AMITYVILLE ACADEMY ENROLLMENT FORM Name: Eracs Nicknames: Hey, get back in the shed Gender: Male Age: 16
Faction/Race Monster - Scarecrow
Personality: Eracs is similar to that of a young child. Age-wise he never developed that far because he was left in a shed for most of his life. Living, alone, in a shed would do a few things to a monster. He has got a bit of a short attention span, if it isn't super interesting of important then he doesn't want to be a part of it. On that note he gets bored easily and things tend to happen then. Either he'll start rambling on about something completely different or he will start to tinker with something (aka just take it apart since he has no idea how to put it back together). The idea of being afraid of something doesn't sit with him either, he just doesn't understand. Eracs isn't very smart. A head full of straw would do that too you. Although he isn't smart in the sense of a genius, he does love to learn. He never learned anything properly so he'll take any chance he would get, well he doesn't like books all the much (he never learned how to read, darn you Breck). The boil does love to tinker though but can't wrap his head around why the work. Since he 'grew' up with little contact (really don't want to know what else lives in that shed) he's pretty much in awe of everything, from the creatures to anything else he'd come across. Eracs doesn't understand much about the structure of their society, which gets him in some trouble, nor why ghouls are so different from him. He's finding he's pretty shy around the ghouls for some reason. This boil is one of the most happy go lucky monster's you'll ever find and is nice to everyone. He can't understand why some people can be mean. Eracs asks a lot of questions, he's eager to know things (doesn't remember it well though). He's kind of like a hyper puppy that just follows you around and wants to stick his nose in EVERYTHING.
Like any scarecrow his original purpose was to protect something. His something was Breck's small garden. All he had to do was scare the crows away, easy thing for a creature of Halloween right? Poor guy never stood a chance and ended up attracting the crows. He was never into the acting scary part and the crows learned it quickly. They'd peck at him more then the garden! Eracs had to be retired to the Shed. He lived among the other ... odd ... thing in the shed. While there he entertained himself by playing with the various things there. His most favorite thing to do was take things apart to see how the worked. Sometimes he would even figure out how to put them back together! Most times he did not though but at least he was able to take it a part. Eventually he made it out but the poor student helping him didn't.
He likes Breck and longs to go back to the shed to pick up some of his things he left. He isn't sure how Breck feels about him but hopes to ask him one day why he was stuck in the shed and just didn't enroll him in the school instead. Sadly the horror stories of trying to get in aren't to nice. Those years of the crows picking on him didn't sit well with him, he's highly afraid of any type of bird now. Almost always he now has a murder of crows following him. (Really it's annoying to sit in class cause you can feel their beady eyes staring from the window) Luckily he has enough of an understanding that they won't follow him into class rooms (you know how hard it is to make friends already?).
Why are they enrolled in Amityville Academy? He escaped Breck's shed and enrolled himself. Wasn't much else for him to do. Plus he gets to learn and make friends so he's super excited about that. Also, he heard he gets his own room, or at least a bed (a real bed!).
FEAR:Mind Murder: His own fear of crows gets pushed onto the opponent for a few moments, allowing him to most likely escape or make if a few feet further away. If done correctly (based on a dice roll) the opponent has a temporary lapse in seeing or hearing. This is determined by what year he is in. First year: Opponent's vision will be clouded by a flock of illusionary crows. They are not really at all, so not tangible and seem to fly right up in the opponent's face, making it difficult to see. Lasts for a few moments and based on a dice roll. Later years: Perhaps the caw of the crow will take more effect, allowing for a short time of hearing lose. Maybe too more of a blindness or effects last longer.
Physical Description: Eye Colour: black? he just has holes Hair Colour/Style: depends on his head, if a burlap sack then some straw hair under a hat Skin Colour: he's a scarecrow, so um he doesn't have any Clothing Style/Colours: beat up left over clothes that Breck found lying around. stitched up probably. Extra: Most likely made from random tool parts, straw/crabgrass. Fav idea for the arms is long sticks from trees (so not coping the beginning of nightmare) one of this hands only has four fingers, five on the other. Really just a beatup skinny scarecrow. For the head pumpkin? Burlap sack? idk up to colorist I kind of like the ref (which is from batman so not just like, the idea) for the possible hair/burlap sack. So it's all tied together. Needs some sort of hat to keep the hair on. The second ref is just cool cause I like the mouth he has. References: lolbatman and THIS awesome or cause it's amazing. THIS ONE is just the perfectess ref by pach.
Natural scarecrow ability: Speaking to crows. They don't like to listen much : / Ende gave me permission for him to have been a creation of Breck.

>o> Fear Power suggestion!!
Okay, so like, there's this obscure myth thing I tried to google and failed miserably, but I've heard of it described as a "Doubling Rook"- It's been used in the comic Fables to protect the "Obscure fable internment camp" thing, as well as being referenced in the web comic Skin Deep- As I recall it goes like this:
A Doubling Rook is a crow that suddenly becomes two crows which suddenly become four crows which suddenly become eight crows, etc etc until it's a horrible tangled mass of snapping beaks and raking claws and feathers.
His fear power might be that he can turn any crow into a doubling rook, and the intensity is decided by his year/dice roll/etc how many times it doubles? >o>
IT SEEMED FITTING FOR A SCARECROW. And gives him a total excuse to have an undetermined number of them on him at any given time. XD
Can't wait to see how this guy develops!

@Bilious: Yay I understand your Fables reference 8D
I think a scarecrow dude is a really awesome idea, though I was thinking perhaps a natural ability he actually have bird/winged creatures afraid or more wary of him. Since a scarecrow's just is to scare crows.... Just an idea! 8D

I betcha crows and scarecrows have some pact that keeps scarecrows in business and crows in corn. rofl
Unless it's a srs bsns scarecrow... idk I think it would depend on the specific scarecrow XDD ((Always loved failcrows like in Wizard of Oz))

Ffffff, that is so awesome and creepy! I really don't have any colors in mind still. Part of his shirt totally looks flannel (red?) and darker versions of colors I guess. <3
