Alexis and Ilroche. You shall start in New York City and head to Erebus's lair. Be prepared, as the shadows are dangerous and the journey will be difficult.

Alexis appeared on the top of Half-Blood Hill. She waited for the other demigod that was going on the quest with her. I hope it's Ilroche...wait, did I just think that?! Alexis shook the thought out of her head. We're just friends...I hope. She thought back to when the they were fighting, and when he said that the other part of him had a crush on her. I don't really want to face him right now... She ran her fingers through her long, black hair.

Ilroché shadow traveled to the top of Half Blood Hill. Why was I chosen for a quest? I don't even know the objective... And with my luck my fellow quester will be Alexis... That would be awkward... He looked up and noticed one person also standing on top of the hill. It was Alexis. Oops. I spoke too soon. This is going to be very awkward...... Hopefully we'll get in a fight again. I'm anxious to kill her... since she means something to you. We probably will, thanks to you. You're the one that told her about my small crush. He was still mad about that. He couldn't help it. He felt like he had been stabbed in the back by a friend. Well, not really a friend... More of an arch enemy that happens to know my every thought. Damn you. Haha. I can't wait to see what she does. Ilroché cleared his throat and attempted a smile. "Uh. Hi. Are you my partner on this quest?" Way to talk like an idiot... Shut up. Hopefully she doesn't even remember...

Alexis tensed. It was that voice again. The voice that belonged to him. Her heart started pounding. She whipped around. The last person I wanted to be with...oh great. Alexis thought. "If you're talking about the quest that you have to go to Erebus, then yes." Alexis didn't really want to talk to him.

"Yeah... That would be it..." Ilroché's nerves were a bit wrecked. He was supposed to go on this quest... with Alexis... and no one else? He bit his lip and stayed silent. He didn't really want to talk and had nothing to say. He couldn't just come out and say 'oh hey, do you happen to remember that I might possibly have a crush on you?' No. That would make things more awkward than they needed to be.

Alexis had felt the sudden change of aura. Something's going on. He's...nervous. She faced him and stared into his eyes with her intense purple ones. "Something's bothering you." It wasn't a question. It was a statement of fact, and quite frankly, Alexis was a little concerned and curious.

"Yeah. You could say that." Ilroché said, admitting his dilemma. There was no way he would admit to what it was, even if she did guess at it.

Hm...strange. Alexis kept on boring her eyes into his, trying to read the truth out of his eyes. She knew that obviously he wasn't going to tell her what it was. Alexis sighed, giving up for the moment, but also promising herself that she will find out what it was. "Let's go. Before the whole world gets covered in shadows." With ease, she hauled her backpack on her shoulder and walked off, not waiting for him.

That determined look in her eyes was a little creepy. Hopefully she wasn't promising to find out what was bugging him. Ilroché stared after her for a few seconds before realizing that he was supposed to go with her. Jogging to catch up to her he asked: "So what exactly is our mission?" Sure sure. Start a casual conversation that will make things so much better... Be quiet. You're such a bother. Let me focus on my mission. You don't even know what your mission is.... That's beside the point... I'm trying to find it out. Yeah. You have fun with that. I'll pop in when I'm needed... and when I'm not. He laughed and it creepily echoed inside Ilroché's head. Stay out of this. You've wrecked it enough. Make me. Oh wait, I forgot. You can't. He laughed again, only a bit more creepy this time.

Alexis was silent for a while. Then, she spoke up. "We're supposed to find Erebus and somehow convince him to control the shadows that are murdering people. Speaking of which, a girl was strangled and almost died from the weird shadows. It was worse then the time she and I fought." Alexis furled her eyebrows. "Oh, that reminds me. What really happened on the day we...fought? I mean, what's with the...erm, the other you?"

"Well that's odd. I've never heard of shadows strangling anyone." Ilroché stated, thinking about how it would even be possible. Until her question came forth. It threw him off guard so much that he felt like he'd been thrown off a cliff and he was now drowning in the sea below it. Yuck. Water. That is not what I want on my mind... I don't want to have to think about either of these topics. He glanced at Alexis nervously. He knew she would expect an answer. And he couldn't lie to her either. "Oh... him. He's a bit of a problem... in many ways." Hey! I am not! I'm only what you truly feel. As if on cue, the images of that only his other side could imagine filled his mind. He looked to Alexis and only saw her bloody form, lying on the ground, decapitated. And him, standing above her, his sword dripping crimson liquid. "Stop that! That is not what I truly feel!" He said aloud to the personality taking over his mind.

Alexis gave Ilroche a weird look but didn't say anything. Like being possessed by something, She thought. I sort of feel bad for him. "Does it ever get annoying? Or helpful?" ((Where are we going with this?!))

"Very annoying, but to sum it all up in understandable terms: He's the half of me the loves killing things, people... whatever has a life force. He takes over my body every time he wants to fight and kill. And I'm powerless to stop him." For once, his head was silent. It was like his other half had disappeared, at least momentarily. He shook his head and cleared his sight, seeing no more blood. Weird. That's never happened before. Hello? Where did you disappear to? No response. For once, he felt alone. Half-empty. "Sorry about that." It felt odd apologizing to her. He wasn't used to apologizing... unless he'd almost killed someone. That was the only time it felt necessary. And why did he just give away his secret with no apparent restraint? He felt an odd tingling in his heart, too. What the hell was it supposed to mean?
((I dunno. I was hoping Alexis would pick up on the 'truly feel' thing. They should actually do the quest. You're the quest leader, so what's supposed to happen?))

"No need to apologize." Alexis didn't know what to say. Ilroche almost killed her...but, that was the other one, right? This was the nice one. She shook her head and tried to smile. "We have to go. Do you have any idea where the nearest bus station is and where Erebus's temple is?" ((I actually don't know...but okay. Let's do this. ^^))

"No idea. For either place." Ilroché glanced to his left and right, seeing nothing that he deemed useful. "Do you have a map of this area?"
