Majinuni walked along aimlessly through the Graveyard, not really caring exactly where he was or where he was heading. His bright, yellow eyes darted from left to right, as if he was looking for something. A small movement, perhaps? Anything that would tug at his natural curiousity and cause his boredom to end. The painfully-thin cub let out a yawn, his jaw clicking a couple of times as his mouth opened and closed. "This is no fun at all..." He moaned, a frown appearing on his usually grinning face.

User ImageNot far away there was a stir of movement as a small animal approached a fresher looking clump of bones not far away. Not that small mind, it was a hyena pup about the same size as that of the cheetah.

With his nose to the ground and his tail in the air, Rasuli trotted over to the bones excitedly. Ah here would be some! He could smell it now as he got closer to the ivory - marrow. The tasty blood and jelly found within bones was a treat and one that often got overlooked by vultures. All you had to do was find a reasonably fresh carcass and snap the larger leg bones. It had been a trick his mother taught him.

Using his teeth he pulled a suitable bone out from the collection and wedged it under his paw before setting to work snapping it. A task that was possible, but not too easy, for even an older pup such as himself.

After a few more minutes of wandering, the cheetah cub's dry, pink nose caught the strong scent of something that he recognised, because somehow they all smelt the same to him. It was a hyena, and judging by the sound that accompanied the scent, it was feeding on his bones. Grinning, the cub followed the scent, his eyes opened wide. "Well well well...what do we have here?" He mused, a light chuckle escaping his mouth as he glared at the hyena from where he had appeared just a few feet away.

The young hyena's head snapped up at the voice, he'd been too engaged with his bone that he'd let his guard down. A soft growl came to his throat, both at the cheetah and in reprimand of his mistake. Can't let things like that happen. Fortunatly though, as he quickly eyed up the other animal, there wasn't any great size difference between the two young preditors. If it came to it he was sure he'd be able to handle himself against the feline.

"Well well yourself!" He scoffed, not moving from his meal of marrow. "As for your question, I should ask you the same thing! What are you doing in hyena territory?"

The sick-looking cheetah chuckled as he stalked the hyena, his head lowered. "It really doesn't matter why I'm here...I think the real question is..." Majinuni trailed off and then burst out laughing. "What are you going to do about it?" The cheetah's eyes flashed wildly as he laughed, knowing full-well that he could out-run this beast, he was content to stay here and have his fun for as long as it lasted.

Rasuli did pick up the weakness in the other, he was thin and undernourished. Hardly fit to go one-on-one with a hyena that had been enjoying a more regular feeding now he was with a pack. "Me? I could blow at you and you look ready to fall down like a pile of twigs." He replied, his eyebrow raised at the weird laughter. It was insane and annoying and geting on his nerves. Obviously this feline wasn't the full quid.

Never letting his eyes leave the other animal, he smirked and closed his teeth around the bone he'd picked up. With a turn of his head and a crunch of his jaws he cracked it, making him grin all the more. It was obviously meant to threaten or impress the cheetah.

"I could do that to your leg you know, with half the effort it looks like." He nodded at his lithe frame. "And I suppose why doesn't matter, I can only assume you're here because you're looking to get maimed. Now get lost." He suddenly growled and darted his head forward with a snap of his jaws.

"Oh, I'm really scared..." Majinuni smirked as the hyena tried to threaten him. "Big, bad hyena is going to have my pretty little head..." Laughing even harder, he beared his dirty, yellow fangs which were caked and stained with dried blood. His face then suddenly turned deadly serious, but he still had that insane look in his eyes. "I'm not sure that you know what you're getting into..."

"I wouldn't call it pretty... or little." The canine yapped back. "Ugly and pretty big with that ego you seem to have. I'm surprised you can even lift it off the ground with that puny body of your's." He let out a small cackle of hyena-laughs.

As the cheetah bared his ill-kept fangs, Rasuli raised his lips to show off his too. Gnawing on bones all day did have the advantage of keeping them fairly clean - for a wild animal of course.

"Getting into? It's you who doesn't know what he's gotten himself into. These are Mafa's lands, hyena territory... swarming with the rest of my pack. I think you'd better get going." He began to snarl, the thicker and longer fur on his neck bristling as he lowered his head so as not to expose his neck.

"Mafa? Mafa?!" The seemingly mental cub almost fell over laughing as he heard that name. "That mangey, disgusting beast owns nothing! Well, not for long anyway..." Majinuni lowered his head and began skulking towards the hyena, hissing and giggling as he went. "Ausha...he owns these lands...surely you've heard of him?"

Rasuli stood his ground, paws set in firm and his stance tensing ready. He was happy for a scrape, even if it was just to wipe that ridiculous grin off the feline's face.

His insults of the hyena's alpha only inflamed the desire more and it took a moment to stop growling and answer back. "How dare you call her that! She rules here and when she heards of your comments she'll be all the more pleased when I bring back your bloodied pelt to make her bed!"

"Ausha? I've heard of no one called that! Some great owner then... if only you follow them and know of them. But you've heard of Mafa, obviously she has the reputation then. And is renown here!"

He waited as the feline came closer, talking still. "Who is this Ausha? Another filthy spotted rat like yourself? Well they have no chance of taking anything from my alpha. Except taking their sorry a** out of here and back into feline territories."

Then just as he felt the enemy was within striking distance he suddenly stopped his talk and lunged forward, aiming to take him off-guard. Head down and teeth bared, he snapped and clenched his jaws at anything that might fall between them though he was trying for one of the cheetah's forelegs.

Tucked away, out of the eye's range, stood Mafa, the head hyena of the graveyard. She had had her eye on this little encounter since the damn cheetah floundered his way into her territory. She scoffed at the fact that he thought he could get anything accomplished by coming here, both lions and hyena were mortal enemies of cheetahs for both lions and hyenas were immesly stronger than the stringy feline made for speed. They had no choice but to run if a bigger animal wanted anything of theirs. It humored Mafa that this little runt had such a big mouth.

But his isults to her, to Rasuli, just boiled her blood. What a thick headed neanderthal this little cub was. If she had been down there, the dust would've been already soaked in his pathetic blood. And now what was this? He spoke of Ausha. Ausha was nothing. He had no command over any of this dead terrain, not in her eyes. He was a terribly weak creature, he had been her first taste of lion blood, had to be saved by his mother. The wimp couldn't even stick up for himself.

Mafa shuddered in her rage, her vision blurring slightly. But she calmed herself, and restrained herself from running down there and tearing that insolent youth a new one. Rasuli was holding his own, defending his alpha oh so proudly. The alpha watched him with cold eyes, yes, he'd prove to be valuble. If he'd have a tough time with this cheetah runt, she'd go down there and do it herself, but for now, this was still Rasuli's game.

The adolescent wild dog climbed up the hill of bones. He hadn't been in this graveyard long but the pickings were good. Still he pondered whether to continue his search or to stay. This graveyard, though still a bit creepy, felt like home with the scent of hyena everywhere. Glaring at a bone fragment, he forced his loneliness away. No, he was not a hyena.

Haveo reached the top, he stood tall and alert, deep indigo eyes surveying the area. Below him, he heard two voices. Not bothering to conceal himself he watched. A cheetah and hyena. He smirked, a fight would most definately be interesting. Lowering himself onto a large tusk, he continued to watch the spat.

Though, this unwillingly brought back memories. In his heart we was lonely, eager to be among a pack. Haveo could not really survive without one, currently he was just barely getting by.

Sneaking into the bones her cousin adored and she found herself to blend into nicely, Cushti Bok's nose twitched as she smelled.. Another wild dog? Her black and white form moved amid the skulls, ribbs, spines, and other bones as she crept up near the other Dog. Green eyes glimmered in glee when she realised... It was a male! And then her eyes fell on the cheetah and hyena that were arguing. Ears flattening back, she backed up into a shadow, tossing a bone - albeight a very small bone - at the male to get his attention.

Haveo looked up from where he lay. Next to his paw lay a bone, one that was not there before. Indigo eyes narrowed. He was being watched. Standing, the adolescent turned to find the source, not fully turning away from the spat. Eyes closed he searched for a scent. He caught one. Not a hyena, not a cheetah, it was...eyes snapped open. Could it be? "Show yourself. I don't wish to play games."

The piebald female stepped out of the shadows. "Oh, but games are fun, are they not? Unless you want to play it with the hyenas, which isn't wise..." Eyes the color of the light from the geisers glanced at the shadows. "The pack alpha may be about for all we know, after all..." She trailed off, then looked at Haveo. "One does not see too many other wild dogs around here. May I have the pleasure of knowing your name?"
