(( PRP for Betula, owned by Darkmoon Dancer, & Livi, owned by Moon_Princess_Yuki )) Betula had settled on one goal for this morning. Just one. He was going to find himself a very nice breakfast of delicious late berries. He knew this might be a difficult feat as it was so late in the season, but he figured that he had nothing else to do this morning, so why not do something that will take a bit of searching and luck? And yes, he knew that there was a chance that the only types of berries he was going to find at this point would be slightly fermented at this time in the year, but who didn't like a nice change up every once in a while? Not like he would actually be able to get drunk off of them or anything like that. Maybe he would even find some nice bark to chew on.... yes... that would be nice too....
His feet led him about the forest almost of their own accord, and had he been paying attention he would have noticed that this was his usual path down towards the creek, but once he got there, his feet decided to be adventurous. He was taking a brand new turn into the forest in search of those elusive berry bushes.
Smiling to himself and humming softly, he wandered about for maybe an hour or so before finally spotting something promising. Breaking into a trot, he made his way closer, hoping that he had not just been imagining the food he had spotted from a little ways off.

Livi sighed. Most of the specimen's she watched from day to day were no where to be seen. The air was getting colder and she swore the grass was getting bitter. She grumbled trying to find something new to look at. But all she really found was orange and red leaves on the floor and dyeing tree's up higher. It was dull. She wanted to see a soquili she never saw before not the same old tree's and the same old dead plant's she already knew plenty about these thing's. The only thing she was looking forward too in the change of season's was seeing some mushroom's she heard only grew in the fall and the "Snow" stuff that is supposed to be the most beautiful sight you could see that time of year.
Just then she saw a tiny patch of something delicious looking, a little batch of berries. She grinned and calmly trotted over to the sight not seeing the soquili that also approached the berries she now eyed. "Wow who would have thought that some berries would still be ripe this time of year. I heard they all get either eaten or rote by this time." She looked them over, they looked really nice and full of flavor not withered at all. She sniffed at them and they had an off smell to them she couldn't place but still very fruity like. She wanted to try one but was worried about the lose of such a rare find. So she just stared making mental note's about the weather condition's and what plant life surround's it and other similar observation's.

As he neared the bush he saw another Soquili approach it from the other side, which made him slow down to a walk. He took the last few strides upto the bush in question slowly as he eyed the mare. She looked nice enough... no kalona or skinwalker blood from what he could tell... didn't even have wings! His almost clear eyes scanned her over one more time before he dismissed the matter. He didn't feel any threat coming from her, and so would just leave it at that.
Being the silent type, he comes upto the bush, sniffs at the berries and begins to nibble away at them. He doesn't say anything to the mare or really even make his presence known, but he does glance over at her every so often, taking in as many details as he can. She is probably the same height as he is, if not perhaps the tiniest bit taller because of his small stature. But he was used to that. It was not unusual for him to be the same size as females, and even rather uncommon for him to find another male that was his own size.

Livi was still inspecting the bushel of berries when another stallion walked over and started nibbling on the berries she was still observing. "Hey I was still trying to decipher how those were!" Turning she whikered annoyed, she was going to tell this soquili what's on her mind. She gasped as she saw what he was, she was an amazing stallion, a Cerynei stallion. She smiled with glee, she finally got to meet this deer like soquili! Not only that he was unique his horn's were more like branches instead of horn's. She looked up at his horn's, it was easy him being practically the same height as him. "Wow your really cool looking. I really love your horn's. I heard that the horn's of a male Cerynei are used for fighting or showing off to female's. Does the odd shape of your horn's or your smaller size give you an advantage with any of that? Though I don't see reason why the height would help with female's it may help with attacking the male's over territory. Oh but maybe I've gotten bad information? Do your kind fight for territory, or use your horn's to attract mates? Are your hooves used for anything special? They look like they could cause lots of damage. Is your diet the same as most soquili?" Looking down at what he's eating she grinned. "Though I guess that question is already answered somewhat isn't it? You eating those very yummy looking berries and all." She tilted her head back waiting for an answer.

When the mare became agitated and began to tell him off, Betula merely raised his head and chewed over the mouthful of berries he had just gathered. His eyes blinked slowly as her expression seemed to change while she looked him over, and he remained quiet while a million questions spilled out of her mouth. She sure had a lot to say! Or ask... Or... something. She was speaking so quickly that he had to really pay attention to understand each of her questions and be able to separate the words in each of those sentences, as when she spoke they all melted together into one.
She tilted her head to a side and stopped talking. 'Wow... that was a lot of... talking?' His brow furrowed a little as he was at a loss with what to reply to this talkative mare. "Ummmm.... Some of us joust." And that was all he could manage to say. He was unsure of all of the other questions she had asked, but he had no doubt that he would shortly be bombarded with more, so he just left it at that and tried to study the mare, perhaps to try and figure her out, if only a little.

Livi smiled and looked him over more as she waited. He was a handsome enough stallion. Short but with a lovely color scheme that would probably help a lot with blending in with a winter day in a birch forest. She grinned thinking up more question's this time based on his color scheme not his species or look's. She giggled glad to finally meet one of his kind they are so cool looking, and his small tail was so cute, though someone once said calling guy's cute was a bad idea so she left that idea unsaid.
He answered! She grinned this new information was something she didn't know that was good. "Jousting? Really wow I thought that only two-leggers did a sport like that. Is what your kind do any different? Oh you might not know how two-legger's joust. Well I heard this from someone who once lived with a jouster he said jousting is where two people would get on horses and run as fast as they could toward's one another with this big stick thing they call a lance. That would actually work with your kind right? Having those horn's would probably be in place of the lances right? Have you jousted before? I wander if it's fun I can't not having horn's or a lance but I've alway's wanted to know if it was fun and exhilarating like most fight like sport's are supposed normally. Speaking of your horn's does the color of your fur help you blend in with snow like environment's? Does it make you stick out during the spring when the work is more green? Do you like birch tree's? Though you might not even though you are colored like that. The design might actually make you look taller from afar." Livi grinned took a few step's back and looked at him again and made a light humming noise as she thought. "Well I don't think it's makes enough of a difference to help in survival or anything really much it is interesting to note the change even so small. Did you ever notice it being like this before?" She grinned nodding as she took the few step's forward to return back to where she was. "So?" She grinned hoping for more information on him and his kind to base more question's on.

Betula really tried to concentrate and listen hard to the mare, but even so, he only managed to catch every other question... or statement... or something. She really was rather interesting though! So many questions to ask, and so much to say! It was a wonder that her head didn't burst or light on fire with the amount of work it must be doing.
He tilted his head while he thought over all of her questions before he answered. "I grew up in a grove of birch trees. They grow in even lines in the forest. Somewhat strange, I think. But yes, in the spring I have a hard time blending in. In the winter... well, I'm sure you can imagine." A small smile he gave her, and then stopped once more. He was usually not one for words, but with this girl having so many questions to ask, he figured he could at least make an effort to give her some information. It was harmless for her to know, after all, and so she seemed too.

Livi smiled and nodded, each word that he spoke made her listen harder. "Ah so you did come from a forest that look's like your fur. Have you ever had to use your fur as camouflage? Or do you live a quiet life? How fast can you run? With your smaller stature I would thing relatively fast. Though I suppose even though smaller species are usually faster one who is smaller in their own species may not hold that advantage." She pause for jut a second before continuing on a completely different flood of question's when they came to mind. They would seem to be completely random but to her it was a natural course to ask them. "What's your favorite color? Do you like running? Do you like children? I think they are intriguing creatures as they are so different from adult's but in only a few month's time they become adult's. Have you ever eaten a mushroom? Are you a good swimmer? How sharp are your horn's? Have you tried to use your horns?" She could have gone on and on with this new flood on inquiry, and would have if she hadn't stopped to think, so she decided that it would be easier if she stopped now and let him answer.

Betula had finally gotten a hold of her speed of speech only to lose it in the newest array of questions. As she asked question after question, Betula began to munch on the berries once more. And though he tried really hard not to, his mind was focusing more on the delicious tartness of the berries than on the mare's billion questions. He chewed slowly, happily and really did try hard to keep his attention on the mare, but these berries were just... soo... tasty...
Her sudden silence is what really brought him back to listening to what she had been saying. Quickly trying to piece together what he could remember of her questions, he replied, "Blue, yes, yes, yes, sort of... I guess... and my horns aren't sharp really... here..." He lowered his head to let the mare touch them if she wanted to. Hm... was it just him or were these berries helping him understand her questions better? Well they calmed him down, that's for sure.

At the mention of his favorite color Livi's whole face brightened with a huge smile and stared to speak faster and more excited like. "Blue? Really? My parent's are both blue! It's may favorite color because of that. Their the most handsomest Soquili you'll ever see! Though I left their company to go exploring I still miss them." She sighed a some what lonely sigh loosing he happy smile for only a second before perking back up. "So why's blue your favorite? I doubt it's the same as mine being your no where near blue." She slowed down toward's the end when she finally noticed his horn's were lowered. Trying to remember if she said anything about why she stared. It was about half a minute later when she let out a quick load, "oh". She first snuffled at them, they smelled like him, kinda like a forest but only a little. She lightly put her head to their tip's ad smiled. "Not sharp at all, they feel really odd. Not like a tree like one might think. They really do feel like horn's." She was saying this is a calm normal voice not her speedy sort, it was because she was so awed by the experience she was being quiet about it. She would have like to stay like that, staring at his horn's so closely examining every nook and krany. Seeing how they're attached to his head. Seeing how fine, or thick, the fur around his horn and eye's were compared to the rest of his fur. But with a sigh one gives when putting down a good book she removed her head a minute later. "How strong are they? Have they ever broke? If so how long did it take to heal? How strong are you? Is winter fun? I never experienced it before. I heard frozen rain called snow fall's and turn's everything white, that's what your fur look's like right? A forest after snow fall? I wonder is it so pretty in real life? Do you like snow? is snow as cold as they say? Though if it's frozen rain I'd think it was. Wait... Have you ever seen snow?" She'd gone back to her fast pace question's once her moment of awe left. At her last question she stopped and watch him for his answer.

He listened, and as he did, he ended up getting some information out of the mare in return. He was always interested to learn about others, about how they worked and why they did the things that they did, so her information, though crowded, was really rather interesting so long as he could pay attention to her speak.
Simply he answered the color question with, "The sky is blue." And that should have explained itself, he would think. The minutes of silence as she slowly inspected his horns and touched them and snuffled at them were greeted gratefully, as his mind finally had a moment to stop spinning at a million miles a second. But it wasn't meant to last.
He nodded to all of her last questions and when she quieted to wait for his answer he simply answered, "Snow is prettier than you can imagine. But cold and wet." Nevermind that he had skipped more than half of her questions, he just felt good about being able to at least answer some of them.

"The sky?" Livi looked up and smiled, it was still early morning and the sky was a gorgeous blue. It wasn't even very cloudy. "Ah the sky. Did you know that the blue color of the sky is caused by the reflection of the ocean? It really is interesting. It makes me wonder if we put enough dye int the ocean if the sky's color would change." She giggled with the idea of changing the sky. "What would you think of a pink sky? Would it change your favorite color to pink?" She stopped talking again to ponder and pink sky and smiled ruefully. "I don't think I would like a pink sky so much, the blue one help's me not miss my family. Plus it just look's better blue don't you think."
She flicked her ear's when he mentioned snow. "Cold and wet? Makes sense since it's frozen rain. I can't wait to see it. It'll be so educational to actually experience snow. I think I'll do that before asking someone else more question's on it."
Staring dreamily at the sky she suddenly realizes she never introduced her self. "Oh I think I forgot to tell you my name. I'm Livi, can I ask you your name?" And with that he question's halt for a few minutes more.

He listened to her rambling about blue and the sky, and she even got him to chuckle at the mention of changing the sky to pink with enough dye. 'That really would be something...' He shook off, getting that image out of his head. No, he wouldn't like that. It would just be so unnatural. He liked the sky blue. He wouldn't change it for the world. So he nodded along, agreeing that it just looked better blue. "Definitely."
He even grinned when she decided that she would have to experience snow before asking any others about it. He decided that there had to be some sort of organisation to this girl's hectic mind, otherwise she surely wouldn't be able to keep all of those questions straight.
Feeling rather coy, Betula did not introduce himself, but instead answered her question wondering if he would throw her off at all, "Of course."

Livi was smiling almost constantly by this time of their conversation. Even though he only ever answered one or two of the tens if questions she gave him, he answered them. He didn't even look at her weird for asking them, or get annoyed by her none stop rambles. Most would, they would start ignoring her or be rude, but he was nice and fun. She was glad she had this chance to talk with him even if she might never meet him agin.
"You know I once heard that meeting someone once was fate while when you meet them more it's a gift. I never really believe in that sort of thing since it has no scientific back up. Though wouldn't it be fun to have a gift to meet someone more then once? Say if you meet a really fun person you'd have a chance to meet them agin. Though if the two live in the same general area chances are they will meet again. Though if one or both are traveler's the chances lesson to almost zero percent chance to meet again. Have you ever met some one you wanted to meet more then once? I have. There are so many brilliant mind's out there that I only had the chance to talk with once I'd love to talk with them again but I don't think that's possible." She looked at him with a smile as she thought, I might also want to meet people I find amusing and fun, not just intelligent.
His 'of course' was not an expected answer for her so she had o pause for less then a second to answer after she finished giggling. "Ah good I'd feel bad not knowing your name. Names are very special thing's after all, they can sometimes define us. Though I don't think my name defines me, I was named after my father after all and I'm nothing like him. Though maybe just a little since we both love to travel. Ah I'm going of course again, though that's fine when I only want to learn not caring what I learn it's not so good when it's important information like a name. Calling each other by name can show closeness, or intimacy you know. I once heard that there is a country very far from here that if you call each other by just your names, no mister or miss involved, you must be very intimate or close. Ah again I loose track. So kind sir what is your name?" She grinned at him happily waiting for his minimal word response like he normally gives.

"Hmmm...." a nod, "Yes, there are some that I would like to meet again." A pause, that she filled with more questions, "Strange how the world works, isn't it?" Asking a question of his own.
There were indeed others that he wished to see again, thought in most cases it was better that he did not, as he kept some very important as well as some very dangerous secrets, and not meeting those Soquili again lessened the chances that he would be hunted for his knowledge by others that sought his secrets. But that was life. Sometimes it was just not meant to be. There were always more Soquili to meet, so there was no need to be sad over the ones that would not be met again.
Ah, there it was. She had finally asked for his name, once she finished giggling. And so politely! He almost chuckled himself, but instead offered a small bow of the head and replied with, "My name, Livi, is Betula. Named for the trees I was born among and look like. Birch trees." There. Some information for the knowledge-hungry mare. He was sure she would like that small gift, of sorts.
