Nothing was more relaxing than Destiny City late at night as far as Chromite was concerned. The air was brisk and the sky was so clear every pin-point of a star was visible. Everything was beautiful and the teenager leaping from roof-top to roof-top was enjoying it with whole new eyes. Her powers were new and she felt as though she'd just overdosed on steroids, but instead of dying she was blessed with super powers. For the first time in Genevieve's Chromite's relatively new life she felt like she was at the top of food chain. No more brown-nosing and sucking up to get what she wanted. No, now she could take it and no one could do a damn thing about it.
All the souped up teen wanted right now, though, were starseeds. Those blessed, wonderous, items glittering and waiting in the hearts of the people of the world. The key to Chromite gaining more power and serving her Queen. This was the first time that she had ever patrolled on her own and consequently the first time that she got to prove to her superiors that adding her to their ranks had been the right decision. The best decision. Clenching a fist as she leaped high over the city she'd called "home" since birth she scanned the streets below for her next victim. She only hoped to find an easier mark to make her last for the night. Chromite was starting to feel the adrenaline rush ebbing away and she was just about ready to call it night.
Thankfully that was when she saw her- Stopping as she landed on the building closest her victim bow shaped lips curled up into a perfect U. A drugged up whore probably didn't have the most shining starseed in Destiny City but it was a starseed nonetheless, and an easy one to pluck at that.
Dropping down to the street from her perch Chromite's ballet flats barely made a sound on the concrete. A fact barely noticed by the girl as she was still marveling that the fall hadn't killed her. With a chuckle and stretch of her shoulders she skipped gleefully to the woman lying in her own vomit on the ground. "Ew." It escaped her lips before she'd even realized she'd thought it but if it alerted the puddle of prostitute in her line of sight- Well, there was no indication that it had.
Placing dainty hands on full hips, Chromite shook her head and stopped in a spot clear of bile but close enough that all she had to do was reach down and take her prize. The beauty was that she didn't even have to bother hiding this body. With a happy tune in her heart she reached a gloved hand out to the person before her. She stroked the poor woman's hair, cheek, chin, and then she plunged it straight into the hooker's chest.
It would have been the killing blow as well- If Chromite had been more practiced. As it was she still had to fish about for that most precious prize, and as far as the prostitute was concerned it hurt like a b***h. It must have at least, as the woman's mouth opened and let out a gut-busting scream just as Chromite found the starseed.

 -Polaris was one of 'those' kind of senshi. The ones who preached about righteousness and justice. The kind that imagined themselves a glimmering and pure light, goodness incarnate, fighting a fierce battle against evil. Whether she was or not was up for debate. She believed it however.
Others might have dismissed the tainted citizen, might have decided to pass over this particular battle for a more deserving victim, goodness knew there were likely more agents of darkness or monsters out murdering this evening. But that was not Sailor Polaris' style.
The subtle sensation of a dark aura nearby pulled the senshi's attention away from her search of the skyline. A youma perhaps? It dawned on her that it might have been something more, as the negaverse had gotten very good at hiding their auras. Making her way across the rooftop, a sudden scream clued her into the direction she needed to go. With her breath held, she jumped from the rooftop, letting it all out as her boots slapped the pavement bracing the shock with her knees. It did not stop her from making her grand enterance however, sliding around the corner before she barked out loudly, hoping to grab the attention of the dark energy.-
"Guiding star from the north, solider of justice and light, Super Sailor Polaris is here!"
-Her arms spread out dramatically as she assessed the situation and her target, it looked almost comical as if she thought they were part of some play, and the body on the ground wasn't writhing near death. Her face was quite serious however, teal eyes piercing.- "Let her go."

It was comical actually. To Chromite at least and she didn't hide it when she laughed openly, her back still to the sailor scout. While one group of fingers found what they were looking for she held up a finger on her free hand to signal to the pesky intruder to kindly shut the hell up. It didn't work(of course) as the Senshi kept prattling off her minute long introduction. But when she told Chromite to let go of the, now, dead body the girl twirled on her heel and lifted her eyes up to Polaris. "Okay!"
As simply as that, she let the woman drop back down to the ground and lifted the starseed for the other girl to see. "I got what I came for anyway. Gonna do anything about it Twinkle Toes?"
She was all swagger and calm on the outside but inside was a totally different Negaverse gal. Swearing with every word she knew, Chromite took stock of just how much energy she had left to stay as Chromite and not accidentally power down to her civilian form. 'Cause that would be bad.
It was going to be bad.
She was running on practically empty and knowing that made her physically cringe more than she wanted to.

-Nothing sent her a ill feeling through her stomach like the sparkling appearance of a starseed. True they were beautiful, the even gave off a sort of lovely aura... but she'd been part of one too many accidental crushings or and too many 'not quite quick enoughs' in the past. To see the absolute vunerability of a person.. to know their very life was right there if she could just grab it... it was uncomfortable. She tried her best not to look at the still body on the ground behind the girl with chocolate and pink hair.
She'd be a quick this time. Just.. hopefully quick AND cautious.-
"You bet I am. Better protect that star seed if you're hoping to get it back to your queen." -A bluff perhaps.. but she hoped the girl would take heed as the small metal objects in the area began to shiver and move and suddenly a trash can, bolts, pens, and an onslaught of other items came flinging at Chromite like she was suddenly the worlds biggest magnet.- "Magnetic field!"
-It certainly wasn't enough to take out a Lt, not even most youma in just one attack. But she'd certainly show she meant business, and there were always some goodies left scattered around to make a weapon after the attack.-

"You don't EVEN get the right to mention my Queen!" There wasn't much that could cause Chromite to lose her cool in zero to sixty but the unworthy even thinking about who she served could definitely do just that. Plucking her toy gun from it's place on her hip she snarled when she peered up and realised that her "weapon" wasn't going to do very much good. Not with every movable piece of metal in the vicinity hurtling itself directly at her face.
That b***h.
Flinging herself to the ground, Chromite dropped her gun beneath her as she raised both pink gloved arms to protect her head and face from that which she had no hope of dodging. She was just going to have to wait out the oncoming metal storm and wait it out she did. All she could was breathe out silent gratitude that Polaris' attack wasn't one that lasted long.
Standing again she knew that she'd still managed to get her cheek sliced open, a new gash in her jacket sleeve, and she could swear she was never going to get the trashcan slime out of her hair. But the starseed was safe.
In her mouth.
Smiling, she spat the small crystal out and hid it inside the bosom of her dress. "Oh, I'll keep it safe don't you worry." She raised her now cracking plastic weapon and poised herself defensively, "and once I'm done I'll be sure to place yours right with it."
Then she attacked. Using what surprise she could, Chromite threw herself at Polaris and aimed to shatter the rest of her gun upon the senshi's forehead.

-Great.... The prudish senshi's heart sunk a little as she watched the starseed slip into hiding. It was safe.. true enough. But the idea of trying to reach around into, or rip out the shirt of another girl was off putting. She'd definately do it, she HAD to do it, but trashy girl catfights weren't really her style of choice.- "Keep thinking that. Once I win, I'm giving it back to that woman and you'll be the only one left laying in this alley. Like the trash you guys are." -She added for emphasis, almost grinning at her own cleverness.
It was probably encouraging for the Lt, to hear the oh so proud senshi squeal a little in distress as Chromite lunged at her. Polaris' attempted to step back, eyes quickly scanning for something nice to use as a weapon on the ground before turning back towards. Between trying to escape backwards, the sudden weight change of body against boddy, and shattering pain on the top of her head Polaris tumbled backwards onto the ground. Her teeth gritted, feeling the prickling of blood forming around her brow, but she could feel something beneath her hand atleast.
Fingers grasping the ink pen she swung it forward in an attempt to jam the thing as far as she could into whatever part of the Lt she could manage.-

Unfortunately the easiest place to reach was a thigh. Chromite took a sharp intake of air as she suddenly had an ink pen sticking out of her leg and cussed loudly as she rolled to get back up onto her feet. Augh. That was going to get infected, she just knew it. The only gratification she got out of it was knowing that the slice across the senshi's head probably hurt like a b***h. Cuts always stung.
Reaching down as she stood up shakily she pulled the pen from her flesh as she straightened out. Tossing it to the side, she grasped the remaining pieces of her weapon and frowned in a big ol' upside down U. "We're trash? You probably just gave me gangrene like a hobo. Is that how the senshi do things? Take out their opposition with disease..." Hey, that was actually a good idea. "Maybe we should trade insurance info- So the hospital knows who's parents to bill when I'm done killing your a**."

As Chromite withdrew Polaris took a second to reach her hand to the sting racing across her forehead, pulling her hand back to judge just how much blood was spilling from it. In the end it wasn't much. Enough to hurt, like A LOT, and enough that she'd surely have the mark for a week or more, but certainly not enough to bleed out.
Had she been witter she might have enjoyed the banter being thrown from the other girl. It was clever, and almost playful all things considered. But this wasn't a game. She'd seen enough starseeds destroyed.. had lost too many civilians because she just hadn't been good enough. This was serious, and her voice was matter of fact and calm when she responded. "Not necessary. I'm not going to make you suffer, it will be quick" It was the one mercy she could offer.
As of yet Polaris had never killed a person before. Youma yes... strange alien possessed creatures yes, but she'd never even severely crippled a human enemy before. What made her choose this opponnent in particular would probably haunt her in the future. It was probably just the misfortune of the odds being stacked against Chromite.
As she reached behind her Polaris' hand settled onto something much much bigger. It looked like a piece of pipe, an inch wide and a couple feet long, it's edges rusted and corroded where it had broken off from a large piece. Gripping it in her hand she hesitated a moment, finding the thought of beating the other girl with it less than pleasant. But finally she stepped forward with a swing.

"Oh, well that's certainly a --" Whoa! As of yet Chromite had never actually fought a senshi, this was a first, and she'd been doing her best to hide any real fear behind charm and bravado, but as the swinging pipe that nearly bust into her ribs could attest this b***h was serious. Rolling out of the way in a scramble, Chromite cussed loudly as the swipe of the pipe still sliced down her back. There were no witty words for this one and for once Chromite had a very distinct urge to say her goodbyes and book it home as quickly as she could.
No. No. "No." She glared at the senshi and resolved to finish this. Even if it meant her death as well she was taking this lady down with her. Lips flat and eyes narrowed she eyed a large piece of her ruined gun on the ground and snatched it up. Grasping it like a prized possession to her chest she ran and jumped up to the roof of the building where this had started. "Sorry, cupcake. I refuse to make this easy for you in any way." Then she dashed to the edge and flung herself straight down at Polaris with the pointy plastic over her head. Using herself as though a bullet from a real firearm.
((If you want to wrap this up soon, that's cool. Chromite throwing herself off a building is as good a place to begin the end as any.))

Polaris really had to give the other girl points for her drive and gumption. She was a brawler and good one too. At first she was frightened Chromite was retreating when she jumped to the rooftop, so she was all the more surprised when she saw her body falling back down towards her. Her arm lifted in defense, taking the plastic shard hard and deep as the girl and her force slammed against her.
It was luck alone that the shard had missed the large vines of her arm, but the bit of plastic was nonetheless wedged quite well into her arm. She screamed and hissed, but she also took the oppurtunity that had presented itself.
Chromite was too close to possibly dodge, too inexperienced to realize her mistake. "Super magnetic field" The words were barely over a whisper as the pipe left Polaris' hand sliding through flesh like a knife through butter. She was close enough she could have done it herself.. but there was something a little more comforting to think that her powers were killing someone.. that it wasn't her own two hands that had driven it through the other girl.

And just like that it was over. As suddenly as it had begun but somehow with a lot less talking. Shock registered on her face and in her eyes as soon as the pipe slid through, and because of that shock it didn't hurt. Chromite simply felt a flash of warm and then it started to fade. Holding on to every bit of mental and phsysical strength she had, she reached out and grabbed a hold of Polaris' hair with surprising tenacity. Eyes narrowing she opened her mouth to speak but instead coughed blood all over the senshi's pretty white uniform. Choking it back she grinned. "We're the murderers, right?" Her hold was getting weaker on Polaris as much as life and she blinked as though that would help anything. "Hope you have nightmares of this."
She released her hold on the b***h's hair and shoved herself as far from the senshi as she could. Doubling over Chromite collapsed on the ground in a splendid display of drama and more blood vomiting. If it was the last thing she did, and it certainly looked like it was, she was going to make Sailor Polaris remember her.

Chromite's dramatics did their intended job. Her hair locked in the other girl's hand it took a long moment of tugging for Polaris to free herself. Long enough to see the pain on the other girl's face, the blood splattering from her mouth, the flash of understanding that her end was near. "Soliders sometimes have to kill. People don't blame the troupes who were forced to kill the Nazi's that slaughtered the Jews..."
Ouch... It was how she regarded them however. Human.. but so far lost of their humanity that sometimes this was the only option. Chromite showed no remorse.. so why should she.
"But I'm sorry it had to come to this.." Her voice was a whisper as she spoke.
She wasn't sorry she had to kill.. or atleast not yet.. surely she'd have nightmares about this scene for weeks. Misgivings thanks to the bit of her innocence she was leaving behind with Chromite. For now she was more sorry that Chromite had been evil. It would never have had to come to this if Chromite hadn't had that blackness in her soul.
Her fingers dug in one swift motion into the Lt's cleavage as her eyes drifted to the pavement. As soon as her fingers felt it, they retracted, pulling the starseed out.
It was her last bit of mercy. That she'd drag the body of the hooker away before she restored her life to her, save Chromite from her drugged out ravings. At least she'd have the peace and quiet of the night to console her as she drifted away.

By the time her dramatics were winding down she wasn't even doing it for the sake of Polaris being miserable anymore. Chromite was dying. By the time she'd curled up into a ball on the ground she knew she was done, and as her eye-sight faded a small smile graced her lips as the senshi was forced to reach her hand into her bosom to take the starseed. As the girl that had done this to her walked away to put the very soul back into a dead body, the blonde held on to her last bits of strength. She refused to die in front of a stupid sailor scout.
As both the drunk woman and Sailor Polaris vanished down the street and completely out of view Chromite faded completely. She powered down and collapsed fully. The last thing she forced herself to do was hit the emergency button on her cell and pass out.
The next thing Genevieve Ame saw was the ceiling of the Destiny City hospital.
