((Battle rp for Blade and Neko for the lols...))

It had been a couple of weeks already and Neko was already feeling restless. While he enjoyed the peace and quiet he was ready to do something. Despite being 'on the run' he had enjoyed traveling and seeing new places...now they were kind of stuck. This safe haven felt more like a prison.

Itching for something to do he went in search of Blade. Idly he spun a knife in his hand, twirling the blade back and forth, flipping it and catching it by the tip. If he was lucky perhaps Blade would be up for a sparring match, he didn't have much of a technique himself but he wasn't bad at tossing blows. It would just depend on what they would spar with. Perhaps they would use magic as well.

Finally spotting Blade in one of the gardens Neko made his way over. "Nothing much man, just looking for something to do." He continued to flip the knife in his hand wanting to do something productive. "I think all this peace and quiet is going to drive me nuts. Think you would be up for a sparring match or something?"

"Well, I guess that would depend on our rules of engagement if we stay here or not." Depending....if he used his magic a lot of this would end up being destroyed. Sheathing his blade in the holster at his thigh he turned to the thief. "Do you want just a physical match, hand to hand or do you want to add weapons or magic into the mix?" Neko looked around, it was rather open but there were quite a few obstacles. "If we use magic I can't guarantee a lot of this won't get destroyed."

Neko smirked when Blade said it was up to him. "Well, if its up to me then I say anything goes." Blade had no idea what he was getting into but it would be rather interesting to see how the guy fared. It was also a chance for Neko to hone his skills that he felt were getting rusty from being inactive in this place. "Why don't we move outside the city, by the forest." He had been there once already....as long as they didn't go passed the tree line it was relatively safe. And there they would be free to let loose. The area right between the forest and the outer wall was rather large and clear, a perfect battle area. Though Neko supposed they could always go to the guard's tower and fight there as well. They had a training area. "Or there's the guard's tower." He also offered.

With a grin Neko nodded. "Let's go then." Walking through the city it took them a while to finally reach the outer gate. Neko was quick to exit and follow along the outer wall to a place he remembered seeing that would be perfect for this kind of thing. It had a largely clear area with a few obstacles to add to the fun. "Oh, unless you want something to join the party," Neko looked back, warning Blade out of experience. "Don't go too far into the woods." He would probably still explore despite the dangers, so far he had met a handful of odd creatures he had never seen before...and all of them seemed intent on eating him.

Once at the spot he had in mind, a nice clearing that dipped into the forest a little, a fallen tree here and there for cover as well as some large rocks, Neko came to a stop. It was the perfect battle ground in his mind. Plus there was nothing that would really couldn't take a great deal of damage. The trees here were huge. "How about here?"

With a smile Neko threw his head from side to side letting his neck pop a few times. Seeing that Blade had already drawn his sword Neko looped his fingers through some of the throwing knives he had at his side, holding them loosely ready to be used however he needed them to be.

"Right," Neko fell into a sort of stance, the pupils of his eyes dilating like a cat ready to play. "Let's do this." Only a second went by before he launched his first attack; testing out Blade's reflexes he dashed to the side and threw one of his knives toward Blade's shin. He wasn't going to aim for anything critical yet, he just needed to see what he was up against speed wise.

Spinning to the side of Blade's attack, the sword barely missing its mark, Neko decided to retaliate. He was good at close calls, bringing his opponent closer to him without doing a lot of work. Flipping the throwing knife up into his palm, Neko came at the thief, a wide smirk on his face. Drawing his hand back he made a swipe for his arm, the blade wasn't big enough to do a lot of damage but this was more of a game than anything.

Neko hadn't been looking for the smaller dagger, so when Blade pulled the knife forth he managed to leave a fairly large cut across his cheek. Jumping back to avoid further injury Neko ran his thumb across the wound seeing the blood that had already started to run from it. "Nice come back." He smiled flicking the blood away. Blade was pretty quick, he was definitely well above the level of a normal human but how much so was what Neko wanted to know.

The small sliver of color in Neko's eyes turned from icy blue to a stormy gray as he focused his energy into the blade in his hand. The silver of the weapon became swallowed in black as he drew it back and aimed to throw it at Blade's feet. He wasn't aiming so much at Blade as he was the ground, once the knife made contact the dark energy surrounding it would make a small explosion. Nothing big, just enough to throw a fair amount of dirt and debris into the air.
