I've discovered another great way to up your post count besides hanging out here and in the chatterbox, which gets UBER annoying.
Hang out in the petitions! http://www.gaiaonline.com/forum/viewforum.php?f=138
There are hundreds of great ideas out there and all they want is you to sign the petitions. The count on FenNurse doubled over the weekend with a great number of those posts going right there.

anywhere has to beat Chatterbox, i really don't like it there confused Cupcake had a wander through the petitions thread at the weekend, not that she needs to up her post count, she's way over 2000 now, one of her favourites is bumping pollable quests in the quests/charities threads, people invariably bump her quest back so everyone benefits 3nodding

I'll have to check that out, since I'm dressed in somebody's hand-me-downs! (not that I don't appreciate it, but I'm thinking a different hue would better suit me) Thanks for the tip! Do the petitions DO anything, or are they just another opportunity to make gold?

Do the petitions DO anything, or are they just another opportunity to make gold? Polling and bumping (as well as posting) are always a fun way to up your gold... as for what happens with the petitions, I suppose that (like neo boards) remains to be seen rofl

WickedOrange I'll have to check that out, since I'm dressed in somebody's hand-me-downs! Actually those dresses appear as sort of the 'starter clothes' but heart Purkle heart often has some good stuff to help you get started *cues Purkle* rofl

There is an admin post in that subforum explaining their position regarding polls.

Seems that it's worth actually reading the petitions, then. In that case, it will be something for me to do later, when I know the site better. Thanks!

Orange, i'll send you an invite to my guild, there's a polling sub-forum there so you can earn some extra spending money. Here's something to bear in mind though, when you're very new and your post count is low you only get 10 gold for your first few polls, and if you don't post in the thread afterwards(just a smiley will do) it goes down to 1 gold. So keep an eye on your cash and when you stop getting 10 stop polling and come back the next day. Actually someone may be able to help me out here, does anyone know how long you have to be logged off before your gold earning refreshes itself and you get your 28 and 14 gold posts again?

WickedPlum The Admins will take the polls into consideration, and do look through them (so they say), but make no promises. There is an admin post in that subforum explaining their position regarding polls. Have they stated their position on the hair-turning-into-wigs idea? I really like that idea, so once you pay for hair, you could keep it and switch around as you switch outfits.
