The Verdant Gardens and Greenhouses Fourth Division, Sereitei Open Roleplay
The Verdant Gardens and Greenhouses is a section in the Fourth Division founded by Kei Aoi. It is located several yards from the Coordinated Relief Facility so it is not difficult to locate. It was once a known figure in the Fourth Division since Kei found it. However, it was left untended when Kei assumed the captain position; the Shinigami tasked to tend to the garden forgot to assumer their work and left the garden withering. Now, Kei is determined to bring back its former glory by slowly restoring the plant-life of the gardens. It is composed of the following parts: Herbal, Flower, Vegetable and Dangerous Plants sections.
Anyone is allowed to go here though proper manners must be observed when one is here. Fighting is not tolerated though Zanpakutou can be brought for the owner's own safety seeing that some plants here tend to... attack visitors. Anyways, enjoy and socialize people!

Kei Aoi Captain, Fourth Division Sereitei, Soul Society
Kei, who was kneeling by a certain plant, slowly stood up and then looked at the warm sun. He smiled and then turned to the plant he was tending to earlier. "It's your turn, Falhannah..." He softly said, smiling at the slightly dried leaves of the said plant.
His wakizashi by his waist moved for a moment and then flung itself to the ground. It was unsheathed by the time it struck the ground and its blade delved half-deep on the soft earth. "I do not get it, Aoi-sama." Falhannah said softly, her voice ringing from the wakizashi, albeit only for Kei's ears. "This portion of land was once a beauty but it is now a huge land of wastes and decays; there is no hope to restore this place." She added, sighing gently as she released her Shikai state in a single moment. At once, the wakizashi became a longer and rectangular-seeming sword with a charm attached to its end. There was a small release of reiatsu and then the ground around the sword became damp with water.
Falhannah was telling the truth. The so-called "Verdant Gardens", which Kei labeled to himself, was in fact a total waste at the moment. There were in fact no flowerbeds and greenhouses. Once, Kei tended to the place and the place was wondrous. But due to some activity, the captain failed to look after the place; the Shinigami that tended to the place was unreliable, too. And because of that, the Shinigami mentioned was transferred to other squads; they were never to return to the Fourth Division. So, Kei, in the hope of restoring the place as it was before, tended to the place that morning.
"Well, Falhannah. Do you know this great place in Earth? The one called Rome?" Kei Aoi asked. Falhannah sighed but he knew she knew. "Someone said that Rome was not built in a day." He said and then smiled as soon as the ground was wet enough. "That's enough, Falhannah. Anyways, we need to be constant then, won't we?" He said, laughing to himself.
"But Aoi-sama... this is just too much work. The gardens are a total wasteland." She complained.
Kei Aoi knelt down again and then tended to the plants around the area while Falhannah watered the dusty and dead ground. "Oh, stop complaining and just do this thing. Complaining won't do much, you know." He said to which his Zanpakuto replied with a chuckle.

Kei Aoi Captain, Fourth Division Sereitei, Soul Society
Kei Aoi stood up and then sighed. He looked around and then realized the vastness of the gardens. He sighed again wearily as he felt the rather tiring activity starting to well up inside him. He guessed that he was too much spending time sitting and reading rather than being out.
"Feeling tired already, Aoi-sama?" The Zanpakuto asked him, mockingly. Actually, Falhannah seemed to enjoy what she was doing now for she had been watering plants all those times that passed. Kei Aoi laughed at her. "But I'm having so much fun! I never thought that gardening could be so much fun!" She added, sprinkling some water in the air from the tip of her sword.
Kei shook his head and then picked up the sheath. "I thought I was going to be done at once but the gardens are too much work." He said and then pointed the sheath towards his Shikai. At once, the sword flung into the air and then went right into the sheath, returning at once to being a wakizashi. "I thought I was going to be done at once and get that herb I needed. But I guess Tomoya could handle that."
"But Aoi-sama! That herb is in the Dangerous Plants section, right?!" Falhannah gasped. "That boy will be dead in one second! He's not going in that horrible place!"
Kei Aoi laughed and then began to head towards the Coordinated Relief Facility. "Tomoya's all big now, Falhannah. He's becoming someone stronger; he should, since he wanted to become strong for his sister, Karin. Let us go, some coffee, I guess." He added and then walked out of the gardens. [Exit] (( The task Kei Aoi was talking about was from Tomoya's vice-captain training, which took place in the Squad Three Common Room.))

Tomoya Vice-Captain Challenge Fourth Division Post [1/1] Tomoya stood still as a statue as if he were standing in front of the gates of hell. In a way the doors to the Dangerous Plant Section were indeed the gates of hell. Many members of Squad Four had been injured or killed behind these unholiest of doors. While the rest of the Greenhouse was barren only this section thrived no one knew why, but they all could agree that it was not natural. The more Tomoya stood before the doors the more scared he got , to the point his knees almost gave out. Even though he was frightened out of his mind he couldn't back out now. Kei Tachou had given him this task, and no matter what he would not fail his captain. Take a deep breath to settle the nerves Tomoya grabbed hold of the handles. With a grip of Iron ,and the thunder beat of his heart Tomoya pulled open the doors. That was about as far as he got before a fleshy tentacle grabbed hold of his legs pulling him into the dark depths behind the door. Tomoya was now on his own with no help from Kei or anyone else. This was going to be the first true test of his life to succeed was to live, but if he failed he was dead.
The Greenhouse laid in silence, and it was a silence of three parts. The most obvious part was a hollow, echoing quiet, made by things that were lacking. Off to the side stood two soul reapers eyes filled with shock ,and not a word coming from them. Though this they has added a small, sullen silence to the larger, hollow one. The third silence was not an easy thing to notice. If you listened for an hour, you might begin to feel it in the firm barren ground , and in the stillness of the wind. A silence of a man lost, of a joy never to be found again. This silence was of death , and being so it was the greater of the three pulling the other two into its cold grip.In one moment something broke through all three silences. A new sound penetrated the Greenhouse. It was the sound of a man who wanted to live.
Indeed Tomoya wanted more then anything to live if he were to die every thing he had worked up to would have all been for nothing. However despite this desire to live another part of him just wanted to die.If he died he could reunite with Karin, he wouldn't have to struggle anymore in this twisted world all he had to do was give in. "AAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHH!" in that instant of weakness something wild and feral broke lose from within. With savage fury Tomoya kicked, screamed, and clawed for dear life not ready to give in not ready to die. In spite of his tremendous efforts the tentacle would not let go. This wasn't going to stop Tomoya though he was too intent on living to let something like this be his downfall. "LET ME GO!!" With one last heave and an explosion of Reiatsu Tomoya finally tore the tentacle from him.
He wanted nothing more to rest right now, but he knew he couldn't to rest was to die. To survive this hell he had to keep moving till he reached the end. Getting up from where he had been dragged Tomoya drew his wakizashi holding it out in front of him ready for the tentacles to return. They never did maybe they had decided he was too dangerous to risk it, or maybe they were just waiting for the right moment. Either way it was one less danger that Tomoya had to worry about, though he still had hundred of other dangers to content with. Taking a look at his surrounding he noticed a sign covered in weeds with the number six on it. That meant he was in the sixth row. He needed to get to the tenth row which was where the herb was, it was also rumored to be home of the most dangerous of plants.
Slowly moving down the row Tomoya stayed on his toes ready to react to anything that would come his way. Luckily nothing did and he was able to scoot through row six and seven without much trouble. As he entered the Eighth row the tentacle returned and it had brought along friends. The air was filled with the sound of steel cutting through leafy flesh as Tomoya cut tentacle after tentacle all the while moving backwards.Tomoya needed to keep his distance from the tentacles if he didn't they would overwhelm ,and kill him. He continued to back up as he cut down the tentacles, that was until he bumped into something slimy, and squishy.
This caught him unawares and in seconds the tentacles had him in their grasps, and he was face to face with the biggest and slimiest Venus Fly trap he had ever laid eyes upon. It just so happened this plant was the same plant he had bumped into. Even with most of its tentacles holding down Tomoya he put up a fight, but every time he moved they gripped harder and harder just like a boa constrictor. He had one more trick up his sleeve , however if he couldn't breath it wouldn't do him any good. He tried to speak tried to call out, but he couldn't get enough air in his lungs to say anything. The more time passed the lower his chances dropped, seconds went by with no change expect that Tomoya was getting weaker.
"No No No No , I won't die, I won't die, for the sake of Karin I WILL LIVE."
"BLOOM,KARAFURU HANA."Tomoya may appear to be weak and fragile on the outside , but on the inside despite it being full of turmoil is emotions were strong and true. It was from such strength that Tomoya was constantly surprising not only Kei, but himself as well. As he spoke the name of his zanpakuto a warm spring breeze swept through the Greenhouse as Tomoya unleashed his shikai. The spring breezed worked in Tomoya's favor as it relaxed the Venus Fly Trap giving Tomoya more room to breath. "Hana o okotta." Tomoya said softly as a large burst of red energy shot forth from Karafuru Hana channeling all of Tomoya savage fury into the blow.
The Venus Fly Trap had no chance against the attack as it was instantly disintegrated along with its tentacles. Tomoya faired better though still was sent flying backwards by the force of the blast. When he came back to it after a very rough landing he found he was laying right by the herb he was after. He also noticed he was surrounded by a wide variety of killer plants who all wanted him for dinner. This presented Tomoya with quite the opportunity as he was very surprised by the fact he had found the herb by mere chance. "Hana shokkingu!." Tomoya cried out as he grabbed the herb in one hand while he held out Karafuru Hana out in front of him with the other.
Charging right into the thick of the plants Tomoya released a cloud of lightning around him that burnt any plant that got near him. This technique though wasn't going to stay this powerful for long the less surprised he got the weaker it would get. Though through luck and fate Tomoya managed to escape from the Dangerous Plant Section. Once he did escape he collapsed right out front of the closed doors. In no time at all after he had collapsed members of Squad Four were surrounding him fixing up his rooms, and talking about how amazing he was to have survived a visit into the Dangerous Plant Section. Even as they patched him up Tomoya had already gained consciousness as they started talking about how amazing he was. Such a thing brought joy to his heart it seems he wasn't as useless as he though he was. And even when they carried him to his room he merely let them think he was out so he listen to their praise.
