Bio: Takai's birth is one of unknown origin. The first thing he can remember was opening his eyes to a pack of Arrancar, which had appeared because of his huge reiatsu. To the Arrancar's surprise, a small group of Shinigami aka Soul Reapers appeared at the same time. The battle was a quick and gruesome one, which brought nightmares to him for years. You see Takai was taken in by the Soul Reapers, and for years he was led to believe he belonged with them.
One of the Soul Reapers that appeared that day had decided to take him in, and train him in the ways of a Soul Reaper. Not too long after he was accepted into the Soul Academy, and was the second youngest to graduate as well. The mere knowledge of that put a lot of people on edge, because it reminded them of Ichimaru Gin. Of course by this time the great war had already came to an end, and all three worlds were mashed into one.
At this point Takai had already been accepted into a Squad, and within the span of a few months he had obtained the right of being a Captain. The reason for this was simple, because he defeated the former Captain in a one on one match. No..perhaps defeated is not the right word. Takai unleashed his Shikai, and left little remaining of his former Captain. There was no doubt in the squad as to who should lead them after that, as Squad 11 was always to be led by who they believed to be the most powerful man.
His position as Captain did not last though, nor did his right to stay there. One day while out fighting with his squad, an Espada appeared. Takai fought with all of his might, but when he unleashed his full power..all hell broke loose, and that's a literal statement. He lost full control of his body, and his Inner Hollow gained control of him for the first time. This led to the massacre of several members of Squad 11, and the Espada as well. Once Takai regained control, he was an entirely changed man. His pure lust for fighting could not be satisfied, and soon Soul Society discovered what he truly was.
Takai was brought in front of what they deemed to be a Council of the 'Elders', and was sentenced to execution. That did not sit well with him, so he decided that Exile was the only alternative. Since that day he has been living in secret, and hiding from all those who would seek him out. He even wears a blindfold as to completely hide his reiatsu.
