In the desert; within no particular pride is an outcropping of rocks where random rogues tend to stay for a night or two; there lay a smaller black rogue female lion. Sleeping in the shade and hiding from the heat. She'd been here for more then a few days after finding her current mate. A small smile on her face as her chest rose and fell from her nap. She'd asked him to be her mate and they'd celebrated the union often since then. Not something she would talk about of course; since she was a proper lion and all. The whole of the fact making her blush madly under her black fur. But that fact brought another thought to her mind.. the thought of cubs.

Faina smiled at that; she would kill for cubs. And even in her dreams they had cubs with one another. Currently she was having one of those dreams; where she runs around happily with her mate Ary; chasing after their children. Pouncing on one another before rolling over onto their backs and letting their cubs pounce them and pull at their ears. Laughing all the while.

Faina lifted her ears at that idea; lifting her head sleepily; her eyes blinking open as she looked around the dark cave. Today would be the day; they would have a talk about cubs. And figure out what they wanted to do and where they wanted their lives to lead.

Ary was out hunting in the desert scrub while Faina rested since the sun was much harsher on her then on him. Her dark fur was something Ary adored about her, like everything else about her, but he knew the sun in this heat would be on her so he said he would go out hunting while she relaxed.

Ary got a goofy smile on his face when he imagined Faina stretched out in the shade of the rocks. She really was everything Ary could imagine and he couldn't wait to get back to her. His belly rumbled reminding him of his current quest for food. If he was hungry Faina was too. While he loved there current area, mostly because Faina was with him, Ary knew they could not truly thrive here since there was little water and less food.

It only took him a few more moments for him to catch two hare's unaware. Soon he was standing outside of the rock cave that he had claimed as his own."Honey I'm home." He put down his prizes and stepped up to Faina with a large grin on his face. He gave her a quick nuzzle before nodding at the hares, "Dinner."

Faina got to her feet when she saw Ary break through the sun and appear in their homes opening. she padded over to him; tail swaying back and forth happily and her ears lowered a little in a submissive happy way. She was content with their life together; and she couldn't think of anyone else she would rather spend the rest of her life with. She nuzzled against him; snuggling close to his body. He was comforting and protective and just so sweet. She looked at the hares and licked at her lips in a hungry manner. Those looked good; very good actually. She stuck close to him though; deciding to let him pick which one he wanted first. "Ary..." she whispered lightly looking up at him with a small smile. "Do you want to move?" She asked shyly. "Somewhere more... cub friendly?"

Ary nuzzled against her, food temporarily forgotten but when he saw her lick her lips he knew that food was more important. He pushed both hares at her, "Which ever you want, or both for that mater darling." Ary watched her, he really couldn't believe he found her and they were mated, he really was one lucky lion. "Hum?" He pulled his mind back to the present and her question, "Move? Well it would be easier to find food in a greener place. Cub friendly?" His mind finally picked up that phrase, "Faina are you trying to tell me something?" He was excited and worried at the same time. If she really was expecting cubs then maybe it was best to stay put until they were born since he would not put her or the unborn cubs at risk.

Faina moved in to start eating the hare; settling before the smaller one becuase she didn't want to take the bigger one from him since he was the one that had gotten it for them in the first place. She smiled and started to laugh before she really began to eat at his comment; lifting her gaze up to him. "No Ary! Nothing like thaaaat~" She told him; emphasizing the a on the that. the word rising and falling as she said it. She shook her head and rolled her eyes at him. "Eventually... But not yet." She added on; not wanting him to think that maybe she didn't ever want them at all. "Just... Maybe we should think about moving some where? You know? Becuase... well... I want to have lots and lots of cubs with you. And this place isn't really cub friendly." She pawed at her hare bringing it a little closer to herself and thinking about just tearing a piece off of it as she did so. "Only if you want to start a family with me...."

Ary smiled although he was a bit sad that she wasn't pregnant, at least she wasn't yet. He nuzzled her and said, "That would be just fine with me Faina because I want to have lots and lots of cubs with you too. Besides its too hot here for you to go hunting with me and I just hate leaving you behind. And of course I want your cubs, I want to see little girls running around looking just like you." He gave her a quick lick and when she brought her hare closer to herself he quickly switched it out for the larger hare, the one she left for her. "I'm not that hungry and I don't want the larger hare to go to waste." He smiled knowing that his lie was quite blatant since his belly chose that moment to rumble but there was no way he was going to take the larger portion unless Faina made him.

Faina batted at his head and pushed the larger hare back to him taking the smaller one back and biting into it, staring into his eyes as if to say 'try and take it'. She took a small chunk and chewed it before swallowing and scooted in a little closer to him. "I hate you leaving me behind too... I just want to spend every moment with you. Maybe if we found a nice cool jungle to live in? One with plenty of shade and cool air? Or maybe if we joined a pride?" She asked curiously. She'd never given any thought to a pride to be honest. What did she need one for if she had her lover? But if she wanted cubs... Then would it be smarter to join a pride with others to help take care of them all? "I'm glad you want the cubs to look like me. Becuase if they looked like you they would most likely get picked on." She teased him.

Ary bowed his head to Faina's unspoken wishes. He smiled and gave her a quick nuzzle, "A jungle, forest, even a pride would be fine as long as I'm with you darling." Ary had never been part of a pride before and wasn't sure how to go about joining one. "Though I do agree with a pride in general. A pride has to be in a area with plenty of food and the more to look after young cubs the safer they would be." Ary stared off into space for a moment thinking. "But I can't say as I know of a pride that I think would work for us, then again I don't know many though." He smiled and took a quick bite of his hare. "How about you decide Love." When she made a comment about his looks Ary just made a face at her, smiling the whole time. "And yet you love me despite my looks."

"What can I say darling; looks are not important to me I suppose." Faina teased him snuggling in a little closer to him and wrapping her tail around his own as well and nuzzling into him as she did so; as if to apologize for picking on him like that. She took a small bite of her own hare and chewed it slowly; thinking over the whole idea of joining a pride. Surely it would be smart to join a pride? But then what if their children didn't want to stay in the pride... Though of course that would most likely happen if they were rogues as well. She frowned. She wanted them to have a large and very close family. "Maybe we should wait and see? And look around while we still can?"

Ary smiled and laughed lightly, nuzzling Faina. "Thats fine with me after all once we join a pride we should probably stay there. We can look at as many as you want." He didn't really know if there were rules against leaving prides or even how to join one. This was one thing he really didn't know about since he never grew up in a pride, although to be honest the thought of extra protection for his cubs would be enough to send him to a pride. Ary wondered if there was a pride where he could help with the cubs and hunting and anything else needed. "You know we could always start a pride of our own." He smiled in a suggestive manor although the idea had its own merit after all if they created their own pride they could make it to be exactly what they were looking for.

Faina looked up at him with slightly wide eyes when he suggested them make a pride of their own. "Do you mean that Ary?"

"Well you know how there are many in the rouge lands with no pride, like you and me?" Ary was winging it but he really was thinking about it even though the idea was quite far fetched. "Well if we can get those that would be happy to have a pride, a family truthfully, then we have created a pride. I know that when I was younger my life might have turned out differently if I had found a pride, or one had found me." He looked at Faina, "Not that I would change meeting you for the world." He gave her a quick nuzzle.

Faina listened to him talk of prides and the idea didn't sound too bad to her to be honest. She thought of it; and nodded her head. They could make that work! Surely they could! She nodded her head and then pushed at him teasingly when he gave her the nuzzle. "You and I were meant to meet my love. It wouldn't matter whether you were in a pride or not. I would have found you and you would have still been the love of my life." She told him sweetly. Licking his ear and cheek. "what if there are others like you? That were alone for their child hoods... maybe... maybe we could find them? And give them a home?"

"I can belive that my Shining Star. The fates brought us together." He gave her a lick back. "Would you be willing to care for cubs not your own? To give others like I was a chance at being good adults would be a challenge of a lifetime but it would only be worth it if you were by my side darling." Minute by minute Ary was liking this idea more and more, a pride made up of the lost and alone, made into one large family each supporting and encouraging the others.

Faina chuckled lightly and stretched out her body. "I would love the idea of having so many young ones to look after!" She pushed at his face gently with her paw; playing with his cheek as she did so. "But don't expect that to get you out of giving me lots and lots of our own Cubs."

Ary smiled at Faina. "That thought never even crossed my mind." To have cubs with Faina was something Ary was truly looking forward too and if they really could adopt other lost cubs into their small family all the better as far as Ary could tell.
