It was a task to fly, and yet again. Aiolos was aimlessly flying and though he had met some interesting situations. It wouldn't prepare him for what he would find enstore in the near future. He flew in and prop himself on an almost broken down Savannah leafless tree. Watching out the lands.. he needed rest from his long journey. Looking around.. he knew from his flight he was not too far from a stream or watering hole only because he could smell it. A watering hole didn't have a lot of fish.. and he wasn't one to eat animal meat or scraps. Fish is what he ate and he would just have to wait to find a stream.
Stretching out his wings and giving them a have tapping and quick fluttering to get any muscle aches a good shaking. Relaxing a bit as it rested behind him. Settling himself.. only to find when he closed his eyes just moments ago- to open them to see... well. The most particular site.
He tilted his head. Then slitted them as he tried to blend in but of course.. he couldn't with such little cover. Observing is what he did best when he wasn't fishing. Speaking very little and even when he was at 'home'.. it was like he didn't fit in so he left the land very different than this one. He tried to find an adventure and maybe then he might return home, or. Never return. But he had to 'seek' out something.. something he didn't know. But had to seek for himself. Maybe... it was 'purpose'.
The day was wasting away in to the evening.. and the purple and orange splash of color cascaded in to the air, something he didn't really take time to appreciated.

The cumbersome bird soared the sky, her fiery eyes scanning the earth. She'd found a fresh meal just an hour before and the stench of death made its' home within her dark blue feathers. Unfortunately she was driven away from her trophy by more powerful scavengers, and Aotpo was forced to revisit the skies in search of a different carcass. It had been a typical day for this vulture. Or so it seemed.
The stream wasn't far away. That's where Aotpo decided her next destination would be...
A prickle of eyes alerted Aotpo that she was not alone. She met the eyes with her own naturally stern gaze. There appeared to be a bird of prey resting in the branches of a bare tree.
An eagle? Only one way to be certain. The vulture slowed her pace, letting gravity pull her closer to the earth, gliding on colorful wings. The closer look confirmed her suspicion. Yep, an eagle. But the laws of physics wouldn't let her take off into the air without embarrassing herself with a loud crash. She was forced to perch - but she chose a thicker branch than the one Aiolos was occupying.
Her weight caused the old tree to tremble, but once it hushed, Aotpo gave the eagle her signature grim stare. Unsure of what to say to the majestic bird, she let the silence pursue. Maybe if she was lucky, he'd be the first to break the painful silence.

When his orangy eyes saw the bird swooping in, of course his eyes would catch it but it didn't mean that he liked the way she was flying. Oh no- the bird was going straight towards him and if she was trying to get him out of the tree.. well. She could have succeeded, if he wasn't 'trying' to be invisible. When she perched and made the whole tree move he waved his wings and almost fell before getting back straight and with one misstep- the bird fell backwards as his arched feet still held on.
Flowed down and looked at the girl upside down.
"Heh. Ello' thar."
Accented. Thickly too add. He chirped at her.
"You okay d'ea?" Really thinking she was going to crash but she perched instead and he tried to smile and seem.. kind.
As he let himself fall and gracefully twirled himself around to land on the branch below that was very slightly brittle. She seemed smarted and landed on a tougher branch but he didn't want to scare her off. He hadn't seen any company of other prey birds except for the cold shoulders of being an eagle in vulture territory and this was the perfect time to make amends?

"Hello." The vulture replied with the crackled harsh tone of her abused voice. She watched the eagle twirl and dance across the branches like a common songbird. As if her abrupt arrival didn't make him slip and stumble... Hah.
Aotpo made it painfully obvious that she didn't really want to be there. Yet still she continued on with the small talk, hoping soon she could seize her chance to go back on her way to the stream.
"Okay? Why wouldn't I be?" The vulture offered a smug grin, a bit of an awkward one considering her mood. "Where are you from, eagle? I haven't seen you around here before."

"Aiolos." He said with a bluntness. His name he sang with an accent just as deep as his words. "I came from a ways ways long from heya. Very fah'. Far'tha than the lands from the east and west." He smiled and crept a little closer. Eyeing the female, oh was she a looker alright but that strong side of hers intimidated him so much that he had to take her in as what she was. A vulture. Not the scary ones that tried to eat you. But another bird family that was slightly larger than his kind.
"Yea just seemed to me- like yea stumbled thar~" drew just slightly closer but knew the boundaries that is being TOO close. "So- You hungry?" He said almost a little to eager. He was made to fish~ and fishing was his thing. "I can fish up a storm- yea."

"Aotpo." The vulture responded with equal bluntness, her fierce gaze never straying from his. She admired the foreign drawl on his words, but it wouldn't show in her face... Not yet, at least. Only the most worthy were permitted a peek at her true emotions.
"Far... is that so?" Aotpo didn't even twitch when the eagle moved closer, but she wouldn't relax, either. She was intrigued, and expressed a rare genuine curiosity in her tone. "What brings you out here, then?" Her light blue beak only barely parted as she spoke, but it released the scent of death nevertheless.
When the eagle offered her a meal of fish, Aotpo found herself strung with an odd combination of flattery and offense. "I don't eat fish." She said bluntly, dismissing the subject because she was much more interested in the other bird's origin.
