 Taja walked on her regular path through the dark forest where she resided most of the time. She was no longer afraid of what the forest held within it. Her experiances with the dark and unfriendly soquili had hardened her so that she was no longer afraid of other soquili. However, she had only met a skinwalker once and it wasn't an experiance to take knowledge from. A small sigh of air escaped her lips as she looked off into the distance. In just a few feet should be out of the forest, in just a few feet she would be out into the sun.
When she finally reached the end of the forest she took slow, small steps into the sun. She squinted her eyes as she looked out on the open feild. The grass was at least knee high, there were flowers everywhere and apple tree's decorated the landscape. Taja fully opened her eyes and scanned the horizon. She could not see a single soul in sight. Taja quickly galloped over to an apple tree and laid under it. Her body had felt like it had been burning in the sun. She assumed it was because she had been spending more and more time in the forest. Mainly due to loneliness. Taja's mate had been around less lately and she didn't know many other soquili that didn't have a family to tend to, so she just stuck to her newfound home.

Shoshan happily played around in the grass, near the edge of the forest. He ran around leaping and jumping at several animals and bird, that happen to be hiding in the grass. It was the first time the he had been able to sneak away and he was having an extreme amount of fun. The newly born colt, had snuck away from his older brother, who had fallen asleep. Shoshan was fearless, as he played around, since his brother hadn't talked to him about any dangers yet. He didn't know about Kalona, Skinwalkers, or anything else that might come by to harm him. As far as he knew everything and everyone was friendly.
He was about to pounce on a pretty little purple and blue butterfly when he spotted a strange mare standing near the edge of the forest, a few yards away. The little colt let out a squeal and galloped over to see why she was. He nearly tripped over a falling log that happened to be hidden by the grass. "Eeee whoah!!" he squealed out, then steadied himself and kept running, finally sliding next to her. "Hello, I am Shoshan Blythe but everyone calls me Shoshan, or Shoshancake, or Chocolate Crumb Cake, or Hey get over here. Who are you?" he asked, as he looked up at her.

Taja watched as a young foal that resembled her father came running towards her. She was slightly confused on how one could look just like another, but she assumed it was just a coincidence. "Well hello there young colt." She said as he began to talk. "Nice to meet you Shoshan, I'm Taja." She replied with a smile. He was so adorable! Taja looked around the field as she tried to figure out where the young colts parents were. However, after a few moments she realized that Shoshans parents were not going to pop out. "Where are you're parents?" Taja asked as her gaze returned to the young colt.
