Inventory is something that has gotten me curious lately. Having been on neo, I am always feeling I need to put away what is not being used... and since I have several items now, and like to keep them out of the way in storage when I am not wearing them... so my queston is:
Do you use either Storage or suitcase?
if no, why?
if yes, do you arrange the items in there?
if yes, how do you arrange it?

when i remember, i put things that i'm not wearing into storage, only items thati want in my house do i put into the suitcase, but my inventory is currently chocka with santa boxes because i haven't got around to tidying it up yet rolleyes

I tend to put 'themed' items together... bot now I am thinking shoes should go with shoes, tops with tops, pants with pants, etc... basically the way the stores sort them

It's just the way you like it. I have mine arranged by outfit. When there is excess, like santa boxes, I put them in the suitcase. That way they are out of the way and not in any danger...

The reason I am thinking of the storage being sorted by type is occasionally I find certain costume items would match other things... there fore, putting shoes together, etc kind of makes sense

I didn't know that we had storage or anything... I knew we could add things to a suitcase, but I never have because I don't have anything in a house (lol, actually can't even remember if I have a house now rolleyes )
I'm gonna have to learn about this storage thing razz I'm so tired of seeing all of the Santa boxes and Halloween boxes everytime I go to my inventory 3nodding

That was me, too... I also do not know about a house. Thought I asked for one once from somewhere that was not working at that moment...
My main reason for utilizing storage is to keep from having to look at absolutely EVERYthing when I go to my inventory... I am thinking in my case, I will be best served putting all shoes, all hats, all shirts, etc in their own types but I don't know... what a hassle either way rolleyes

Storing and organizing is easy. Just click on organize inventory (I think it's called?) and then open the storage area and drag stuff over. You can further organize in what order they show by dragging things before, between, or after other things. I have all my rare event boxes together, all my event items together (picket signs, gaia balloon/hat, grunny stuff), donation letters together, donation items together, unopened santa and jack boxes together (and in order), and the other clothes are either by outfit or by type, depending.
And my suitcase is solely stuff I have in my house, although I suppose I could store stuff there too, I'd rather not.
Oh, and I'm not answering for me, but for my less wicked other.

And my suitcase is solely stuff I have in my house, although I suppose I could store stuff there too, I'd rather not. That is the part that has me undecided... I know about getting them to where I want them, and how to place things here or there... I just cannot decide if, say all pieces of the Morganna costume should go to gether, or dress with dresses, shoes with shoes, and hat with hats, so that "IF" I am looking for an item of a certain type, I will be able to remember all of the ones I have of say, the "hat" category. I am afraid I am not making sense, except, where you said "by outfit or type, depending" may I ask what it depends on? this is what I am looking for opinions on question

if i have an outfit that i want to keep but dont wear a lot i do put it in my storage...my suitcase is for stuff that goes in my house....i tend to put my hats in there along with the furnishings....
now as for my clothes..yes they are in mysotrage..and i do arrange them...i keep themed clothes together...the presents we got from halloween and christmas are there...the boxes are receeded by the item that is in them....i try to keep things organized so that if i want to wear the outfit again i dont have tolook everywhere for the shoes, shirt and pants....i am odd like that...lol

lol, yes!
you are at that moment when you realise that you do know quite abit about Gaia, because someone else knows nothing!
I had that experience with the members of my internet group that i lured over here, it was quite a relief actually cool
