It was a horrible mess
The room that is:
The scenario: You're a newer recruited Bogieman on the job, and they've given you this minor case to deal with. Apparently some kid got attacked late yesterday, and has gone missing since. You see his ID card on the table: "Sloth", it reads, with a picture of a rather blank-faced individual. Odd, he didn't seem like the type to get into trouble...
The room: There is only one room here, a large square abode that pretty much holds everything, and you MEAN everything. A leftover banana peel rots on the top sink, the answering machine for the skellyphone kindly blips that it has over fourty-two unanswered messages. You flick the light switch on, it flickers stubbornly before emitting a rather unpleasant yellow light: its a good thing you can see in the dark otherwise.
The stench in the room is overwhelming, the ground littered with old food and crumpled papers. To the left is the window, the glass has been broken, as if the perpetrator OR the victim (Sloth) had escaped in a rush. A thick black substance, you're not too sure what it is, is smeared against the windowsill, spelling out only three letters "HEL" - you don't have to be a mad scientist to figure out what the rest says.
The only other unusual thing about this scenario is a single, long rope, hanging from the ceiling. Odd, it is attached to the ceiling but clearly does not lead anywhere. The lower part of it rests in a loose coil on the ground.
"Grisly scene isn't it?" Remarks your partner. He arrived a little earlier at the scene. "Anyway, I know you had other things to attend to, but I really have to go soon. I have just enough time for you look around and have about 20 requests, rookie. The rest of the crime scene will have to be left untouched."

It looks like Sloth has escaped and is hiding -- or has something worse befallen him? What exactly happened here? Rules: QUESTION PHASE: - Read the above clues. EVERYONE shares a total of 20 requests. Requests are actions you can perform, or questions you can ask your NPC partner regarding the setting of the room in general. - For example: "I would like to turn on the skellyphone answering machine," "I would like to shake the window frame," "I would like to tug the rope," "about what time did the crime occur?" "Why did they give me this case?" - ANYONE can ask a request. Really, it is the first 20 requests asked. Once the 20th request/question is asked, then the crime scene investigation is CLOSED and you cannot ask ANY more requests. Please limit yourself to only ONE LOGICAL request/question at a time, and try not to repeat yourself. Repeats do count towards the total.
CONCLUSION PHASE: - After the 20 requests have been used up and their results posted, it is up to you to write up a 'scenario report' (please write this in short story format) of what exactly you think has happened - Be creative, think outside the box! This is an entry judged mostly on creativity and not accuracy. ANYONE CAN PARTICIPATE, but if you are entering for silver pumpkin seeds ONLY, please add exclaim to the top of your CONCLUSION entry.

Rabid Ice Weasel I would like to tug the rope and utilize my flashlight! You tug on the rope - its affixed with a strong sort of adhesive to the ceiling. Is the ceiling hollow? It sure is groaning a lot under your weight.... The flashlight lights up the ceiling. Oooh fancy! Questions used: 1/20

Kaze Taco I would like to play the skellyphone's answering machine. You click the answering machine. 99% of it is filled with Amityville Academy comments remarking on 'Sloths' failure to submit his student application on time. However, ONE answering machine message catches your attention. "Hi Sloth, this is Gluttony. Did you contact them?"There are no more messages after that. Question used: 2/20

I would like to go over the report, looking for information such as who reported that there was an attack and what they had heard / seen.

Dragain I would like to analyse the thick black substance on the window. You take out a pair of tweasers, and pick up a bit of the substance, putting it into a vial and shaking it. It does not seem to dissolve easily, and has a property similar to ectoplasm. Question 3/20

I would like to see how long the rope is when pulled (not hard) out, like if it reaches a wall or something.
