You are in a 17th French city, more specifically, an old French capitol which disappeared off the map in one night. This place is called Reville, and many interesting things happen there.
Reville is much like any other French town, just busier, but it too has its secrets, secrets it won't share with anyone else, not even the government. These secrets, they have a name, and they are creatures called chains. Chains are nightmarish creatures, each with a different ability, but even so, they each share the same lust for human blood. These chains come from a place called the Abyss, a nightmarish Wonderland far, far worse than any hell you can imagine.
They need contractors to stabilize their shaky existence, that is, if they want to leave Abyss. To leave Abyss, most chains take on a human form (though their human forms usually have something to do with Alice in Wonderland and Through the Looking Glass, and as a warning, there are already a Mad Hatter and a Cheshire chain, so when creating a character profile, please don't use either one of those) and promise humans something special...the ability to change the past.
An illegal contract (legal ones weren't invented until a hundred years late after the role play) can be done in only one way, to exchange blood. Now most chains, when in their human form, find the easiest way to do that is through what humans call a kiss.
Moving on from the concept of illegal contracts and chains (it will be more thoroughly explained throughout the role play), in this old fashioned world, the love between females is a strictly forbidden thing. However, many females have found a way around that, if they become a master or a servant, than it is their own decision on who they love. (example, a normal female couple would be executed, but masters and servant are allowed to do whatever they want, whether it's servant and servant loving each other, master and master, or master and servant, it doesn't matter, they are free to do what they want with each other)

She has a more afraid, weak side which she only shows to the people she trusts. Bio/history: Alice is a looking glass reflection of her younger twin, Alice, who ran away and joined an all girl's school. This Alice is the Harmony of Abyss and is what created it, while her twin is the Intention of Abyss and is the will of it. When they were younger, they created this nightmarish world in hopes of a place to escape to, a place they could play together in when no one was looking. However, as time grew by, the Abyss became a distorted, nightmare world where no sunlight nor noise ever reached. Chains, which were originally humans and the creatures that inhabited this perfect world, became twisted and sought only to kill. This perfect world was now out of control, and as it grew more twisted, so did the two Alices. They became the queens of this world, until one day, a man named Glen Baskerville, saw what had happened, and had locked Alice away in a tower to never be seen by humanity while her sister had escaped and lost her memories. Years of being in that tower changed Alice, she began to become afraid, afraid of being alone, afraid of others, but more importantly, afraid of herself. She no longer knew what to believe and worked as a servant in that tower her whole life, just her and her dolls, all alone in that tower. She is now waiting for a new master to come and ave her from the nightmare world she had created and the other personality that was born with it. Appearance:

 Alice glared at the black haired man. She hated him, she hated all men. They were all the same, forcing woman to do whatever they wanted, like puppeteers. Well, Alice wouldn't let herself become someone's puppet.
She threw and threw dolls at him, not one hitting. She screamed at the man to get out, to leave her alone, but alas, what can a small servant girl do?
After a couple of hours, the horrible man left her to be in her tower all alone, taking away her cat as punishment for the horrible job she did today. "Screw him, that b*****d. He'll see, one day, I'll get out of this tower, and he'll be the first one I murder." She grumbled to herself, looking at the mess she had created, but she was too lazy to clean it up.
Being the curious girl she was, Alice headed towards the tower window, like every day, scoping out any signs of living life that might be able to help her escape. "Damn it, why can't I get out of this place? Why won't someone come and save me?" She grumbled, resting her head on the windowsill. Honestly, she didn't care if whoever found her would want to make her their servant, as long as she could leave this horrid place, she would be fine with it, having a master.

However, she was captured and became a slave to a horrible man. Everyday from then on she received beatings and was forced to do things with him that she didn’t want to. But one day the man got drunk and fell asleep while he was taking advantage of her and so she made her move. Now she roams city to city enjoying her freedom never to return to the city where she is now a fugitive for murder. Night was falling as Lilith was jumping from roof to roof looking at the beautiful sky and horizon. Now that she was free to do what she wants, she spent most of her time on the roofs of buildings just to stare at the open sky. Lilith stood up after awhile to stretch her limbs and began to walk towards the edge of the roof getting ready to take off again.

Alice continued staring at the lush forests surrounding the tower. It's not like anyone will come anyways, this place was far out of the city and it would be extremely hard to find, even if you were looking for it. Of course, leave it to Glen to choose such a secluded area to lock her away in. "Damn it, no one's ever going to come! I should have known!" Alice growled as she climbed onto the windowsill, her small frame standing on top of it. Looking carefully at it, the drop was much higher than she thought and if she tried to jump she would surely die. She crawled back inside her tower and made herself some tea while her eyes stayed fixated on the window, still hoping.

Lilith dashed from house to house making sure no one would see her. As she reached the end of the city, she came across a dark looking forest and began dashing from tree to tree. After several minutes of jumping from tree to tree, she decided to see how much further she had and climbed onto the top of the highest tree she could find and perched herself on the highest limb. She slowly looked around and saw nothing but more trees. Lilith sighed as her stomach began to growl and began to look for something she could eat.

Raven Quietly Walks through the city. Suddenly the road stopped. Raven looks up at the large trees leading into the forest. She sighed and started walking through the forest. After walking for 30 or more minutes she came across a large Tower. She Looks up at The Window, She Smiles. "Hello?! Is anybody there?!!" Raven Shouted trying to get a response.

Alice contuined sipping at her tea. It wasn't very well made and was VERY bitter, but that was the only thing she had besides some cookies which she was positive that Glen had confiscated along with her cat. She thought she heard a small voice out the window, and ran just to check if it really was someone else besides the two boys which Glen would occasionally send over to play with her, though she hated them. They were rude and always picked fights with her, crying when she won. She peered down, and could see a dark figure down on the forest floor. "Who is it?" Alice hollered, not really able to see who it was from such a great height.

As Lilith continued to look for food, she could hear people yelling from a distance. She hesitated and then decided to see what was going on so she quickly dashed towards the sound. She moved so quickly that she appeared to be a blurr and arrived on the otherside of the tower in a matter of seconds. She hoped into a nearby tree and slowly moved from tree to tree until she was behind the girl that was shouting, there she sat and watched unnoticed.

"I am Raven. Im sorry for bothering You But its about to storm..and I..." Raven sighed. She was never good at talking..even when it was simple to say that she had ran away from her parents purely because they wanted her to marry an old fool and That she needed a place to stay for the night.

Alice looked down at the raven haired girl, taking note of the storm clouds building over the horizon. "Sure, but....you'll have to figure a way in, the only door has a seal to prevent people from coming in and out without Glen's permission, and even if you break the seal, there's a spiraling staircase which even Master Glen has trouble climbing. Also, there's not very much food, just some tea and stale cookies. But if you still want to, you're welcome to come in and all." Alice shouted down to the girl, making sure she got her directions, pointing to the front of the tower, where it seemed like there was no door at all. "There's a door right there, if you can concentrate hard enough, it should appear, and if it appears, something might come after you, but if you defeat it, the door will open!"

Lilith watched the Raven try to make the door appear. "Hmmm.... Something that might come after her.... maybe this will be my chance," she thought to herself. The sky was growing dark and the wind began to pick up, she could sense the storm was getting closer at an abnormal fast rate. As she watched Raven, her hand grasped the handle of her sword, ready to kill whatever could appear.
