******** solar powered laptops. it's been done. besides, with the screen open, the panels wouldn't be in direct sunlight anyway, and if you put them on the part near where the keys go, your hands would be blocking the light 90% of the time anyway, and how often do you leave your laptop outside anyway.
if anything, add some solar panels to the bag you carry the laptop around in, and have that act as a portable charging station.
