http://i56.tinypic.com/21kmkif.pngNever having a put together family Aaron decided not to stay in one place all alone. Aaron found delight in roaming the lands of Soquili and recently decided that the Plains were boring everything green, grassy, and flat. Being the curious foal he was he had decided to travel, alone, back to the Forest from where he had come. Though he would barely let himself think this, he was going back into the same forest in which his mother left him so that hey could possibly find his way back home. Surprisingly enough, he missed the small area where he had stayed with his parents as a young foal despite always wanting to travel.
He was completely oblivious in the forest just wandering around. He was having the time of his life keeping himself busy by hiding behind bushes staring at trees and the whole time noisily tromping over the branches scattered on the ground. It was much more fun this time around even if he was alone. He sat down on the Forest floor and stared up into the sky where he hoped he could oneday fly again with his father running below him.

The night seemed to go by so slowly for the little filly still shivering in slight fear in the bushes. Even when the sun rose and day came, Kihaku remained in the bush she had settle herself into. She was wondering about her father; why he hadn't come get her by now and if he was still alright.
The thought quickly left her thought as the sound of something rustling nearby caught her attention. She held her breath as if it would help her stay quiet as she waited for whatever it was that was causing the noise to go away. After some time, it went quiet again. Blinking, she cautiously started to peek her nose out from the bushes, slowly followed by the rest of her head. What she saw when she got her head fully out was not what she was expecting in the least. A foal.

Aaron's eyes widened as he heard a sharp intake of breath from behind. It's just a bird. It's just a bird. He told himself. Aaron went from sitting to lying down and he lowered his head drowsily onto his front hooves. He had just closed his eyes when he heard rustling behind him. There was no way a bird had made that noise. Aaron raised his head suddenly alert. He quickly stood and turned around. His worst fear was not recognized, but there was another soquili in the woods that night. It was a brown foal sticking its head out of the bush where Aaron had first heard the mysterious noises. Aaron tilted his head to one side curious. "Hello there."

She seemed to startle the foal just as much as the other startled her. She tucked back into the bush for a brief moment, before stepping out again. Kihaku bowed her head to the foal, "Hello..." She replied softly. The other foal, a colt by the looks of it, didn't look like he had any mal-intentions, but she was still a bit nervous.

OH! a unicorn. The young foal was, sure enough, a unicorn, or at least part as it didn't have a uni's tail. A filly to be sure, it was obvious because of her young and soft voice.
Aaron grinned gleefully. He slowly approached the otherr foal. "I'm Aaron," he said puffing up his chest jokingly. He gave a boyish laugh as he released his breath. "Who are you?"
Aaron backed up and attempted to walk a full circle around the other foal. "Do you want to play hide-and-seek?"

Kihaku finally stepped fully out of the bushes, tail flicking off any leaves that gathered in it when she climbed into it. She eyed the other foal a little cautiously, but smiled at the colt softly. He seemed to be part wind, obviously from the wings, but the antlers were throwing her off for what the other part could be. Can soquili breed with deers? She thought temporarily.
She watched as the colt came closer to her and introduced himself, puffing his chest out. She had to tilt her head some at that for a moment, but bowed her head in greeting. "Hello Aaron, I am Kihaku... it is nice to meet you." She replied softly, in all honesty, quite relieved to meet someone else in this forest.
She blinked when he seemed to back away. Was he leaving? She sure hoped not. When he started to circle around her, she turned in place with him. "Hide and seek? Now?"

Aaron felt that there was nothing odd about puffing his chest out but she tilted her head curiously at him. "Nice to meet you too Kihaku" He smiled widely. She seemed a bit quiet but he didn't mind, it was always fun to meet someone new. I wonder what she's doing here.
She turned as he circled around her. "Ya I was thinkning now" he smiled playfully "I haven't had a partner to play with for awhile now. I have no where to go, no one to see, no one I'm with, I'm a free foal I guess you could." Pfft free I don't mind roaming but it's much more fun when you're not alone. Aaron scoffed silently to himself but remained cheery and fully attentive to the other foal. "I mean if you have to go that's fine and all, I can walk you there if you'd like." I hope she doesn't have to leave. Aaron liked to travel, and he did even as a foal, but he missed another's company.

Kihaku continued to watch the colt curiously. He didn't seem to be afraid of being in the forest by himself, perhaps she shouldn't be as well? She mused to herself. But, hide-n-seek? Was now really the time? Well, better now then never. The filly also figured that this game would brighten her otherwise dreary mood. When he mentioned having to go, she had to wonder if she should be in a rush to find her way home. With a sigh, she looked to him and shook her head. "No, I don't really have anywhere to be right now... I can play now if that's what you really want." She answered him, her tail flicking lightly and giving him a small smile.

Aaron grinned gleefully. "Ya! ok ok... I'll hide and you count ok?" Aaron was vibrating with excitement and started to look around for a good hiding while he waited for the Kihaku's reply. His short cerynei tailed was wiggling back and forth as it did when he was nervous or ecited.

The more the colt got excited, the calmer she got. Smiling softly, her own tail flicked lightly as she prepped herself for the game ahead. Her front hooves shifted slightly as she looked around some, slightly cautiously, hoping the colt didn't get lost while she was looking for him. "Okay. How long do you want me to count for?" She asked, making sure he didn't have different rules to the game than her and her half-brother, Mikhail, might have.

The energy spurts came from nowhere but always made him bouncy. "Um. Uh. 20. Count 'til 20" as soon as he replied he raced off to hide. The clip clop of his hooves muffled by the soft earth. Aaron took in his surroundings looking for the best hiding spot yet.

Just as she was going to give him an affirmative reply, the colt had already took off. This had caused her to blink for a moment. It took her a moment to process that she should be counting now, but when she did, she lowered her head to her legs and began to count. "1...2...3..." She stood there counting, tail flicking lightly in rhythm to her counting. After a few minutes, she called out, "20! Ready or not, here I come!" Then, she trotted off in the direction the colt took off in.

As the other foal was counting he was carefully looking around for a good hiding spot. She had reached ten and he was still searching, frantically now. Then Aaron, literally, stumbled upon a hole. In fact, his hoof slid down into it as he was looking around a bush. The bush conviently was in front of the hole. It seemed to be an unoccupied rabbits hole, but it was rather large. In either case Aaron wiggled back into the hole behind the bush and waited for Kihaku to start searching

She kept trotting forward, looking around for any sign of the colt that had bolted off a few moments ago. She still had the worry that he might get lost as well. In a way, that wouldn't be that bad, at least she would have a travel companion. In the end though, the filly hoped that it didn't happen. She stopped for a moment and looked around. Still no sign of him. Lowering her head to the ground, she took a few sniffs to possibly catch his scent that she could track.

Aaron could hear barely a rustle, she must not be too close yet. Aaron breathed in and started to feel a tickle in the back of his throat. Oh no. he thought. Dont sneeze dont sneeze. It must have been some sort of dust or dirt perhaps that he sniffed in because he really felt as if he was going to sneeze. The tickle passed. Thank goodness. That could have lost me the game! Aaron spoke too soon, or thought too soon rather. The little colt sneezed. Uh-oh.
