With everything that had gone on lately, today Neria, even if it was very unprofessional of her just needed a little break from everything and to spend that quality time with her beloved mate which, had been lacking with all the new duties and responsibility she had taken upon herself. Her mothers task she was beginning to find had not been an easy job! She gently trotted around the forest to seek out her red eyed prince, searching for those mysterious orbs that lit up the darkness.
How was he doing? Was he enjoying it here? She wanted to know all these things! they were bursting inside her and with Evan's return and Sauda's distance as of late she knew he would help take all those worries away and it just be them two for the day. So she could nuzzle and snug him and... Well, if he would oblige to that affection. She may overwhelm him with how she was feeling today. So full of life and peppy but then again, wasn't she like that everyday?
She fumbled a thoughtful expression, looking around the darkest parts of Eden with a fresh excited smile. Blues curiously peering behind every tree, bush and rock as she stamped her hoof in to the ground and cocked her head. Was he hiding?
"Syyyyylaaaar! Hunny, where are you~?" She chuckled, swishing her tail side to side in delight. Hoping he would reveal his whereabouts to her.

Sylar was letting his mind drift while he patrolled the herd's borders today. He hadn't gotten much sleep the night before because of nightmares, and sleeping in or napping wasn't an option that he would allow himself. It wouldn't be right for one of the guardians to slack on their job. Sylar had too much pride to do that. And... he wouldn't ever give a reason to allow something to harm his family. The stallion wasn't sure how much time had passed since Neria, heavy with foal, had first brought him into their family. It had taken him awhile to settle down and become comfortable with his new life. He had found himself awkward around her parents and siblings at first, but they eventually found a place in his heart. And their children... Sylar regretted not being their as often as he should have for his two children. Maybe then, Evan wouldn't have ran away. But he is back now. And that's not likely to change again. Neria wouldn't let that happen.... What a good mother she had turned out to be. It was so natural for her, while Sylar felt like he was in the way most of the time. He was worried that he might accidentally hurt one of them. Neria had diminished those fears, and taught him how to be less worry-some around the foals. He wasn't going to hurt them just by bumping up against them. Foals weren't as fragile as they looked.
A steady breeze brought a very familiar scent to Sylar's nose. His mate was near. Smiling, Sylar blended into the shadows of the trees. Now what was Neria doing all the way out here when she had Alpha duties to attend to? His question was soon answered when she called out for him. Smirking, the male made his way behind his mate, intent on having abit of fun. Walking out of the shadows, as silent as possible, he reached forwards to give Neria a quick n** on her backside.
(I'd like to think of it as the equivalent as a slap on the behind. xD)

Neria waited, bobbing her head side to side gently trying to find the rhythm in her tail wag to go with the swing, it was oddly soothing. She figured out what to do the next time she was stressed. A smile pressed on her lips, obliviously when the n** came to her, the sensation rushing through her like a lightening bolt causing her to jump. "O-oh!" She meeped, trotting forward slightly as she turned to look at her mate. A blush plastered her white cheeks, chuckling sweetly as she made her way over to him, licking his lips.
"That was, cheeky." She smiled, nuzzling his cheek. She was so happy! Inside she was squeeing like she had the mind capacity of a teenager. The fact he had just come running at her call was a nice thought but the concern was still there. She didn't want him to feel like she was pushing him away because that wasn't the intention and he did know that he could wander with her whenever he wanted, didn't he?
Sylar probably likes the shadows too much...
"It's nice to see you again! It's been a while." She teased but with some truth in it. Eden was never meant to be a place where you got lost but in fact, the sheer size of it, with the plains the small lake at the back and the huge forest that surrounded the home just made it like a puzzle sometimes and seeing everyone, sometimes didn't even happen in one day. Still - she was with him now and just so glad, she decided to take the day off. Even if that was naughty.
"How are you hun? I hope your enjoying yourself here."

"And you, my love" he said with the hint of a smile. Moving forward to nuzzle her neck with his own. His eyes softened at the affectionate tone of her voice. Sylar's shoulders shrugged at her question. The lands were the most beautiful that he had ever set his eyes on. It was peaceful (The majority of the time...), the food was plentiful, and the water always close by when one needed it. Their herdmates were always pleasant to speak with, even if they were just interested in pointing out the lovely weather or catching up on their latest activity. But that wasn't the reason why he would stay. "My place is by your side. No matter where we are, I will be content." He said it maybe a fraction too seriously but he meant every word. He knew how his mate would fluster when he took things a bit too seriously at times.
Openly staring at his beloved, Sylar took a moment to take in the sight, his eyes still glowing the same bright red that they had back when he first met the beautiful mare that would become his strong, confident mate.
Over the course of their relationship, both had physically changed a little with age. Even though he had worried at first, he now knew that Neria's petite body could carry their foals with grace, even if her body did swell to a point that looked unorthodox. She had been stronger than he would have ever imagined and had made motherhood look easy the majority of the time. Her hair had grown a little longer through the years, though she still kept it at a tamable length. He knew that if he reached out at that moment to touch it, it would still be the soft silky texture it was years ago. Her eyes still held the serene gentleness that had caused him to fall in love with her in the first place. With all that they had been through. The pain of Evan leaving them, the struggle of getting their son back, their daughter running off for a fling with a demon breed. Back then, during the hard times, he had worried that the light that shown so brightly in her blue eyes would fade, but all of their troubles just reinforced that light and she came out better for it.

"Oh Sylar." She breathed out a deep sigh, feeling moist creep to her eyes and her throat start to swell at the sentiment. Her blues traced his lips as they twisted in to a hinted smile and she could only stand and stare to savour the words that he just knew would lift her spirits. Cheeks rosy with heat, she moved forward and carefully nuzzled in to his cheek. Careful because she didn't want to accidentally poke him with her uni-horn, something she often worried about when around others.
"I'm glad you feel that way, my dark prince." Her tears of joy were mostly restrained however one had managed to escape when she gifted him a playful wink. A quick swish of her tail slipped to one side behind her. "I would go with you, to wherever you wished to be." She nodded slowly, reinforcing the fact she felt the same. "Even if it wasn't here. I would follow you." She loved her family and knew her place was here within Eden but as her mother did so many moons ago, she would chose him because without the one you love, you're a walking corpse. A shallow existence of the one you once was.
He had that look, that mysterious look to his glowing reds that showed he was deep in thought. She had tried to figure out what was on his mind so many times. She even turned it in to a game, just for the fun of it but he knew how to hide them very well. She just hoped his thoughts were good ones and not dark, deep secrets that would come out one day. Even if they did she would listen. He knew she would.
"How would you like to take a trip out of Eden for the day? We could go grazing in the open plains, or feast on fruit from the orchards perhaps we could even visit the beach!" A soft chuckle escaped her, just talking about it got her excited. "Anything you want to do, we can do. Today is just me and you. We might as well make the most of it." Generally she wasn't sure when they would get this chance again, or if she ever would and so, they needed this to close the distance that had been brewing but it was something Neria had done her best to ignore.
