well it can't be re released as it has the tag 2k10 with it

i never heard about 2k6 or 2k8 items being re released

pardon me if i'm wrong

it was only for 5 stickers limited period offer for halloween
but now its 50 stickers
with only one sticker a day it'll take 2 full events of storing the stickers to get it
and obviously there might be a christmas item in the treehouse (should be)
so people won't buy ghost skin

this will make the skins rare after a while

i'm taking note of the point of not investing all my gold in it

You can still buy the 2k8 glompie skin from skin tyte as well as the vampire skin and the zurg skin. Those were all Halloween event skins at one point.

What I am saying is, just because it has the tag 2k10 does not mean that it will leave the wing sticker shop, especially any time soon. It pretty much just means that it was made for the 2k10 Halloween event.

The price, however, may go up if people don't want to risk spending their stickers or gold on it, so it is really just a guessing game. The fact that it was only 5 stickers during the event could effect it dramatically since there are so many people on gaia now. I myself have 5 of them that I got with stickers.

I'd classify this one as a risky investment.

Pro:

The price did go up dramatically - it now costs 10x the number of stickers.

Stickers are in limited supply, even if the skin is not. This is how it differs from the skins in Skin Tyte.

It was reasonably popular during the event. One of the ways I determine which event items I'm going to get extras of is to see what people are wearing during the event itself. And I did see quite a number of the skins equipped - as opposed to say, the cravate, which I think I saw on two people total.

Con:

It may very well be available forever in the sticker shop. No one knows for sure if items will rotate in and out or whatever - there's no data on that. If it is around forever then more will be available because people will eventually accumulate enough stickers to get the item if they want it.

It is a ghost skin, which means generally seasonal popularity rather than long-term sustained popularity. This generally means slower price rises since it only really moves upward around the holiday.

So yes, there's potential there, but there are also a number of unknown factors that could pull the rug out from underneath it. So is it a good investment? Depends on the kind of risk you like and the amount you can afford to tie up in it longer term or possibly lose.
