward off these creatures. The most common of these creatures are the Dragons/Wyverns, and by far the most dangerous.
At the center of Oomara is the most populous of the human cities, Alfitaria. This city has anything one needs to live, given that the Hunters hold against the creatures that hunger for the flesh of Alfitaria's residents. The Hunters also have a dual purpose for the city, for they also go out for much-needed supplies to keep the city stable.
Surrounding Alfitaria is the Moga woods. This forest has it's own respective and sepreate areas to fit the habitat of any and all creatures. Each section with it's own sudden climate change to the respective directions from Alfitaria to the places around the city. Only the strong, prepared and mighty Hunters ever venture passed here into the lands that lie farther from the human city...
Go north and you will find a desert wasteland known as the Dryfire Dersert. Dragons are as tough as came be as they live in this barren landscape with minimal food and water, along with the other creatures here. Many creatures here dig through the ground and ambush their prey.
If you go to the east of Alfitaria, you'll find yourself at the Flooded Forest. A vast and beautiful area of never-ending trees and water with few dry patches. There is hardly a place you can stand without getting your feet wet and many of the creatures here are amphibious or aquatic, being that there are countless lakes and ponds.
To the west of Alfitaria is the Burning Plains, where in the center a tall and menacing dormant volcano that can be seen even from the Flooded Forest. Here, creatures of flame roam free and do as they please. These creatures are the only creatures that do not venture into the Moga Woods, as they depend on the heated landscape and various stones and ores for food. One could find many caves and alcoves that would lead them to the heart of Mount Kilanda, the volcano at the center of the Burning Plains, where creatures live that dare the mightiest hunters to come in after them. There are even rumors of a creature said to be a God that would be the ultimate hunt at the very peak of Mount Kilanda... Though no one has ever made it even close to 1/4 of the way up the volcano's slope.
And finally, to the south of Alfitaria is the Frozen Tundra. The land here is as cold and merciless as the monsters that thrive on it. This place snows through 3 of Earth's 4 seasons and hails the other. The creatures here also don't venture into the Moga Woods due to their dependence on the freezing climate.
Passed these lands are uncharted seas that hold the unknown and have never been traversed.
Though these places have their foreboding beasts and terrains, they are still dotted with various human camps and villages.
The hunt is on, but will you be ready? [Note: This is an RP reserved for only Jessi, Sammi and myself.]

Marbogast scraped a whetstone along the blade of his Lagiacrus Greatsword. The sound of scraping stone on metal pierced the silence in his hut that he lived in within the city of Alfitaria. He put down his whetstone and unspected his blade, holding it straight out and looking down its edge. "A little more never hurt anyone. Except, of coarse, my next hunt.", Marbo chuckled to himself, then continued to sharpen his favorite Greatsword. He had other ones in vaious places of his hut, made from various different monsters, but this one was his favorite because it came from the Lagiacrus. His first hunt on a Lagiacrus was the most memorable hunt he would ever have due to the creatures intelligence, agility, and power.
Isaac Nettlebrand was currently stalking through the Moga Woods. He glanced in every direction, expecting something to jump on his back. He carried a large sac that was tied to his armor on his back that was his supplies on this hunt, along with his lance and shield on his back. It didn't slow him down much, as he was used to lugging around heavy supplies by now. This time he was hunting a group of Ludroths that had been spotted near his current location, which was a few miles from an Aflitarian farm, which wasn't so comfortable with the Ludroths so close. This part of the Woods was in the direction of the Flooded Forest, which ment he would most likely stumble apon monsters from the Flooded Forest. Isaac prayed that the worst he would run into was a Royal Ludroth. A worst possible scenario would be a Lagiacrus, or worse still, a Royal Ludroth, Lagiacrus, and a Gobul.

Trent walked silently leading the way through the thick woods. His eyes scanned the area around them as they hunted the Bnahabra in search for a Queen's Needle. They were going farther North then he wanted. Soon they would hit the Dryfire Desert. "this might have been a wasted trip." He said finally stopping to let them rest a few minutes.
Arwen sighed and leaned up against a thick tree trunk. "I think you might be right." Arwen felt drained Trent had been dragging her through the woods all day with no rest and now he is saying it was all for nothing. That seemed like a huge let down.
A soft sound caught Trent attention and had him drawing his bowgun. "Well it seems we found our target." He pointed the gun at the bugs clinging to another tree trunk. He took aim at the closest one and fired. The bug's head exploded to bit and the other attacked.
Arewn drew both her swords as the bug came in close she slashed with both swords taking wings and head off two of the closest bugs.
Trent took on most of them, using his sword and shield to ward them off an slice them open. The brother and sister pair fought off the lot of bugs and in no time the remainder of the bug swarm flew off.
"All that work for nothing." Arewn grumbled as she picked through the remains of bugs. Sitting up quickly she had in her hand a Queen's Needle "We got one!" She waved the thing around in the air.
"Good. Now we can get out of here." Trent began walking away knowing his sister would follow. Like she always did.

"It's a large city," Rayen began, he had been handed a machete to clear the obstacles from their path for him and the woman he was traveling with, "And I must say if we'd be able to handle ourselves, I can't fathom how bad this monster onset really is." Rayen was not wearing his armor, but his average clothing with less adornment and only the royal circlet he had grown accustomed to wearing everywhere.
"Perhaps they're just lacking in hunters. We certainly never had that problem Lixue replied. She reached over in a motherly fashion to push a lock of the boy's hair out of his face, "You know your highness you had best take the crown off before we arrive. We don't know how the people will react to royalty. We're only here to fight the beasts. Not to make friends. And certainly not to make enemies."
"I wear it not as a symbol of authority, Lixue." Rayen replied, still casually slashing away the vines in front of them. They had spent the last week traveling. After making it across the tundra with only a few obstacles, they had begun making their way through the woods. According to Rayen's innate sense of direction they would be out of the woods- yesterday. However, according to Lixue, they were nearing the edge, and therefore, the city. But as Rayen cut down a vine obscuring their path, he found himself looking at a small part of what was definitely a large creature. He quickly took a step back, "Lixue, what is that?"
"I've never been outside of the tundra." Lixue whispered back, "I have no idea what it is. But it's huge."

Marbogast now had his Greatsword on his back and strolled out of his hut. He lived on the edge of Alfitaria on the city's southern most tip, so as to avoid the hustle and bustle of the city. The Hunter took in a deep breath of the cool midday air, then started on his way toward the city. About a mile later he was in the familiar and crowded city of Alfitaria, approaching a building with various monster skulls hung on the walls. It was the Alfitarian Hunter Guild Building, or just Guild Building for short. This was where Hunters would come when they were prepared and willing to take on a hunt. Marbo walked through the openning that was the entrance and walked toward one of the many desks. The other Hunters that were in his way humbly stepped aside for Marbagast, and Marbo nodded in thanks. He made it to one of the desks. "Anything urgent that needs to be dealt with?", he asked the girl behind the desk. The girl shook her head. "None, Marbo. The monsters seem a bit sluggish today.", she said with a happy smile. Marbogast nodded. "That's good. I'm in the mood for a Rathalos or a Lagiacrus. Got one for me?" The girl looked through varying stacks of parchment until she handed Marbo one with a crude pianting of a Rathalos on it. "There's a nest that could due with your Greatsword. Happy hunting!", the girl same with a sweet smile. Marbo took the parchment and looked it over. "I'm game. Though, if there's a Rathalos and a nest, then there's sure to be a Rathian there too. I'll get right on it.", he said then thanked the girl and walked back out of the building, starting south toward his hut so he could get his supplies.
Isaac walked into a rather large clearing, bare of any monsters. He took out the parchment that had his quest written out for him and furrowed his brow. Then he kicked a rock that was in front of him out of frustration. "The bloody creatures aren't here!", he hissed to himself, trying his best to keep quiet in case anything was nearby. One could never be too careful. "You're a hunter Isaac. Hunt. Think like a Ludroth.", Isaac said to himself and looked back at the parchment and read over a brief description of a Ludrth that was on it. "They're aquatic, so I'll look for the nearest water source then-", he stopped whne he heard a throaty, reptilian howl not far from him. Isaac bolted in the other direction and hid behind a tight cluster of trees. Soon enough, he heard light footsteps with the mixture of one pair of heavier footsteps in the distance about where he was standing before in the clearing. He stole a glance out from between the trees and caught sight of a Great Jaggi accompanied by several other smaller Jaggi and Jaggia. "Great. Just flippin' great.", he said to himself.
A large Aptonoth was taking a peaceful nap with his herd not far away in the large clearing. The Aptonoth lay on his belly leaning against a sturdy tree until it heard a faint sound coming toward him. He raised his head in time to see a human cut down a vine to reveal itself. The Aptonoth rose to it's feet and gave long and deep call, stepping away from the hunter and stepping even further away when a second human came into view behind the first.

Arwen heard some movement off in the distance. Some thing loud and big. Grabbing her brother by the shoulder she jerked his attention to the sound. "Could be some thing worth killing." She said softly.
Trent moved on in the direction of the noises. Once he got close enough he noticed a large heard of Apotonoth. He relaxed, they weren't known for being aggressive. But he noticed one looked startled and was backing away from some thing. Worried it might be some lost child Trent called out "Is some one there?"
"You think that's a good idea?" Arwen hissed in his ear. "They could all go into a panic and trample us." She said ducking lower down behind some bushes.
"Shut up. Look that one is startled over some thing, it could be some one who is lost. And this is a bad place to end up lost." He said softly pushing his sister away when she moved in to look over his shoulder. "You have a bad habit of getting to damn close to people."
"Oh bit me." She stood up waving her arms to get some of the Aptonoth to move "Hello out there!?"

Rayen drew back his sword and prepared to charge when he was stopped by Lixue grabbing his sword. He quickly turned his head to face her, "Lixue! What the hell?!"
"It's not hurting anything, and it's scared of us." She pointed out, letting go of Rayen's sword to grab his head and make him look at the beast, "He's probably a vegetarian." She took him by the shoulders this time and pulled him toward the side, "Let's just go around him, and move on."
"Lixue, I came here to kill monsters. Didn't you?" Rayen looked back at the creature. "Maybe it seems harmless but if we don't eliminate it, it could kill someone else later. And that becomes your fault."
"But look at him," She tucked her hammer into her belt and slowly began sneaking up toward the creature, with her hands up in a nonthreatening fashion, "Hey there big guy," she spoke in a low tone, "you're not gonna hurt anyone, are you?"
"Lixue, you're crazy!" Rayen spoke in a harsh whisper, "Come back here! Don't do that!"

Marbogast walked all the way back to his hut and started gathering materials for his hunt on the Rathalos. His Hunt Sheet said that the monster wasn't far, only in the Moga Woods a several miles south of him. Marbo grabbed anything he thought he would need. Potions, traps, barrel bombs, flash bombs, dung bombs, drugged meat, cooking spit, everything he needed was put into a backpack made from the skin of a Gigginox and held in place with a bone frame. The Gigginox skin was very flexible and easily fit all of Marbo's equipment, only he had to strap the barrel bombs to the sides of his pack. The barrels were tall enough to reach Marbo's chest, filled to the brim with gunpowder, and heavy. Once everything was situated and his equipment was gathered, Marbo strapped his Lagiacrus Greatsword in between his pack and one of the barrel bombs that was secured to the pack's side, then picked the pack up and strapped it to his back. His Carving Knife was in it's sheath on his belt, for easy access. "Alright, lets kill some bitchs.", Marbo said to himself as he walked out of his hut, checked his compass that was tied to his belt, and started south for the Rathalos nest.
Isaac studied the Great Jaggi that was in the clearing from a small gap in between the trees he was hiding behind. It's tounge was hanging from the side of it's mouth, suggesting that it was either tired or thirsty. Isaac took his suppy sac from his back and took out a small telescope and used it to get a better look at the Great Jaggi. Isaac noticed that the other Jaggi were fanning out in the direction opposite of him, in search of something. When Isaac zoomed his telescope in on the Great Jaggi, he could clearly see that it's tounge was dry and crispy looking. "Alright, they're all looking for water. Hopefully if I follow them, they'll take me to the Ludroth."
The large frightened Aptonoth lower it's head a stomped it's front legs on the ground in a display of dominance. When the Lixue stopped Rayen and started toward the Aptonoth, the Aptonoth seemed to relax and slowly and cautiously approach Lixue.
The Aptonoth near Arwen and Trent took no notice to them, feeling no threat from them. They only continued to graze on the lush grass and plants. A few minutes later, a group of Jaggi and Jaggia shot right passed Trent and Arwen, paying no notice to them as their sights were set on the herd of Aptonoth. They quickly weaved their way through the herd of Aptonoth, causing most of the herbivores to call loudly and head toward the center of the clearing. In less than a minute the clearing had went from peaceful to Hell as the larger Aptonoth created a circle with their bodies. The smaller and younger Aptonoth moved to the center of the circle to be protected by the much larger herbivores. The Jaggi and Jaggia circled the large circle of Aptonoth, taunting them and barking, daring the herbivores to come out after them. One very unfortunate Jaggi came too close to the circle and an Aptonoth charged it, swung it's body around in a 180 and smashed it's crested and spiked tail into the Jaggi. The blow sent the poor Jaggi flying and landed limply on the ground as the Aptonoth retreated back to the circle made by it's herd.
The Aptonoth near Lixue and Rayen turned around gave it's deep-throated call at the Jaggi and Jaggia. A few of the raptor-like carnivores strayed from the main pack and sprinted at the Aptonoth. The Aptonoth shook it's tail behind it, warning Rayen and Lixue to back away as the Jaggi stopped before the Aptonoth. The Aptonoth stepped forward and turned his body in a full 360, swinging it's crest and spike-tipped tail at the Jaggi. The Jaggi nimbly hopped backward and the Jaggia, a female Jaggi and larger than the other Jaggi, lunged at the Aptonoth with its claws outstrechted with a roar. The Aptonoth swung its crested head in a low arc, bringing it up and bashing the Jaggia head-on. The Jaggia yelped, but managed to latch onto the Aptonoth's head and bit down on the Aptonoth's crest, causing it to let off a painful howl. The Aptonoth swung its body agiain in a full 360, trying to get the Jaggia off of it and hit any nearby Jaggi. The Jaggia held on, chewing on the Aptonoth and this time when the herbivore spun, a few Jaggi jumped at him. The Jaggi latched onto the Aptonoth, clawing a biting at him as it howled and groaned. It seemed like a losing battle as the other Jaggi and Jaggia that were circling the herd of herbivores caught the scent of the blood and bolted toward the Aptonoth that was already being attacked near Lixue and Rayen.
Heavy footsteps could be heard from behind Lixue and Rayen as a Great Jaggi approached it's pack. It's growl was deep and it openned its jaws when it spotted Rayen and Lixue as well a the Aptonoth that it's pack was already attacking. It roared at Rayen and Lixue, commanding the small group of 4 Jaggi that was walking with it to bolt at Lixue and Rayen.

Trent was willing just watch and let every one fend from themselves but when his sister slipped off into the brush. "God damn you." Trent whispered pulling his long sword and bowgun, already heading off after her.
Arwen came up behind the Great Jaggi her own swords held careful still as not to warn the beast she was moving behind it. Suddenly Arwen lunged at the beast stabbing at it's side with both her fire and ice sword.
Standing off a few feet away, Trent fired off two round on his bowgun. Reloading his gun for a couple more shots to take out the other Jaggia that were moving in.

Lixue immediately yanked her hammer from her belt and ran for one of the attacking Jaggi.
"What are you doing?" Rayen shouted. He reached for Lixue but she was already out of reach, "We've got somewhere to be! Besides! They're not even after us!"
"We can't let them kill him!" Lixue swung her hammer forcefully at the skull of one of the Jaggi and flipping it around her wrist as she turned to find another attacker. "Rayen! Help the monster!"
Rayen sighed and pulled his sword out of it's sheath. "he stopped though, when he heard something obviously larger approaching, "Lixue?" He turned around and pointed the blade at the large beast approaching. "I take it you won't be taming this one."
