Working in retail during this time of year
I am subjected to non-stop ads for Christmas, decorations,
BLACK FRIDAY, more angry parents, and all around assholes.
Leaving me to start being annoyed with my favorite holiday...
AND IT'S NOT EVEN THANKSGIVING YET!!
So help me APG!
Tell me what you're family/friends are doing for Thanksgiving and
what you plan to do for Christmas that is not associated with buying gifts!
I plan on making individual size loafs of rum cake for my co-workers!
Also plan on building gingerbread houses and making a snowman with Jena again! ^_^

Hopefully my family comes out for Christmas this year. My grams and I are going to make cookies to take to the neighbors and I want to make a gingerbread house. My grandmother made one last year. I'm in charge of decorating (for once omg....... they took my halloween decorating away so I'm taking their christmas ha).
:I I have to cook a turkey like always. It's never a ham, always a turkey. I hate turkey. 24 pound something bird. Its horrible.
I hope it rains on Christmas.... or snow. Snow would be awesome but I have never seen snow in my life.. >B( This is what I get for living in California. Oh well in a few years I will have a white Christmas for the rest of my life. ^ u ^ Yay Canada.
sad Hm... Ya. No presents this year cuz we're poor but I'm used to that. This isn't the first Christmas that is going to happen.

Except at borders cuz they had a hot pink christmas tree and it was the most beautiful christmas item I have ever seen in my life and I wanted it. It was gorgeous. ; u ; one year....

well idk about you guys but i've been celebrating the "holiday season" since back in september. xD
aside from that, i have the Pacquiao battle to look forward to on saturday. dunno who i'm rooting for though.
about 13 days before christmas though, i plan on going to church for 13 days...as part of my religion. just to experience it. you guys already know how 'religious' i am anyway. xD called simbang gabi or misa de gallo. bawk!

Went shopping at target, the store was toasty and there were Christmas decorations and lights all over. I was so mad. But then it was like an infection started in my brain and half-way during shopping I started humming Christmas songs.... o ________ o

We usually go to my Grandma's for Thanksgiving, but I guess so many people had different plans so we're staying home this year. We will be going to her house for Christmas though.

Oh gawd my family is playing Christmas music LOUDLY and my neighbors are putting up their lights outside... and I was so happy earlier when I went to a GROCERY STORE that actually had FALL decorations! lol

Well... atm my biggest concern is exams. I'm going to explode any day now.
But then I'll pack my s**t, go home, be totally overwhelmed by christmas and barely feel that it's passed. We'll eat dinner with the folks and I'll be working part time as a barback at a nightclub and getting myself money.

Ahh I want to make a gingerbread house! I've only ever made one before :C
Thanksgiving...I actually don't know what I'm doing yet, haha. I think we're going over a friend's house (with a bunch of other friends) and fooding.
Christmas I'm going skiing and snowboarding! Can't waaait~ My butt is going to be so sore, haha.

I'm being taken to a Thanksgiving dinner at my partner's aunt's house, even though I don't celebrate the holiday. As for Christmas; I celebrate Solstice, lol. (But I don't deny people their holiday joy and will go to an event if I can make it and am invited and I won't tell them that they can't do anything for me in relation to that holiday.)
I don't miss working retail this time of year. One of the two shifts I had at GameStop while being employed there for a few months (I quit because they treated me like crap) was on Black Friday. Did not appreesh.

I spent the weekend with my girlfriend and her family in Chicago. Hella fun; lots and lots of food, lots of shopping, and we went to the zoo! Plus, you know, girlfriend time and stuff. biggrin

This is my 4th black friday with Gamestop. People suck, and I mean the customers.
I can't tell you how many times I wanted to choke someone kid trying to get
by on not having an adult with them for a Rated M game. rolleyes

...b***h all you want about crappy customers, least y'all are getting paid. I work for free, in hopes that someday, the funding for me will be restored. ******** budget cuts. I deal with moronic and egotistical students who think they know it all, lazy asses who take up the space of students who have been trying for multiple semesters to get in, domestic disputes, petty, juvenile bullshit that makes me hate going in most days.
you know a group of students is bad when we have to start locking the door as soon as class is over to keep them from coming back in.
