Ends: Friday, December 3rd at 11:59pm PSTOh dear, it seems someone has been mixing genres again! Hello everyone, and welcome to our Harvest Concept Contest! We've been working hard behind the scenes to make things fresh for all of our veteran players, but think a part of that is bringing in some new meat players! However, never fear veterans! There are still a few options for you too! First please, pay attention to our General Rules and Regulations: Please be sure to follow the rules of the shop, and of our event thread as well as any direction given to you by a staff member.
Please do not post anything other than submission forms in this thread. Chatter is all well and good, but stop by the main thread for it!
Any character that does not fit within the Gaia ToS will be immediately deleted and the entrant disqualified. If your want your character to be a "lady of the night," you miiiiight want to take that concept elsewhere. Now that you've got through that, time for Event Rules and Regulations: Please fill out all forms completely! If there is a spot you cannot fill in, fill it with NA. We are going to rely rather heavily on several sections of the form to pick our winners, so this is important!
If you're wondering where the forms for entry are, they're all in the fifth post of this thread!
Anyone found to be a poor sport or trying to discourage others from entering will have their entries pulled and be disqualified from this event. No exceptions.
You can make up to TWO entries for semi-customs and TWO entries for the premades -- this means FOUR ENTRIES TOTAL across the board -- but you can only win one character!
Posted too soon? Don't worry! You may edit your post until the contest closes on Friday night.
If you are waiting for art for your powered character because it hasn't been done yet, you do have a powered character and thusly are not a newbie.

In the Name of ???, I'll Fill In Your Blanks!First off, we have these lovely senshi provided by InkHound and LadyNozomi! As it stands, it seems that these are only really able to be given life by newbies only. We're classifying newbies as people who do not own any POWERED characters, so if you own a nonpowered civilian or two these are still fair game for you! The first one needs a name AND a power sphere, while the second one just needs a name! Please remember to mark how many powered characters you own in the designated part of the form -- and if you're trying for one of these senshi, this means zero. You should also note at the top of your form which of these characters you are entering for.

Semi-Custom Contest!If premades aren't your cup of tea, or if you have a quest you've been itching at a chance to get your hands on, then there's still space at the table for you! This is the portion of the contest where anything goes -- whether it be for a glittering Sailor Senshi battling evil, a foreboding Negaverse officer fighting in the name of the Earth, or even just a regular everyday normal guy caught in the wrong place at the wrong time. So if you've always wanted that Senshi of Rubber Bands, your Lieutenant with a toilet plunger or just a clueless florist who's been thinking of moving to a better town, there's no better place and time to try but here and now! This contest is for SEMI-CUSTOMS. This means that you can specify eyes / face / hair as per the physical appearance section of the form, but as soon as you get dressed or power up, you're left to the whims of the artist! Feel free to include some basic theme, style and color suggestions, however. Link to pictures, play us a song, or even describe what your concept is based off of! At this time, we will not be accepting forms that are for Chibi Senshi, chibi-aged characters or Guardian Cats, however. I am sorry, but in the future we will try our hardest to have these available for you. There are no restrictions on who can submit an entry for a semi-custom. While we are prioritizing newbies and people with fewer characters, that doesn't mean an entry by a veteran character has no chance of catching the eye of one of our artists or RP staff!

And of course, no event like this is complete without bringing at least a few new civilians into Destiny City! For this sale in particular, we're introducing a couple of new schools for your character attend: one's a new boarding school for misbehaving or mis-parented girls, while the other is for gifted and/or spoiled boys. ST. MAGDALENA'S SEMINARY:Like every city, there are a few schools that have a religious bent, but none are so dedicated to the enrichment of troubled young women as St Magdalena’s Seminary. A secondary school located on the fringes of downtown, it’s adjoined to one of the oldest Catholic cathedrals in the city. The entire campus is ringed with rather sharp-looking wrought-iron fences that forebodingly protect its hallowed Gothic-styled buildings. The school is touted as a reform school for girls with behavioral problems, though it’s rumored that there are a few girls in there that have actual criminal records. For the most part, though, Magdalena’s is considered the place to head those sorts of problems off before they begin! Its academic standards are about on-par with Meadowview’s, with a primary focus on general education and a secondary on helping individual students work out any psychological issues they may have. This often translates into a “therapy through work” philosophy, and indeed a chunk of each day is given over to domestic chores. It can go from easy things -- such as making sure the cathedral is set for the next mass or helping to clean a classroom or two -- to punishments such as doing dishes or even being tasked to serve meals to classmates. They haven’t really got the grounds or room for any real sports teams, though one of the few they do have is a championship volleyball team. Their chamber choir has been butting heads with Meadowview’s chorus for quite some time now, taking their share of championships. AZURE VALLEY ACADEMY: Located on the northwestern outskirts of Destiny City is Azure Valley Academy for Boys, a more modern and recent boarding school that boasts swanky minimalist architecture, state-of-the-art technology and a lovely view of the Appalachian Mountains on clearer days. Regarded by many as a preparatory tech school for young aspiring scholars, scientists and engineers, this school’s curriculum is more often than not unexpectedly difficult and stressful for anyone who enters. However, forcing all those noses to the grindstone seems to produce the expected results: Azure Valley students are practically undefeated at the City Science Fair, and they can even hold their own in robotics competitions against university students! Unless you’re looking for eccentric beats and catchy electronica, the musicians of Azure Valley are generally outperformed by those of other schools -- the focus on staying ahead with technology means that the band and orchestra classes are sort of lacking, and this also means their sports teams are similarly mediocre. Their track team has been decent in the past years, however, and their performance in golf will ensure that many of them will end up having loyal, dependable business partners. Azure Valley students (or “Valleyboys,” as they’re often called) sometimes possess an air of superiority very much like their Crystal Academy counterparts, even going so far as to turn up their noses at students from Meadowview. Something that we really love about Destiny City is the fact that the adults are totally awesome! Unfortunately, we haven't got as many as we've wanted, so all of us sat down to think about it. What could we do? What incentive would there be to be a totally amazing adult in DC? Natsube had an answer: And that answer is... design some awesome characters and give them away in a concept contest! These predrawn civilians are fully-grown adults. What does that mean? This means that they're too old to attend Sovereign Heights and might be in their last year of college -- or who knows, they might be older than that! Not going to tell you exactly what we're looking for, because we're sure not sure! If you're trying for one of these character in particular, please specify this at the TOP OF YOUR FORM so we know that's what you're doing with your entry. We'd also love to see your adult concepts as well, independent of these particular folk. After all, these kids need role models! Or you know, someone to lie for them and help them get into trouble. Our local handsome bachelors would also love a chance at a hot date without being branded as *****.

These are the forms that you must fill out for every character. There will be a form for powered characters and a form for civilian characters please remember that you must fill out every portion of the form as it applies to you! Obviously we do not expect Negaverse characters to fill out the Senshi attack, so please use your better judgement in what parts of the form you need and do not need. Reminder -- These are all semi-customs. You can control the sphere, attacks/weapon, and personality of the character, but the art interpretation of them is entirely up to the artist. Yes, we allow you to post inspiration images, but they're just that! If you cannot potentially be happy with anything our awesome artists gives you, do not enter. Whining will not be tolerated. :: BASE CIVILIAN FORM ::Everyone should use this, no matter what you are going for! Getting just a civ? Stop here! Going for a powered character? [i]Reading[/i] - Matt McMat loves to read joke books in order to come off as a funny guy. He doesn't like to read mystery, romance, or horror books because of the serious tone they take, and thinks they're most useful for making paper airplanes out of. In fact, this is why Matt McMat can't visit the Destiny City Library unattended.
[b]Virtues:[/b] These are positive aspects about your character's personality that affects them on a daily basis. Specifically, these are non-physical traits (such as 'generous', 'kind' and 'outgoing') that other people will look up to your character for having. These are used not only for role-play, but to also help the artist decide on expression and personality. Two traits minimum, four maximum.
[i]e.g. [/i]
[i]Outgoing[/i] -- Matt McMatt is an outgoing guy. He's always the life of the party, and tends to love organising parties for no reason but having parties. He's an effervescent party animal. When it comes to answering a question, Matt McMatt is usually the first to offer an answer even if it isn't correct of what someone is looking for.
[b]Flaws:[/b] Second verse, same as the first. Things that are not flaws: 'stubborn', 'hates seeing people hurt their friends', phobias, mental illnesses, diseases, being 'too nice' (unless they are SO NICE that it is an ACTUAL FLAW), etc. Like the virtues, these are non-physical traits about your character that affects them daily, however these are attributes about your character that give other people reason to look DOWN on your character. We'd like two of each, try to keep to four maximum. This helps the artist decide expression, personality.
e.g.
[i]Selfish[/i] -- Matt McMatt can be really self-centered. He thinks about himself long before any of his friends, and whether or not things impact on him. If he finds something boring or not worth his time, he rarely goes through with it to help out a pal. He can be a bit of a fair-weather friend, because he first and foremost thinks about himself.
[b]PHYSICAL DESCRIPTION[/b]
[b]Eyes:[/b] Colour, shape. No heterochromia (different-coloured eyes), please!
[b]Hair:[/b] Colour, style, accessories. We'd rather you pick style words rather than give us an exact style to copy.
[b]Face:[/b] Shape, features -- tell us if your character has a round or oval or heart-shaped face, freckles or not, big ears or not.
[b]Clothes:[/b] Only if you're applying for an adult. The artist reserves the right to not draw complicated outfits, and this will generally be your work clothes. You will be getting a simply drawn outfit/uniform. Don't bother listing accessories et al -- the artists will have creative choice. :: SENSHI ADDENDUM ::[b]Senshi Alias:[/b] The name you are called by! Usually based off celestial objects such as minor planets, moons, stars, and nebulae. Please page through the guild to see what may or may not be taken!
[b]Senshi Element:[/b] What are you senshi of? Pretty basic!
[b]Challenge:[/b] Goes on the cert. Default is "In the Name of [Celestial Object the Senshi's Power comes from], I'll punish You!"
ie, for Sailor Moon her default challenge is, "In the Name of the Moon, I'll punish you!"
[b]Attacks:[/b] These are your senshi's abilities, which will be used in battle. These abilities correspond to your senshi's element. Think of it as a "summary" of what your senshi can do in one word.
[b]Sailor Scout Attack:[/b] Name.
This is your most basic attack. For example, Sailor Jupiter shot lightning bolts at her enemy from a lightning rod that hid in her tiara.
[b]Super Sailor Scout Attack:[/b] Name.
This attack is an UPGRADE of your first attack. Your first attack is more powerful, and can have a cosmetic change. Ie, Sailor Jupiter's lightning attack takes on the form of an eastern dragon when shot at her enemy.
[b]Eternal Sailor Attack:[/b] Name.
This is your senshi's most powerful attack. It is different than your senshi's Sailor and Super attack. For instance, Sailor Jupiter's eternal "Sparkling Wide Pressure/Juputer Thunderclap Zap" enabled her to form a disc/frisbee of lightning that she could throw at her enemy.
[b]Inspiration Images:[/b] Have any images that you want our artist to consider when making your character? Post them here! :: NEGAVERSE ADDENDUM ::[b]Negaverse Alias:[/b] Lieutenant (Mineral Name). It MUST be a mineral. Not a gem, not a random rock, a mineral.
[b]Challenge:[/b] Goes on the cert. Default is "The Darkness will Prevail!"
[b]Lieutenant Weapon:[/b] This is what you will be using to fight with for the duration of your first rank. Please remember that these are generally gag weapons. Usually some sort of toy version of a real weapon (Obsidian's wooden sword), or another everyday item that could be used to fight with (Glaucophane's traffic cone).
[b]Captain Weapon:[/b] Enchant your Lt weapon with a minor magical property, or get a weapon that can actually do physical damage.
[b]General Weapon:[/b] Enchant your Lt weapon with even more magic, or add minor magic to your physical damage weapon.
