It had been one hell of a long evening chasing Captain Scheelite around the park. Anytime she'd get close, he'd simply teleport away. Lieutenant Paragonite found this nothing short of both frustrating, and humiliating. At this point in their juncture, she wanted nothing more than to take her shoes and drive her heel through his shoulder.
You know, nothing that would permanently hurt him, but he soon would not forget! During the course of the evening, however, she'd managed to wrangle his guitar away. How she had managed that, even she was not certain (part of her wondered if Schee just thought it would be funny). The only thing she could picture after taking it in her hands...
Was smashing the damned thing over the top of his smug faced head.
So there she was, flailing it wildly at the boy, probably calling him anything and everything she could think of. It was rare for the lieutenant to lose her composure.
But he was just so good at getting on her last nerve.

Truth be told, he was getting tired. It was such a rare occasion for Scheelite to actually run out of energy, but at the moment he was running on empty. Teleporting was tiring, and that coupled with running, jumping, taunting, and whatever else all around the park was just plain exhausting.
But he couldn't let Para know that. He was the gerbil on crack! He couldn't tire out first! That was just wrong.
Para grabbing the guitar -was- funny. It was also a way to get a bit of extra weight off his back so he could keep running. Totally a win/win situation for him!
"Oh cmon Para, you don't mean that! You know you loveeee me!" Nah, Paragonite couldn't mean all the names she was hurling at him. He was awesome! She was his number one! He viewed her as his big sister (complete with sleepover attempts at her house!) and there was no way she could hate him. She was just mad she couldn't get her hands on him. Too bad, so sad Para!
Scheelite bounded his way past the swing set for the eightieth time this evening, this time pausing to leap and perch on the top bar. Ha! At least he could get a moment's breather up there.

It was certain that paragonite's body was tiring, but the rush of adrenaline that was continually fueled by his smart a** commentary kept her going. As it turned out, spite was a great way to keep someone going. When you coupled that with the fact that Scheelite, physically, did not appear to be tired in any way, it just enraged her more. She muttered something about loving him with a boot up his a**, but just narrowed her gaze at him.
"Would you. Just. Stay... STILL." she swung the guitar towards him one more time, watching it miss once more, his hair moving a bit from the breeze the motion had caused.
"Damnit Scheelite!" she growled at him. This was not going to end well, for someone. At this point she was hoping it would end with Scheelite having a guitar meet his skull.
She'd settle for just knocking him off his feet though. Least it would be a step in the right direction. Pushing herself forward again, she lunged out with the guitar.

"Newp! Why would I stay still? That'd make this easy on you and then it wouldn't be training now would it? Cmon Para, you're gonna have to try harder...if you can't catch -me-, someone you KNOW...then how you gonna catch a Senshi? HRMMM?"
As she lunged to knock him down off his perch, he simply leaped down and away a few feet. Here, he (very maturely) stuck out his tongue. If there was one thing he was good at, it was being infuriating. But hey, maybe this really could be a training method! Piss off his lieutenants and see how long it took them to catch up.
It'd be fun! ...For him.
"I can't wait til we have more people on the team, I bet I could dodge you all! Slowpokes!"

"You just keep talking, glowworm." she sneered as she caught her balance on the ground after missing him. Again. His comment about the senshi seemed to hit her hard, however, and she brought her head up, glaring at the boy.
"DODGE THIS GLOWWORM!" she suddenly leaped to her feet and made a motion to bring the guitar down towards Scheelite's head. Her shoulder was burning with pain as she was holding it with one hand at this point (she'd have to give him props later when she'd calmed down, that guitar was heavier than it appeared. This was definitely not a stunt she would want to attempt again), but threw her other arm out towards his ribs, her baton suddenly appearing.
That's right, she still had her weapon.
She was getting tired, beyond cranky and pissed, and was just about done playing games. Enough was enough, and hopefully she'd manage to shut his stupid mouth. At least for a few seconds.

"Okay! I'll dodge it Para, but I don't see how that's helping YOU!" And dodge it he did. Scheelite moved to the side to dodge a certain headache if guitar met skull. Besides, how embarrassing would it be to get hit by his OWN weapon? He couldn't be hit by it!
But dodging to the side only herded him directly into Paragonite's back-up plan. He only had time to utter a startled "huh?!" before the baton connected right with his ribs. His weak spot.
The blonde yiped loudly, a few small tears instantly springing to his eyes. Sure, the bones that had once been broken were long since healed. But he hated anyone touching his ribs, and it always had been a sensitive spot for him to be hit in.
Game. Over. Mostly because now he didn't seem quite so happy. Now -he- seemed pissed beyond all reason too. No more giggling and dodging just out of reach. Now? Now he was snarling and glaring right at Para.

Figured. All fun and games until he got hurt. It wasn't her fault he left his side wide open. Clearly he still had a few things to learn himself. Nice to knock some sense into him. Though, she backed up a step, she'd felt the heft in which the baton had cracked him. There'd been no snap though, so he would be fine.
Most of her own rage had been released when she'd hit him. Though as she looked at him, looked like she'd passed it along.
"Geezus Scheelite, you just spent the last several hours hounding me, what the hell did you expect?" she tightened the grip on her baton, and held his guitar further back from him. She wasn't stupid and she wasn't getting closer at this point.

"That hurt." He was still snarling, and seemingly trying to keep himself from leaping at her fists a flying. He still looked pissed as hell though.
"It's not like I spent the last several hours hitting you." Really he had done everything -but-. Taunting, running from, occasionally wrestling over guitars with. But no hitting. Especially not in the ribs. Dear god did he hate his ribs sometimes.
Breathe Scheelite breathe. "Give me back my damn guitar, lieutenant."

"You're damn right it hurt." she growled back, tossing the guitar over to him. "You really expected it not to? I chase you around for the longest time, TRYING TO HIT YOU WITH A GUITAR and you are SURPRISED by this?" she shook her head.
"Don't you ******** be surprised. It's a damn risk you took. As you so bluntly put it, do you think a damned senshi would give a s**t if they hit you in the ribs? No."
"I'm done." her baton disappeared and she turned her back to him.
"If this is going to happen everytime someone else gets the upper hand on you, it's not worth the time. I know it hurt, I know you didn't hit me. That doesn't matter. Other than pissing me off for the last while, I was at least under the impression that you were actually trying to do something useful. Catching you the way I did, should show you that I won't take s**t from a god damned senshi." she felt a pit of guilt in her stomach, but she bit it back. Scheelite was the captain, that was fine. She could live with that. She'd gone along with joining up after some cajoling. What she wasn't going to do was take s**t for doing exactly what it appeared she was supposed to do.

As she talked his anger seemed to dissipate. Little by little he calmed back down (or at least grew increasingly distressed as he words hit home) until that bit about being useful came up. That hit him hard enough to wipe away all the anger and leave behind a rather sad looking captain.
"...I do useful things..." Was he trying to convince her? Or himself? Whichever it was the hurt was evident in his voice.
"You did good." He dismissed his guitar, focusing his gaze on the ground for a moment. "You did, really. You caught me, hit me in a weak spot, and knocked me off guard.
He bit his lip a moment, biting back the urge to just leave. He couldn't. Walking away wasn't going to solve anything. He was a captain now and he had to face the facts that he was responsible for other people AND that sometimes he would be wrong. Like now. "Let's go. Try and do it again?" Scheelite stood there, hands in pockets and trying to wipe the struck look off his face. "Sparring time, that's what will do tonight. If you're up for it."

There it was again, that pit of guilt in her stomach. It seemed to grow as Scheelite's voice calmed. He sounded so... pitiable. She hated feeling guilty, but for all that, she would never have taken back what she said. It had to be said. He had to realize that if he was going to do this, he had to do it right.
Freaking out over being smacked during training wasn't going to help anyone learn, and one of them would end up hospitalized. Truth be told, she was certain it'd be her, and she would rather have avoided that unpleasant situation.
She gave a defeated sigh and turned back to look at Scheelite. No. Demy. This was totally him.
"Not tonight. Another night." she offered. "Maybe we should just go and chill out for the rest of the evening Schee."

"We should be training, or getting starseeds, or something. Chilling out isn't going to get anything done, isn't going to make our team better. It's fine, I can handle it! Really!"
Could he?
"Cmon Para, I'm sorry, really. But we can't just give up now, not if we want to be the best!"

Paragonite walked towards Scheelite, then reached out and pushed on his forehead.
"Tired now." she offered him. "It won't do any good to continue training at this point. You're clearly too emotional, and I'm exhausted. It'd be like a pair of drunk monkeys. And, you know, not in the awesome kung fu style of drunken monkey either." her hand retracted from his forehead.
"I know you're sorry. Don't think of it as giving up, think of it as taking a necessary break so that we can both clear our heads, and pick this up tomorrow night again, with a better understanding of what we want to accomplish. Knowing when to quit is part of what will make you better than others, Schee."

"Fineeeee...." Schee gave a long sigh, through honestly he was relieved. He was exhausted, and if he pushed it too long he'd probably pass out. The only reason he had pushed it was he thought it made him look like a better captain. Train! Do well! Get s**t done!
He still had a lot to learn.
"...Alright. Promise that if we call it a night tonight, we can pick this up again tomorrow? Please?" And about two seconds later. "...Sleepover?" There it was, that goofy grin. At least Schee was back to being himself.

"Yeah yeah, tomorrow night should be fine. Let's just get out of here." she heard the word 'sleepover' come from his mouth and it lingered there. Excuses started to explode in her head, though her favourite was just to pretend that he'd never asked.
Though she knew that would never sit well.
"Yeah, whatever. Just don't keep the music up all night like you did last time, okay. Some of us actually do like to sleep, and some of us have to get up early to actually pay attention in classes." she snipped.
"Okay?"
