Matsuo is the only person in history to escape the nest of maggots. He was put away by Yamamoto before Kenpachi ever became a captain. He was the former captain of squad twelve. Preforming insane experements with shinigami and hollows, it was rumored that he experemented with the hollowification that made the vizards, if this was true he would be the first person to think of something like that. His experements were the reason he was put away. He spent many years in the nest of Maggots. One day the soul society had a new head captain, he saw his usefulness in battle because of his sadistic personality. He freed him to lead the 11th division, if he ever betrayed the soul society or broke the rules...... He would be executed on the spot.
