I know what they are, and the requirements for them, but what determines which sleight you get? Like is there some sort of drop down list that pops up that you can choose from (with the level taken into consideration), or what? I'd thought I'd ask before I wasted my level up, but yeah.
Totally lost here.
Here's hoping that that made a lick of sense. xp

Does that game have anything to do with the original kingdom hearts? I've never played the ps2 one but I wanted to get the gba version so I could play it anywhere. So would I be totally lost or would I be able to understand whats going on?

Childlike Empress Im not sure that I understand what your asking. sweatdrop Me? sweatdrop I mean does the KH: Chain of Memories have stuff from the first game. Like do they have references to it. Like say Half Life 2. If you haven't played the first one, there are alot of things that may be confusing to you. I'm asking if KH:CoM is like that.

not really, more or less you go through the same areas, just with a slightly different story throughout the game obviously. You don't HAVE to know everything to be able to enjoy it and understand what's going on, but it helps a lot ^^

I believe it depends on what level card you save up for them...should be listed yeah...
as for the story well yeah you don't need to know the original KH but it helps. Honestly you don't have to play this game to proceed the story probably...

It's, like, kinda smack dab in the middle of KH and KHII. I guess that explains it...

I played Chain of Memories before I played the first KH, and I understood most of what was going on... My sister had a bit of a problem, though. She kept going, "Who the heck is this KAIRI person he keeps talking about?" sweatdrop

Um, I think its the level on the card will depend on how great the slight is. Remember, doing the slight will make you loose your first card that you put down for the rest of the fight.
I think CoM is really important for the next game. I know its not required to play it since it is just a filler for KH2 but they do bring in very important people (Axle and the Order members are just examples). Plus, I think they might have Niame come back in KH2. I don't really know though.

My brother left his cartridge at my house and I cannot, for the life of me, figure out how to start a new game.
EDIT: Er, never mind. Just turned on the game and found it easily. Perhaps the last time I tried I was...I don't know. >_>

Heheheh.
I just beat the game this morning. cool
And it feels like just yesterday I was asking how to do a sleight. xd
Since I have yet to play the sequel, I can't really say if it's necessary to play CoM, just because of how it ends (those of you who have beaten it know what I'm talking about). I'm sure they'd recap key events that happened in CoM for KH2, but again I'm not, nor can't be sure.
But why wouldn't you want to?! It's kick a**!! heart heart heart

I already know what happens, but I won't ruin anything because I know everyone will hunt me down and jump me. But she is kinda important. I never really beat CoM though, because of those damn door requirements. I spent hours trying to get the necessary cards, but all I got were the cards I didn't need.
