(( Sakura is in Hot Pink and Shaolan will be in Green ;; I don't remember if he's called Li or Shaolan in the series anymore... But my instincts knowing Chinese tell me his name is ShaoLan and last name is Li... xD ))
Sakura was wrapped around her precious baskets. Kids again! She was so excited! I mean, what mother wouldn't be excited. Then again, Sakura was so used to be excited. The baskets were wiggling and Saukra called to Shaolan. "Shaolan! I think the babies are going to come out of their baskets soon!"
Shaolan came to Sakura and nuzzled her. He was excited himself! He used his muzzle to nudge one of the wiggling baskets. "You seem to be wiggling the most... I wonder if you'll be a son...!
Sakura looked back at him slightly annoyed. "We already have Xan and Xuan... They don't need to be boys, do they?"
"Of course not! It's just that they're more fun for me to teach and play with!"
Suddenly a basket top came off, and a young foal came wandering out; it was on its legs but shaking, barely able to stand.
Sakura nuzzled her new child and tried to keep it on its feet. "Shao! Isn't it a cutie already! It's already on its feet!" Her tone of voice was beyond happy. It was only the first one to come out, but she knew the others were soon to follow. She squeed a little bit as she nuzzled the remaining baskets.
On the other hand, Shaolan had taken a few steps back. The foal... It looked... Different, yet similar. "A-are you sure you got the right baskets?" His eyes were wide and empty as he stared at the foal.
"Of course... Is something the matter...?" ---------------------------------------------------------------------------- In the end, Shaolan was a little taken back by the Halloween surprises, but they were still his children. Sakura would love them no matter what.
They lived... Happily ever after... (( *SHOT* )) As long as all of them were not evil, that is.... (( ;"D <3 ))

There was an air around the basket that was unsettling yet Sakura was determined it was nothing, that is was just the parenting side of them that was growing cautious however, many times had her mate reassured her that perhaps she was getting a head of herself and with the comforting words he had spoken she had pushed them aside and took a deep breath in, collecting the thoughts. It wasn't until the lid began to rattle that their faces of concern became happy and full of joy, just waiting patiently for it to pop and see the bearings of their love once more, just like they had previously with their growing family.
There was a long eerie pause, the rattling stopped and in place kept them eager, curious and full of suspense. At the moment the parents had exchanged a glance, ready to investigate the lid flew upwards and span, landing just before their feet. It caused them both in unison to step backwards, jumping almost out of their skin.
A little cry of a young one soon followed, Sakura's eyes widening as she prepared for the worst, then out of their troubles, had been a waste as the basket rolled onto it's side and out tumbled a new foal, blinking up at them in surprise.
Hearts melted and smiles compressed, waiting as the foal struggled to get to them, as it held itself and pushed to try stand on the nimbly legs. A chuckle came from Sakura's mouth and Shaolan raised an eyebrow. There was something off about the child, but it didn't show or seem to be any harm, even with the... Questionable traits visibly different. The father shrugged it off and headed forwards with his mate to greet the young one, as they nuzzled and licked the foals cheek lovingly.
It wasn't aware of the differences it possessed and only knew, that these were the ones who were to love and give it all the attention it needed. In time that may change, but in the minds of it's parents, their wasn't a thing that would change their beautiful love for their new borns.

((Sorry for the name being spelled as Syaoran, I'm just to used to reading it that way xD; If it bothers you I will happily fix it though! ))
This wasn't the first time Syaoran and Sakura had little foals of their own, but this was the first time the two had gotten ones to have strange little side affects on them. In this world, the soquilli had to keep their children safe in little baskets, and weren't aloud to see what they looked like until they were ready. It was almost as if they were incubating in little eggs like chickens!
Sakura smiled down happily at the little baskets and pawed one lightly with her paw. The mare was happy to have children with her hubby, Syaroan... A soft blush came to her face and she giggled to herself. The steed smiled down at her and looked over the baskets, then blushed himself. Even after having four children of their own, it was still amazing to see the baskets. But there seemed to be something different about them...
Both Sakura and Syaroan could feel that there was a bit ... deviousness added into them. the month they arrived was October.. of course! There was something always mischievous and devious about that time of year, but could it actually cause a strange effect on their little babies? The little baskets wriggled, and they both stared. Nervous, yet excited....
The time finally came, and the baskets slowly began popping open.. Sakura's eyes widen at the site of her children and she gaped. Syaoran's eyes narrowed, but softened in wonder as the stumbled about. There definitely was an effect on the poor foals, but it almost gave them the effect that they have been on the long forgotten travels to capture clow cards. Sakura and Syaoran both felt the same way, they have been blessed with unique children. They always have been, and now wasn't any different. Just, more surprising!
Sakura happily bounced over to her children and began preening them, while Syaoran kept a protective glance over them, and then smiled and walked over to sit with his ate and younglings. Whatever challenges will come by, will remind them of their past, remind them of their love and then create a thrilling life even now.
Perhaps when they get older Syaoran and Sakura will pretend and play with their children, and speaking of the countless adventures they had... describing the fates that chose them to look so crazy and cool.

"Shaolan! Shaolan, come quick! The baskets are shaking!" Sakura called, excitedly as she hovered over her three babies. She had been tag teaming with her beloved, watching over the baskets, waiting anxiously for them to pop. She couldn't wait to see what darling little babies were waiting inside those wicker containers. Shaolan, never far from his family, came rushing at the sound of his mate's voice. Despite having gone through this twice already, he was still as nervous as if it was the first time. He suspected he always would feel like a new parent when confronted with children. But it was hard not to, knowing that a fresh life was entering into the world. A life that he had helped create... It was a wonder. His thoughts cut off abruptly when the baskets wiggled. It was almost time..."Um... Shaolan?" "Y...yeah?""Should... um... should they have... um... horns?""Er....""And... uh.... f....fangs? And... and....d....does that one l...look l....l.....l....like a g....g....ghost?" "She... um... kind of does....""Hoe.......""A....are you sure they're my baskets?" He realized what he said and quickly scrambled to get his hoof out of his mouth, "OUR baskets...are you sure they're OUR baskets. Not that I think you would... that is... I know that you would never... I mean...""We never let them out of our sight," she reminded her beloved, ignoring his unintentional implication. "They're definitely ours...." He stared at the monstrous little creatures that were shakily testing their legs. Well, monstrous wasn't the right word. They were cute but.... there were definite... dark... hints... It almost reminded him of... "We... probably shouldn't have gone to that carnival when you were pregnant." Sakura's eyes widened in shock as she made the same connection as her mate. "Hoe.... y...yeah.... but..." She hesitated as the ghosty looking little girl stumbled toward her. Sakura had always been terrified of ghosts. But... this was her daughter. She took a deep breath and nuzzled the little cutie. And just like that, her maternal instincts took over. "They're ours.""They are..." Shaolan agreed, more because his mate had decided so than because he was fully convinced. Ah well... she was happy, that was the important thing. And he would... protect his family. Yeah. He watched as one of the little ones gnawed on a useless basket. He... was going to need some serious help. Edit: Linking in my Teepee for soq list X-D Teepee

Username: Kara Asumie SoQ owned: 0 Entry[[Sakura will be Deep Pink and Shaolan will be Dark Green Gir this makes me want to watch the second movie.]] It was the beginning of another wonderful chapter in Sakura and Shaolan's life with the new baskets and all. Though they have their other kids and love them all the same. This set comes with a shocking surprise. "Shaolan come quick. The baskets are moving." She called out to him. Her muzzle nuzzles her sweet new baskets as she lays at their side. Walking in Shaolan looks at Sakura. "So they are." He watches them as he nuzzles Sakura looking down at the moving baskets "I wonder what they will be?" Not knowing just what they are in for at the moment. Just enjoying the fact that they get to raises little ones again. "Shaolan-kun it doesn't matter what they are. The only thing that matters is that they belong to us." It is shocking how Shaolan and Sakura have come together and don't blush each time they touch. She looks onwards as she noticed Shaolan looking about like he senses something wrong. She then gets that feeling as well. "Nothing is wrong with our babies is there?" "I am not sure." He looks around as the uneasy feeling soon fades as the first basket pops open. Only to make Shaolan and Sakura both jump back like they are ready to attack. Only to set their eyes on their baby but something is off about this one. They both look at each other and then at the baby foal. "Hmm this is something I wasn't planning on.""Aww shocking and cute in a way." Sakura nuzzles her new foal. "The other baskets should pop soon as well. I wonder if they are shockingly cute." Sakura giggles with a snuggle. "These foals aren't going to be more trouble are they?" He wonders a bit. -The End-

Kids... Kids! Shaolan was more than delighted at the fact that he and Sakura had not one, not two, but three new baskets adding their numbers to their family. It was a wonderful thing, having children. Already they had two daughters and two sons, and the couple hadn't been expecting anymore, but.. Well, here they were!
Speaking of said baskets, Shaolan Li turned his attention to them, brown eyes looking over the clustered trio protectively as he rested on the ground.
"They aren't out yet, are they, Shaolan?" Sakura asked enthusiastically as she emerged from the trees and bushes near the father and baskets, her voice muffled by a large sprig of leaves and raspberries held between her teeth. She had gone off on her own for just a short moment to go and fetch something for her and her mate to snack on, the thought of their foals popping out while she was gone pushing her to hurry as quickly as she could. Trotting over to the stallion side, she dropped the sprig near him before smiling. "I was hoping they wouldn't pop just yet!"
Keroberos followed behind the mare, making his way over to one of the baskets and plopping himself over it for a nap.
Shaolan Li smiled warmly at his mate as she returned, letting out a chuckle at her enthusiasm. "No, not yet, dear." He then whipped his head to look over at the feline, giving a stern glare. "Get off, Kero'."
The foal inside of the basket let out a short whinny, bumping against the sides and lid of it's confines. It wanted out. Now! Thrashing even more violently now, the wicker sides of the basket soon had holes punched through them by the little one's hooves. Freedom!.. Sort of. One of the foal's legs were still stuck. Stumbling about a little on it's wobbly new legs, trying to get itself out of the basket completely, the foal landed on it's side with a thump on the ground. But hey, the basket was off! It gave a flick of it's little tail happily.
"Hey! Hey, wait a min- Hey!" Nearly flung off by the sudden thrashing of the foal inside the basket, he scrambled to get off of it. "Hmph." Keroberos eyed the emerging foals from his new spot on the ground, giving a flick of his tail and a huff.
Spotting the feline's white tufted tail, the newly emerged foal pushed itself up wobbily, mind set on getting over to the mountain lion.
What.. what was the little one doing? Coming over to him? "What?" Kero' said out loud to the approaching foal, still flicking his tail absentmindedly.
It let out a curious snort at the sound of the cat's voice. That was new. Neat! Reaching out, it gave a well aimed chomp at Kero's tail with it's little... fanged teeth?
"Oh my.." Both Sakura and Shaolan were startled at the sight of the little one's fangs. Even Sakura was unable to deny that something was odd about their little one, as naive as she was! "...S-sakura?.." They looked to each other before splitting, each parent going to check on the other two foals for anything as unusual as those teeth. The pair would love the foals, of course they would. It was just a little.. surprising, seeing their new children with such strange twists to them.
"Ow! OW! Sakuraaaa!"
"M-maybe that carnival had something to do with this?" Shaolan Li suggested as he looked over the foal he had gone over to, giving the smaller Soquili a light nuzzle. "Or... or even Halloween! We did have them this October." He ignored Kero' cries and whining, inspecting the current foal with him.
"That could be it. Some sort of magic or.. or something!" Sakura replied with a nod of her head, leaning down to smile at the foal she had gone over to. "Hi there, baby. I'm your mother, and that guy over there? He's your father.." There had to be something else involved with this. Magic, spells, a curse... something.
But that didn't matter right now. Naming these little ones and loving them was the task at hand! "Kero', hush."

Thought it would be fun to throw Kero' in there too~ O: .. -Will probably end up re-reading the manga now- XD

Shaolan was uneasy. He didnt know what it was about the baskets, but there was just something about them that didnt feel right. Sakaura, on the other hand was excited. More babies! she thought. She loved her four children more than anything. They meant everything to her.
The wind was blowing. The cool november air bright and cheery with the excitment of the family, lessend by Shaolans fear of the foals not being theirs, turning out to be dead, and the worst of all, not looking like him or Sakura.
Shaolan shook. His knees knocking together, his teeth chattering, his mind telling him that it was all going to be okay. There was no doubt that Shaolan would love his children, even if they looked nothing like him. Now if the baskets turned out to be empty, glittering with the foals spirits, then that was another story. But the shaking told him that it was okay.
The lids glided off, and one of the baskets toppled over. Four tiny hooves popped out from under one of the upside down baskets, and scuttled over to Sakuras feet. He ran into her delicate legs and fell over, his feet returning inside the basket. Sakura picked up the basket off the foal and leaned down to nuzzle it, her soft fur clashing with his. Or hers? No, his. The foal crawled underneath her legs and sat down awkwardly.
The second basket skidded to a halt five feet away from Sakura. Her eyes glittered brightly as the foal, which was another boy, crawled out from under the basket. Shaolan smiled a warm, bright smile. His two new foals were boys! Oh, the joys they would have together! As the other foal clambered up to its mother, Shaolan nuzzled it, its bumbling legs shaking, Skaura and Shaolan nuzzled their foals, Shaolan recovereing from his utter shock at what beautiful babies he had.

Username: stormflower Soquili owned: 6(2 are co-owns)+1 basket on the way-7 in the broad spectrum XD Motivation: Parents reaction to the special Halloween "twist"
Possible name: F-Liqiu, beautiful autumn, Meifeng, beautiful wind, or Mingzhu, bright pearl M-Jinhai, golden sea, Nianzu, thinking of ancestors, Qiu, Autumn,Zian, son of peace, or Zihao, son heroic (for the rp Ill just use the Female name Mingzhu) I really cant decide XD Temper: Calm
It was a joyous occasion as they learned they were going to be 'new' parents again, but even from the start something felt different. It wasn't anything bad, but the circumstances of the pregnancy was different then the times before, but Sakura and Shaolan soon forgot about it as they readied for the new additions to the family.
Every one was excited for the 3 new additions, but none more then mom and dad themselves. Finally the day arrived they babies were ready to leave their baskets and great their family. One by one they emerged with squinted eyes from the new light, but smiles all the same.
Shaolan an Sakura looked over their new babies and something was different about them. They had certain features, characteristics that they could not understand. Other then those few features they were perfect. Though it still puzzled them they were still their children and would love them with all their hearts.
The baby that was in the more brown/tan of the baskets was named Mingzhu and was the first to speak to her mother. She carefully walked over to Sakura and 'hugged' her leg, "Hello Mama, hello Papa". With the sweetest smile all they could do was smile back. Though their looks were more unusual, they seemed perfectly normal healthy foals. Sakura smiled back down at Mingzhu and nuzzled her and smiled at Shaolan as he then nuzzled his youngest daughter as well.
As the young ones grow they may get questioning looks here and there, but with their parents, older siblings, an even cousins they will help to grow strong and bright. Sakura and Shoalan know that books cannot be judged by their covers alone, and those that truly care can look beyond appearances. They will be loved.
Extra: This kinda sucked, but I wanted to still try. I love CCS the anime and I always have and would be honored to become an extended part of the CCS soquili family. I also do enjoy rp'ing so their personality would be able to grow. Thanks for this opportunity, Im sure the perfect home will be found. Good luck to all!

Entry- Sakura was overjoyed. She was going to be a mama again! Not that she wasn’t already, what with her four lovely grown-up children and even two grandchildren, but now she was going to have little ones again. To have the pitter-patter of little hooves running around again, and the little ones so dependant on her and Shaolan, with their touching innocence and curiosity about everything…. Sakura nearly bounced up and down on her hooves with giddiness before she remembered that the foals were still growing inside her, and that she needed to be careful so as not to cause them any harm.
Shaolan watched his mate tenderly and with fondness. There were times when it was hard to believe that they weren’t still younglings themselves, but already had two batches of foals who’d already grown and even started to have families of their own. She was so much like a filly with her enthusiasm and love of life. And here, they were about to have more children. He was content. Truth be told, he was excited to have more children too, though nowhere near as much as his beloved mate.

“Shaolan, look. We’re gonna have three more babies. Isn’t it WONDERFUL?” Sakura was giddy cooing over her baskets. Adoring them all. She didn’t seem to notice that they were slightly darker than those of her previous children, or that there was something slightly off about them. In her eyes and mind, they were simply perfect. Three more perfect children that were examples of the love she and her mate shared.
There was something, strange, Shaolan noticed. The baskets were, as his mate so happily pointed out, perfect in appearance, but he still got shivers down his spine when he looked at them. Something inside him was warning him that something was off. He still smiled at Sakura and dutifully attended to the baskets, “They are perfect, love.”
He would be a good father and protect his baskets, even if he had misgivings, and just pray that he was wrong. Not that he wouldn’t love the foals, they were part of him and Sakura- and he couldn’t hate anything that had to do with his mate- no matter what, it would just be easier if his misgivings were unfounded.
Oblivious to her mate and the internal conflict he was suffering, Sakura rounded up the baskets and nestled them together before laying down with them and singing a lullaby.
~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~ ~
Sakura and Shaolan watched, one with delight and anticipation the other with trepidation, as the foals emerged from their baskets. Sakura bounced on her hooves and was quick to greet each of the foals with love and affection as they made their way out of the baskets and into the world. Shaolan hung back slightly, not wanting to overwhelm the babies and also to see whether his fears were founded or not.
When the first and second emerged, he heaved a sigh of relief. They were perfectly natural, harmless looking foals. There was nothing strange and unusual about them.
Then the third emerged – a daughter- and all his fears were realized. Not that she wasn’t adorable too, it was just… she was different, strange. Though inwardly he recoiled – how could this foal belong to them?- it was still his foal. He walked over to Sakura and the foals, greeting them affectionately one by one. Saving the changling for last and being slightly more formal and distant with her.
As the foals grew, Sakura and Shaolan’s attitudes remained the same. Sakura delighting in the younglings, loving them –differences and all- while Shaolan was a doting daddy for the eldest and middle child, and affectionate but distant to the youngest – not that it was her fault, but he had difficulty loving his dark, fey changeling.
Note: I’m positive that I butchered both parents’ personalities, but hey, I couldn’t resist trying. And a huge thanks to Lora for allowing us all the chance to try to become a part of this wonderful family.

Sakura bounced around the baskets, the over excited look on her face positively glowing as she watched the baskets begin to shake about. One would think, after already having had so many children, the excitement would be gone. Not for this expectant mother. The idea that these little ones were so close to coming into her life in full force made her smile and glow even more.
Shaolan stood over Sakura, nuzzling in close with a stern look on his face. He peered down watching the little baskets jiggle. The first one popped open with a small pop, the second not long after. Finally the third popped.
Sakura smiled, her heart filled with joy as she looked down at her littles. She was happy they had made their first step into this life. But as she looked, her smile faded a little as she leaned back against Shaolan.
“Are they...do they...seem alright to you?” she asked in a low voice, smiling back down at the three odd little foals. "Perhaps we should talk to Clow..."
Shaolan nodded a little, his face still as stern and contemplative as ever. “I think...we might have a problem...perhaps...” he paused, Sakura quickly for once getting the gist of his thought. This was something she had been getting better with. Then again, they had been together for so long.
“They are ours, there is no doubt about that in my heart ” she smiled, walking over to them slowly and pulling them all close to her. “It just gives them Character. I am sure their siblings will adore them..”
Nodding, he headed towards them, curling himself around Sakura and looking at the kids with a smile. Though they were different, they ment the world to Sakura and therefor him.
“Something tells me...They are going to be a handful..” he whispered as one of the foals looked up, shooting him a devious smile.

OOC: Be warned, I never dabbled in Card Captor Sakura much. saw a couple of episodes but not a lot to fully know about the universe, and never fully knew about the parents.... Please bear with me.
It was a brand new day. The sun rising high above in the horizon. The sky was blue, the flowers in bloom on this sunny day. The birds were happily chirping in the sky as some were in flock formation, starting their way south to move on this season. The couple were resting under the treeline, watching the fields as they nested close to their baskets. Life was perfect.
"Ready to see our next set of kids love?" Sakura asked her beloved Shaolan, Shao for short. It wasn't the first time the couple the couple had kids. Being the parents of four other gorgeous kids who had gone off to see the world on their own, it was a bit lonely to be together without the kids. True, they had their moments together, but there was a void that couldn't be filled by being together, the kids were the spice that added to their family life and they honestly missed them. "Of course love." the green clothed male replied, smiling over to their little upcoming brood.
The little baskets wiggled slightly, life was evident in their little brood. Smiling, the parents went closer, gently giving their brood a little nudge. The pair could feel a little magic down the lane. Something magical, they knew their next brood would simply be perfect. They'd be simply magical. They knew it in all their hearts. They've been talking at how they'd look.... and how cute they would be, sakura more excited than ever
The first basket popped and the next and then the next. What brought them to the world was simpl y magical alright...but...very...very odd. "Oh dear...." Shao gently exclaimed, simply staring at their three new kids with... a few strange extras. "Guess that ride we took....had a few.... things in the air." the male slowly muttered, gently exclaiming at the strangeness that was their kids. Sakura however, simply smiled, slowly approaching one of their little ones, she nuzzled her. "They're perfect." she cooed adoringly. "In their own little way." their father replied. It would take some time to get used to but they were a family... One big happy family with their new additions to the herd. Odd, but perfect in their own way.

Sakura , Shaolan
The sun had just started to tinge the sky a brilliant pink when Sakura awoke, next to her Keroberos rolled over in his sleep. But she hadn't been woken up by the sun alone, a sound...one she had heard many times before. There it was again! the sound of straining wicker! Sakura quickly got to her hooves and fairly thrummed with excitment My babies! they're coming!" she shifted her hooves anxiously as she watched the baskets rattle and make noise, they were almost here! " ooooOOooh...oh!" she found herself struck with a bout of bubbly laughter " i need to tell Shaolan!" She sucked in a breath and called out across the dawn kissed meadow"SHAAAAAOOOLAAAN!!!"
Shaolan had been collecting fruit for Sakura, she had been tired recently, and who could blame her? The normally steely expression he wore melted away replaced with one of supreme happiness. He fairly outbeamed the sun and grinned from ear to ear, THREE baskets! They already had four wonderful children, and grandchildren! every time he thought about it he just couldn't quite believe it...he adored his wonderful mate and their wonderful children...and soon, there would be more! He carried on the family proudly. Just then a sweet voice cut the morning air...Sakura!
"SAKURAAA!!! I'M COMING!"He nearly dropped all the fruit in his mad dash back to his mates side, he nearly tripped over his long sleeves as he skidded to a halt, his eyes wild and hopeful "Sakura! what's wrong, are you ok? The baskets?" he barely had gotten the question out when he saw an unusual expression cross his mates face, happiness, yes, but something else as well...a questioning. " Sakura?" He smiled and nuzzled her " how are the baskets? ...are they? ...did they?" he fought to keep his composure, though he was very eager to see them.
Sakura smiled sweetly at him, that smile that had made him melt all those years ago " Congratulations Shaolan, you are a daddy again!" He fidgeted, fighting not to look over his mates shoulder Oh, where are they? are they hiding under your skirts? Dont be nervous lil ones, daddy is here~" he tilted his head, spotting three sets of curiously cloven hooves...cloven?
Sakura looked nervously at her mate, how to tell him...they WERE her children, and his...but they looked...strange. Maybe something from the carnival had an effect? She shook her head, her ribbons bouncing. No...Sakura had learned to accept differences long ago through the hardships she had faced with the Clow cards, and this definitely included her children, no matter how odd they looked, they were hers and his...and that was that. Shaolan, they're a little different than what we expected...but they are our new beautiful children, and they need you be a good father once again" she half stepped over, revealing three curious little foals, blinking in the morning sun, each one still wobbly and trailing bits of wicker.
Shaolan was taken aback as the foals were revealed, different she said! they certainly were, he had never seen foals like this from his family. He looked questioningly at his mate but she simply nodded and nuzzled one that seemed to have horns...he blinked at them and forced himself to be calm and think, to look. And there, among the horns, oddly colored eyes and sinister markings, were his children. One of them had his coloring, and another definitely had it's mothers features...They looked up at him from behind Sakura's socks and smiled "daaaadddyyyy~!!" they chimed at him and one even awkwardly toddled over to him and gave one of his legs a friendly headbutt. He was speechless...but a fire bloomed in his heart, one called joy. Sakura giggled " that one...is definitely yours! Headstrong!"
Shaolan chuckled and tapped the tough little foal with a hoof "indeed he is!" He looked at his mate, deeply and nodded, his heart ached as he saw tears sparkle on her delicate cheeks."Its ok dear, doesn't matter what they look like, they're our precious children Sakura, We're parents again." Sakura smiled and picked the fruit from the bag he had been holding to feed to the hungry foals " yes" she replied softly " we are" <3

The foals were different from what they had expected.
"Er, Sakura," Syaoran said, nudging his nose at one of the foals lying asleep, long legs curled up awkwardly beneath its gangly body. "What...exactly...happened?"
His mate had her head tilted, eying her three children with a confused expression on her face. It wasn't an unusual look - Sakura, after all, tended to be quite clueless about things at times (it had taken her months to actually realize he'd been in love with her, and had been for quite some time) - so that wasn't what was bemusing to Syaoran.
No, it was the fact that their three children - their brand new, wide-eyed, bow-legged, wobbling children - were, to say the least, a tad...strange looking.
"I'm...not quite certain." Sakura answered, tossing her head somewhat anxiously, flipping a strand of dark hair from her eyes. "Nothing was different this time. I mean - " she added hastily, as both of them flushed, Syaoran shuffling his feet in slight embarrassment. "We didn't...well, everything was the same."
They were both silent for a moment as both of them turned their heads away, as awkward and nervous as their first outing together - but that had been so long ago, and now they had not just these three new ones, but four other children together. Syaoran let out a small whinny of laughter, shaking his head.
"Everything's the same, is it?" he murmured, pushing lightly against the side of her neck with his nose. "I don't think so. We're not the same as we once were, are we?"
His mate laughed, as light and tinkling as a bell, and leaned against him, her head resting next to his. "No," she agreed, blowing a strand of her mane from her face again - it really was quite a habit of hers by now. "No, we're different. You are, at least."
Syaoran raised an eyebrow, turning to look at her. "Why just me?"
"Well, you're more confident now than you used to be." Sakura answered, then teased "Don't you remember how long it took you to confess to me that you loved me?"
"Well, that's because you weren't interested in me." Syaoran sniffed, pretending to be offended. "You were always off with that other stallion. Whatshisname."
Sakura laughed again, poking his flank with her nose, a light pink dusting beneath her eyes. "Oh," she said. "Him. Well, it turned out for the better, didn't it? He went off with someone else and I ended up with you."
"So you're saying it all worked out in the end the way it was supposed to, are you?" Syaoran asked, sliding his gaze from his mate to their children again. They still were different than he had expected them to look, but for some reason right now they didn't look quite so odd as he had first thought.
Different, yes. But not odd. And Sakura was smiling, closing her eyes and leaning against him, sharing her warmth with him.
"Yes." she said. "Everything worked out the way it was supposed to in the end."
Syaoran was still looking at their children. A smile curved his lips upwards.
"I agree."

It was finally that joyous time When foals drew up their strength and courage enough to leave the safety of their baskets behind and venture into the rest of the world. The two parents watched eagerly as the baskets tipped and rattled. Pop! one basket opened then, Pop another one. Both father and mother looked adoringly upon the foals as they tested out their news legs and fumbled to stand. Still this last little basket seemed to quiver and roll about before finally Shaolan gave it a gentle reassuring nudge with his nose. The basket gave a small giggle and a squeal before the entire basket tipped and rolled tumping the foal inside it out on the ground. It looked to Sakura like this foal was just having a slow start. One leg then the other, the foal stood up and very wobbly turned around to greed it's parents. That's when they noticed the strange markings. " Shaolan.... Is it me or do they all seem to look ever so slightly different?" She looked from one foal to the other as she wondered just What could have made her children look so odd yet so much like them.
Sure enough they all did look some what differently than their previous children had. As the last foal fumbled over the grass towards him, his heart melted once more. Yes fatherhood was such a joyous thing indeed. "You're right, my love. But they're ours none the less. We'll love them all the same."
A breath she hadn't realized she'd been holding escaped her mouth as she leaned her head down and nuzzled the two other foals. She'd been a little worried he's suspect some sort of foul play or that possibly they'd been given the wrong baskets still he hadn't shown any concern. This eased her own worries the joy of motherhood washing away any lingering thoughts. "You're right, They're ours regardless . Who cares if they have a little something different? It just makes them all the more special, a special surprise."
This brought a smile that warmed his eyes. Walking over to Sakura, he nuzzled her and then the other two foals. "Yes, my dear. They certainly are a special surprise." Unique but a vision of their love no matter what had caused the foals to have such interestingly different additions; they were indeed special surprises to him.
