Which current gen console is the best (and why)? Xbox 360 vs Playstation 3 vs Nintendo Wii. Please no profanity, name calling, or anything else against the rules. KEEP IT CLEAN!

Well I gotta give it to the Wii. When I look at the Wii I see games that ALL gamers can enjoy playing, games that young and old can come and play together, not just trigger happy FPS gamers. Nintendo's target consumers is from kids as young as five to adults in their 40's and even 50's, probably older, while I see PS3 and 360 just focusing on the older gamers mostly, which isn't bad but when you want to dominate the gaming industry you have to work to all aspects. There are a few games on PS3 and 360 that are fun for all audiences, but Nintendo does it best, that's why there better. Another reason is that Nintendo pays respects to the older generation of gamers by putting up the old NES, SNES, Sega, and other older system's games on the Wii shop channel, so the older generation can relive the games that they loved when they were kids, and show the younger generation what games were the best back then. I could be wrong but I don't see Sony or Microsoft doing that.

Really depends on what you're asking for.
If it's best in graphics or pure power, it'll come down to PS3 vs 360 of which the PS3 will most likely win.
If it's best in entertainment, that'll be split between multiplayer and face-to-face competition with family/friends. If it's multiplayer, PS3 or Wii will most likely win since their multiplayer services are free. If it's face-to-face competition with family/friends, the Wii will most likely emerge as the better of the three.
As far as I know it, the 360 seems to be most famous for FPS genre games, since that's mainly all I ever hear about between 360 players. Of course there are a few gems here and there on the 360 such as the Fable series, Saints Row, etc.
The PS3 seems to have a wider range of genre games that have received pretty good attention such as Demon Souls, God of War 3, inFamous, Heavy Rain, Trinity Universe, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves, etc.
The Wii belongs to the oldest gaming company among the three and sports many characters of which we've grown up seeing often such as Samus Aran, Link, Mario, Luigi, Bowser, Princess Peach, Kirby, Donkey Kong, Fox, Wario, Pokemon, etc.
Finally, when it comes down to what some consider hardcore gaming, the PS3 or 360 will most likely win in that regard since the Wii is more focused on providing entertainment to people of all ages.
Now that I'm done with all the bullshit, my personal opinion would come down to the PS3. I also own the Wii. Trust me, it's not very fun playing alone on a Wii. It's really more of a two person+ gaming system while the PS3/360 keeps more to the solo player path.

I just find it hilarious how they attempt to do what Nintendo did several years ago. And with what I'm hearing about how horrible it is to control things compared to the PS3 Move, I don't really see why Microsoft bothered to enter the motion gaming industry instead of constructing some sort of new prototype console for the next console wars.
The Wii pretty much dominated for a few years in sales compared with the other two, so in terms of revenue the Wii won a good majority of it. And now the PS3 is coming back with a vengeance. I have no idea on the 360 end though. They could be runner-up or dead last.

I've always been a huge Xbox fan. Being a hardcore gamer I think it's the best out there. Although I admit that Nintendo has the family market. Also, that Microsoft fails with Kinnect. Microsoft is known for hard-core titles and I think they should stick to that. Well my vote goes to Xbox.

Nintendo have had a very successful time with the Wii, compared to other consoles I'd imagine a Wii's cost to produce is far lower than the production costs of the PS3 and 360. Plus they aimed at the whole spectrum of gamers, which would earn them a ton of cash. Nintendo are genius! I'd say the one thing I'd wish to see more of is Playstation adverts, they're either awesome Nintendo ads, or the annoying: "Available on Xbox360" I Hate those adverts aggressively!

Of the three...I'd have to say at least in 1 aspect Wii is the winner. Why? Well you don't see Nintendo trying to add a hardware option to go all Hi-Def or offer a HD disc player. Instead Sony and Microsoft are suddenly now moving to adopt motion-based gaming when they were trying to tout their systems as better than the Wii and downgrading it as a gimick.
Really the console wars have more or less ended in the respect that gamers have finally accepted that either Microsoft or Sony will have some exclusive games and Nintendo is a different market console. None has really proven better. The super-beefy PS3s have been downgraded in power and extras, the 360's HDDVD bid was a bust, and Nintendo is raking in cash this gen compared to last.

For me... I'm caught between Wii and PS3, because they have the games I like most, I never really cared much for the 360's games.

360's community spends over 1billion hours combined a month on xbox live, thats more said that the either the ps3 or wii.
