Julian Thanatos:
Julian shuffled across the school grounds after the band's auditions. He thought they had done pretty well, up until he'd tripped and fallen. Morton had caught him, but he felt he might have been less embarrassed if he'd just been allowed to fall off the stage. He really didn't like getting in front of people and doing something like speaking or juggling, much less singing, but while closing his eyes helped him actually do it, it obviously wasn't the safest thing to be doing.

What he needed was a good bit of time up on the roof in the fresh air and away from most of the other students. He had taken his bag to the auditions, so he had his eyePod and some books with him now, so he walked towards the main school building, intending to fly up once he got a little closer. Headphones that wrapped around the back of his head played music intended for DnH and WoL RPGs as he walked.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki still held her drum sticks in her hand in a semi death grip. Truth was she was terrified that she'd just done the audition. Their group didn't do so well but that was no surprise to Tahki. None of them really knew what they were doing. Tahki was just randomly hitting notes and taking her frustration out on the drums rather then trying to keep a consistant beat. It had a grungy feel to it but to her it was not music.

The ghoul had a sandwich for a snack and planned to take advantage of the break they had up on the roof. No one ever went up there anyway. It was a good place to sit and eat and unwind from the tramatic that was band auditions.

Some one caught the gryphons eye though. Some one she knew very well.

"HEY!" She waved to the owl demon, "Julian you did great!" Tahki made her way toward the owl demon.

Julian Thanatos:
Julian stopped walking with a jerk when he heard someone yell over his music. Not recognizing the voice or what was said because of the volume he had it turned to, he turned around with a cautious look on his face before relaxing into a smile when he saw it was Tahki. He'd watched her audition from the wings of the stage. It... was... different. She hadn't been terrible and neither had their guitarist, but he did not like their lead singer. After a few moments of it, the demon had put his headphones on to drown out the sound.

"Oh, hi Tahki!" he called back as she walked up to him. Letting his music continue to play, he slipped his headphones around his neck while she approached.

"What did you say? I couldn't hear you," he asked when she was closer, gesturing vaguely to his headphones.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki beamed as he greeted her.

"I said that you did great Julian," The ghouls smile did not fade. She her self usually blasted her own music and many times as a result would miss what others were trying to say to her. It was a good way to get out of a conversation.

"I'm headed to the roof to eat my sandwich while we have a small break. Care to join me?" She tilted her head at the owl demon.

Julian Thanatos:
"Oh! You did well, too. But I don't really know much about drumming," Julian replied with a nod. His wings fluffed up a bit in pride at her compliment. He didn't think that he did terribly well, but if she thought so, then maybe he had done better than he had thought. His eyebrows rose when she mentioned that she was going up to the roof and if he wanted to join her. He actually laughed a little bit.

"I was actually heading up there myself. I... needed to c-calm down after the aud-dtions," he replied, his stutter returning a bit at the mention of having to relax after the audition. It reminded him of being nervous and falling and the judges' comments and the judges just being there.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki twirled a drum stick in her hand.

"That would make two of us. I don't know what the heck I'm doing honestly... " She smiled. Drumming was fun even if she had no idea what the heck she was doing. Taking rage out on something was fun. Though doing it infront of people wasn't all that great. Thats what she got her self into though.

"Really?" Her ears perked up, "Wow, thats kind of amazing were both.. were both.. " She looked down shyly feeling a tad awkward. "Both going to the same place," Her eyes lifted a little before darting back down to her toes. This was embarrassing for some odd reason that the gryphon couldn't put her claw on.

"Race you there?" She lifted her head up again with an awkward smile planted on her face.

Julian Thanatos:
Julian smiled nervously at their awkward tones, feeling a bit better that they were both feeling a little awkward about both thinking their habit of going to the roof was... He thought that it was just one more thing that they had in common. It was so interesting, really. From everything that his brothers had said about ghouls was that they were really different and sometimes hard to deal with. Julian didn't find Tahki anything close to that. She was just like him except a ghoul and that they had slightly different taste in books and he sang and she played the drums. And she wasn't hard to deal with beyond his trouble with ghouls in general.

A race? His eyebrows shot up momentarily before adjusting his backpack on one shoulder. His wings were too big to wear the bag on his back without some work and he didn't want to spend the effort right then.
"Um, sure" he replied and waited a second before he took off at a short run to get the momentum he needed before launching himself into the air. His wings beat without a sound as he climbed higher, heading towards the school's roof. While he was quiet, he wasn't as fast as some of his family, on the ground or in the sky. He preferred having the quiet on his side, really.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki took off after him, launching her self after. She wasn't the quietest of flyers but she was smooth. The gryphon climbed after the owl demon in hot persuit of the roof.

Then the wind knocked her drum sticks out of her claws. For jacks sake! Tahki switched directions toward the ground in perfect dive motion to retrieve her drum sticks. She needed them for the competion. Tahki couldn't very well play the drums with a baseball bat like she had with the garbage cans now could she? No of course not that would be silly.

Tahki hadn't caculated the landing very well and ended up crashing face first into a bush. Only her legs could be seen kicking wildly. She was tangled in a maze of branches but at least she had her drum sticks. Still...

"Owww!" She cried.

Julian Thanatos:
Julian glanced back a few times to see if she was gaining on him and at first she was. But the next time he looked, she was flying back towards the ground. He didn't know why until he saw she was chasing her falling drumsticks. He paused in the air, thinking it would be fair to keep going with the race now. He would just wait there for her to catch up and they could just continue flying to the roo-

"Tahki!" he called when she crashed into a bush and with a bend of his wings he was streaking down to her. His dive was clunky and slower than it could have been, but the important part was that he could pull out of it and did some feet from the push, landing at a run towards her.

"Are you okay?" he asked hurriedly, concern evident in his voice.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki kicked her feet but that didn't seem to help wiggle her free from her branched cage. She was stuck good. WHY did she dive after those drum sticks? Tahki regretted diving under those drum sticks completely at that point in time.

"Mrrphh.." She mumbled. A branch of leaves had found its way placed inside the gryphon ghouls mouth. The branch made it all that more difficult to talk.

Julian Thanatos:
Julian stared at her kicking feet and listened to her muffled response with a concerned frown. It seemed she couldn't get out on her own, so he did the only thing he could think of to help her.
He dropped his backpack and took off his shirt.

A blush was already settling on his face as he wrapped the cloth around his hands. He didn't have anything else to keep his claws from hurting her. He flapped a bit into the air so that he was hovering over her feet.
"J-Just call out if I s-scratch you, ok-kay?" he mumbled when he grabbed her ankles with his hands, making sure his shirt was between his claws and her feet. That done, he carefully tried pulling her slowly back upwards, trying to match the direction she had gone into the bush at.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki felt something wrap around her ankles. Felt like hands wrapped in cloth. Tahki didn't make a sound she just closed her eyes tight and covered her face with her hands so that the branches wouldn't scratch her face or worse, pluck out an ey ball.

The branches slowly released her as her body was pulled upwards. There were a few snapping sounds and a few branches that slapped her back as she started up but nothing serious. No branches got to her face thanks to her forarms protecting it.

Julian Thanatos:
Julian let out a sigh of relief that he managed to get her out of the bush. He moved them so that instead of hanging down towards the bush, Tahki was looking at the bare ground. He had to wonder what kind of sight they made, him flying just a bit in the air, holding his gryphon friend by her ankles.
He tried not to think too much on it.

"Um... O-okay, I'm going to s-set you down," he stuttered as he flapped quietly in the air to keep them aloft. As slowly as he could, he lowered them until Tahki's hands could touch the ground. As soon as they did, he would drop to his feet and set hers down on the ground.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki was free from the bush but had a lot of tangled tree branches and leaves in her hair and feathers. It would take alot of grooming to get every little goodie out of her hair and feathers. But that was worry for later.

Her clothing mostly survived the fall and the save. There were little tears here and there though. She'd have to wear one of her other outfits for a while. Again another worry for another time.

Julian gave her fair warning that he was going to let her go. Tahki let her hands meet the ground and let Julian land. She was free and it was all thanks to her Owl Demon friend. Joy washed over her and before she knew it the gryphon was hugging on Julian.

Julian Thanatos:
Once he had let go of her feet, Julian straightened up and was just unwrapping his hands from his shirt when Tahki hugged him. His face turned bright red and his eyes grew to the size of saucers.

"Um- I, uh," he sputtered, his hands twitching a bit at his sides for a moment. It took him a second, but he eventually managed to bring one arm up to wrap around her and pat her shoulder as if he were testing a surface to see if it was hot or not.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki just smiled and continued to hug him. She hadn't realized yet she was hugging a boil. Nope, right now the pure joy of being freed and thanking her savior was in order.

And then it hit her.

Tahki jumped back her face flushed red and her hands over her mouth.

"I..." She shook her head. Julian probably didn't like it when others were in his space right?

"Julian.. I don't know what came over me... I didn't mean to.. I mean... I m sorry if I made you uncomfitable..." She looked down at her feet.

Julian Thanatos:
As soon as she stopped hugging him, he quickly pulled his shirt back on. His wings made normal shirts difficult, so it took him a minute to slip his wings back through the holes in the back, but he did his best to get it back on faster than usual.

"N-no, it's ok-kay, I just..." he mumbled as he was fixing his wings. He gave her a shy smile, his blush still lingering on his face. Finally getting everything back to normal, he ran a hand nervously through his hair, looking at the ground and even shuffling his feet a bit.

"I d-didn't expect it and... I'm j-just not used to gh-ghouls," he finally explained with a bit of a sigh.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki saw he was nervous too and couldn't help but smile some. It made her feel a little better.

"Im not so used to Boils yet my self," She wasn't used to kids her own age to tell the truth but that was another story for another time. She stood there unsure of what to say for a bit, which felt like years to Tahki, before she spoke again.

"I think I need to make a stop at the schools nurse.."

Julian Thanatos:
Julian managed a smile when she admitted that she wasn't used to boils. It kinda made him feel that they were on the same playing field, that they were even more alike than it first seemed. He guessed they could just get used to the opposite gender by getting used to one another.

He frowned when she said she might need to visit the nurse.
"Did you hurt something? I d-didn't hurt your feet, did I?" he asked, looking down at them first. He didn't think he scratched her, at least he hoped he hadn't. He'd feel really bad if he did.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki shook her head.

"N-no it wasn't you. The bush scrapped against my skin some when I fell... I just want to get something to clean them so I don't get an infection," She gave him a smile. "Theres.. Nothing serious. I promise."

She wanted to make sure she didn't get an infection. A dirty cut gone bad could be a bad thing.

Julian Thanatos:
"Oh," Julian replied, looking part relieved that it wasn't his doing and yet still concerned for her.

"I can walk you to the nurse's office?" he asked, tilting his head a bit. He bent down to pick his backpack up and throw it back over his shoulder again. He looked from her to the school building, then back to his friend. He probably didn't need to walk her over there, but then she might want someone to walk there with her. It was a little ways to the office, she might want someone to talk to.

Tahki Yuki:
Tahki gave him a smile and nodded.

"I'd like that," Company on the way to the nurses seemed ideal. Tahki hadn't gotten hurt so bad that she needed some one to go with her but it was nice to walk and maybe talk with some one. Julian was great company too.

"Well... we can always continue this race on foot?" She gave him a grin and darted off toward the school building.

Julian Thanatos:
Julian smiled shyly again and his blush returned a bit when she said she would like that he would walk with her. He was just about to start walking when Tahki added that they could continue their race on foot. He turned to blink at her, eyebrows raised slightly.

"Is that really a good id-" he started, but she was already off and running. His small smile grew into one of amusement as he took off after, his gait caught somewhere between a run and a glide, his wings spread just enough to lift him a bit off the ground. His feet were never meant for running, in either of his forms, so he had to improvise.
