It seemed to take forever before a tall, older man came out of the room, heading toward the waiting room where he was all but certain that Tallulah and company was still waiting. The teens still hadn't been allowed to come in until Xavier woke up by his own endeavors, and Damian had been allowed entrance sorely because he was the boy's father. He'd promised to bring back news, though, and he did just that. "He's awake." He announced, looking much less shaken that a man who had just seen his only son laying down unconscious in an hospital bed, cast on his arm, would likely be. But then, was keeping one's calm hereditary ? It would explain so many things indeed. "The nurse said you could all come in to see him, but try to keep quiet. Try not to tease him too hard, kids, he's not looking very hot." Damian looked at Tallulah then. "Call me if anything happen ?" She would. He had a complete trust in that. "Ill drop by later tonight, there's a few things I need to do. You take good care of him while im gone, alright ?" And, with a polite nod and a smile to the small group of young ladies, Damian Avery was on his way. -------------------- Damian had been right on one point, at least.
Xavier was down in the dumps. Pretty hard. He hadn't moved from the bed, clutching his cast with his valid hand as if trying to hide it from view.
Te be honest, he didn't feel like seeing anyone, but it couldn't be helped. Tallulah wouldn't take long in coming. What he didn't know yet, was the fact that she was not alone.
He'd failed. He'd failed pretty damn hard. And he hated every inch of himself for it, though it manifested mostly into a blank expression Tallulah would recognize all too well. Xavier was beating himself up mentally, while letting nearly nothing show of it in the process.
It wasn't a good headspace. It might require kicking. Who knew ?

All this time Bell couldn't have been more eager to see Xavier. The moment that they were told they could, she wasn't so sure she should. Bell could think of a million reasons why she shouldn't - the top two being pride (as if he'd really want her seeing him like this, right?) and well,...he didn't know that she was Bellatrix. Would he be hurt that she'd just 'run away' like that when the battle started? Of course he'd soon find out the reason why, but then again at the time she hadn't known he was a senshi. Shouldn't she, not knowing that, risked her idenity to protect him? It was all a bunch of convoluted what-ifs and supposition. Bell's mind was good at doing that - over thinking and over complicating matters. In the end, she'd wait till Tallulah had gone in to see him first. But she'd be there...right outside the door, getting herself and her worries under control.

"No, Bell," said Tallulah, grabbing her friend's hand. She gave a stony look to all three of her assembled teammates. "We're all going in together. I was - I was talking to Zay about joining the team, and after tonight - I think it's fair enough to say he's one of us."
Tallulah knocked lightly on the door, and then entered without waiting for a response. "Hey," she said lightly, motioning for the other girls to fan out against the wall. She gestured to his casted arm. "What's the prognosis?" she asked. "How many weeks do you have to wear that?"
It was rough to take time off patrol - she'd had to do it once for grounding, but a serious injury would undoubtedly be worse. You could go stir crazy, sitting in your room every night, staring at your senshi phone, watching the scan function to track your friends' movements as they criss-crossed the city.
"Did you see who did this to you?" she added. There was no time like the present to assemble a hit list.

-She didn't know the boy or the senshi. But the team was the team and between that and her general motherlike concern for just about anyone Aurora was there and ready to go in. She'd followed at the end of the line of the small group.
Finding a place against the wall she gave a soft smile to the boy whose features she was taking in. She could only wonder where he'd been in the room to get his injuries. The thought of his arm being broken while being trampled around the coffin brought a mild shiver to her. Silent and attentive she listened and waited, fidgeting softly with one of her ivory braids.-

He didn't turn until Tallulah first spoke, and then finally he turned to look at them. Tallulah, Bell (Oh... god, what was Bell doing there ?!), Maia (he needed to get her name, he really couldn't just call the red-haired senshi of song Maia forever), and a fourth lady that he could not recognize at all. Probably one of Tallulah's friends.
There was some bruising on his right cheek where he'd also hit the wall, but that was all that was visible. His valid hand still wasn't leaving the cast, which was a dark blue fiberglass. He couldn't help but wonder who stepped in and said blue. "Six weeks." He looked like someone had just announced his untimely demise. "I don't think they'll let me work like this..." There was a double-meaning there. With him only knowing that two of the girls there were senshi, it couldn't be helped.
The last question required a little more thought, and his eyes closed. "...Some kind of blue-haired b***h with crazy moose antlers ?" He finally said. He sounded like he was crazy, but that was the last thing he'd seen.
He opened his eyes and then looked at Bell again. "...I think they wrecked the costume trying to get to my arm." He seemed completely unaware that the costume was probably the last of Bell's worries.

Blue-haired b***h with moose horns - now on mental hit list - got it. Blue-haired chicks everywhere, beware. When his gaze turned, next, to her, Bell felt her feet take several brisk steps towards him before she knelt down on her knees with her arms propped on the edge of the hospital bed. There was a bittersweet smile on her face as she shook her head, "I don't think they'll be missing it anytime soon." Costumes went missing from the theatre every so often. It was hard to keep track of inventory sometimes. Even if they did come to her and mention something about it, Bell could easily replace it.

Maia walked in with the other's and stood againt the wall listening about what Tallulah had said. The boy was joining the team, which meant he was a senshi, though Lily had already figured that. Lula, Bell, and ths boy were discussing what happened and while that was great she felt extremely awkward. She was just standing there and she really did not know who the boy was.
She frowned slighty feeling introductions should have come first, so she walked over to the door and closed it, before walking over to the bed.
"I'm Liliana," she said politely, "It's nice to meet you, though I wish it had been under better circumstances."
Lily wondered if she should give her senshi name, was not sure if she should. They were in a hospital, she wasn't sure the nurses or doctors would knock. After a moment she looked to the door and decided to chance it.
"I am also Sailor Maia," she said softly.

-Taking after Lily's lead Aurora approached the bed too, offering a mild look of empathy. She had spent so long in a coma that she could relate.. but then.. she hadn't been awake twiddling her thumbs nearly as long. After a moment she offered what she assumed to be words of encouragement.- "There are plenty of jobs to be done that don't require physical apptitude. Not all is lost."
"Aurora Namid" -And then more quietly.- "Sailor Polaris, senshi of magnetism" -It was a badass sphere, she couldn't help not mention it.-

Tallulah grinned and settled into a chair by the bedside. She tucked her legs up under her and pointed to the girls in turn. "Lily," she explained quietly, "Also known as Maia. Aurora - Polaris, and you know Bell. It's short for Bellatrix."
She sighed, trying to think of the best way to explain. "They're all from my team," she explained. "The Basterds. With an E, like the Brad Pitt movie-"
Maybe, she thought, talking to him about recruiting while he was laid out in a hospital bed facing six weeks of recovery wasn't the best idea. But the nurses would only be gone for so long. "We want you on our team," she said, quickly and quietly. "We're still deciding when the next meeting is, but it ought to be soon- Our primary function is information gathering, trying to get a handle on the situation- And kicking a** and taking names."
"We're going to get whoever did this to you," she added, and glanced at Bell.
"Your turn," she said.

As soon as Bell's other self was outed, she took on the look of a child that had just been caught stealing out of the cookie jar. What was there to say? The look on her face confirmed everything just said, but perhaps verbal confirmation to dissuade any denial;
"Senshi of fortitude."
And yet Bell displayed anything but.

It was puzzling - and then borderline amusing when Maia revealed herself. He had to remember that the glamour had kept his identity hidden, even thought he had seen her as her normal self. "Glad to finally know your name." He offered to Lily. But then he frowned. Her ear... "Did I do that ?"
Stupid, stupid, stupid...
He likewise nodded at Aurora, but then...
They were all reveling themselves, one after the other.
Right in front of...
Oh, god.
His eyes were on Bell before Tallulah could even elaborate. No way, no way, no way, no way-
Yes way, it seemed.
Bellatrix. It should have been obvious, but it hadn't been. Thank you, glamour. Now everything kind of snapped into place, but he wasn't sure if it was a good thing or not.
"Themis." He offered in turn. Normally, this would have been when he would have looked at Lily to see the look on her face. He didn't. The floor was a mighty interesting right now. "Noise. Not sure why you'd want a good old senshi failure on your team, Tal." He chuckled, but there was no humor in it. "But I guess I can't say no to you."

Lily took on an incredibly confused face when the boy said he was glad to finally know her name. That meant he recoginzed her. She almost thought maybe they went to school together, but when he asked about her it clicked.
Themis, she thought.
Everyone, introduced themselves and so did Themis and then Lily was laughing, laughing so hard the soon tears leaked from her eyes and no sound even escaped her lips.
It took her a moment to compose herself, but after she did she plopped down on the end of fhe bed. "What a coinsidense," she breathed, "we make quite a team. Don't worry about my ears, to much noise and I was a bit close, but you attack is amazing."
She pointed to her ear, "I would rather this than loosing my starseed to a youma."
Lily frowned slightly at his downing words, "You're a great senshi in the making. We all makes mistakes. Afterall, you saw what mud does to me. Not to mention I managed to get my hair lopped off by a dark senshi and I've been set a blaze twice in the same night, by a lamp youma."

Bell wasn't too sure how far to push it with the 'cheer up' thing. She knew when she was down and out, she didn't exactly take well to any words, be they encouraging or not. She was prepared for venomous rebuttal, even self pity, but she wouldn't sit there silently listening to him call himself a failure.
"You're not a failure," Bell said adamantly. She continued, softer this time, trying to give a small comforting smile as she lay her head on one of her arms that was propped on the bed, trying to meet his downward gaze, while with her free hand she reached out to push his hair out of his eyes; "You're new to this right? We were all new once. None of us were exactly given handbooks or knew hat the hell we were doing, or supposed to do. Don't measure your worth by tonight's battle. None of us had ever faced anything like that."

Tallulah nodded in agreement with everything that had already been said. "You learn from experience," she declared. "Everyone messes up. Even people who are pretty experienced still get beaten pretty badly sometimes."
She sure knew she did - she wasn't so sure about the rest of them, but her battle with Uranophane had left her sore for a few days after.
"The important thing," she said, steeling her expression, "Was that you get back up and fight another day. As long as you've still got your starseed-"
She glanced briefly at Bell, then looked back to Xavier. "It sure isn't like Superman," she sighed. "It seems like the bad guys are hardly ever really beaten."

-It was true.. even the tree incident.. which had been absolutely horrifying was not like what had occurred that night. Never had she seen so many senshi and so many negaverse in one place. Never had she fought as many youma or used her powers as many times in a row. When she finally went home she planned on laying down in bed with a journal and trying to recall as many details as she could about what she'd seen. The more negaverse they could recognize by sight, the lower chance of being blindsided like the first time she'd met Serandite.
Xavier and Themis.. both were strangers to her, so for the most part she remained silent, though she nodded here and there, her smile reassuring.-
