School was still daunting, and it didn't look like Christmas being right around the corner helped even a tiny bit. Exams were nearing, and despite the fact Angela wasn't actually all that bad when it came to studying, she often time found herself distracted by 'shinnies'. It didn't really matter when she locked herself up to study; she always ended up spending more time than she'd have liked to because she got easily distracted by random things that happened, or even randomly mundane items that caught her attention.
She'd thus, stopped trying to fight it. If she was going to get distracted, no matter what, she rather be distracted by something that wasn't... a fly that passed by. Mostly because telling people that no, she wasn't as prepared as she would have liked to be for this exam due to a fly catching her attention while she studied was more than slightly pathetic; it sounded horrible even within her own mind.
Being distracted by Nate trying to play the piano (with various degrees of success) seemed like a much better excuse to Angela. She'd actually managed to accomplish around half of what she'd wanted to tackle that day (which was not half bad) before her head had started to turn towards Nathan and the piano. After around 5 minutes of glancing over, and then trying to resume reading the page of her text book, which she'd already had to reread around 10 times, without managing to retain any info whatsoever, the girl simply gave up. The fact Tony was not around was also not helping the situation.
She closed the book with a sigh and got off the sofa, leaving her papers scattered across the small table, deciding she'd either try to re-tackle the studying, or pick up the books... later. For now, she had to get up and sate her curiosity - or at least get her mind off of literature, "What're you doing, exactly?" she'd decided to peek her head over his shoulder, the fact he was sitting down allowing her to do so.

Nate was glad Angela had come over, even if she was still steeped in school and had to focus on her studying. He, of course, had dropped out of school a while ago, and had no interest in going back. Because of that, he also could offer her no help, as he was not a study buddy and had no idea what she was learning, nor did he have any study tactics to offer her.
So he did his best to not be distracting to her, the only person he would ever offer such a service to. Usually he went out of his way to distract and annoy people, after all.
Today he was trying to play the piano. Recently he had been practicing more, if it could be called practicing. He didn't like the name, since it made it seem like he was doing something he had to do, rather than something he wanted to do. No, he was just playing the piano a lot more, because he wanted to. Not practicing to get better.
That was easier for him to deal with.
He looked up when Angela came over, smiling dumbly and then nodding at the keys. "I'm trying to... well. I want to see if I can make a song. Not like, write it, because I don't really know the notes, but yeah. I want to make a song, but I have to do it by ear. Is it making it hard to study?" He turned his head, looking at her as she glanced over his shoulder.
