HEY GUYS! I missed you all! I gots internet now sorta. (We're in a hotel for a few more days and they have free WiFi.)
..."We" being my husband and I. I don't remember if I posted that I got married or not. But I did! My husband is in the Air Force, and we got married in late May. In late June, I moved from Kentucky to Texas to be with him while he learned his job. Now he's done with school and we've moved to California to his new base. We're currently in a hotel while we search the area for rental homes (harder than it sounds, lemme tell ya) since we don't want to live on base. I married into having two nephews and one new niece to add to the one I already had. I also have a cat now, who is secretly a tiny adorable demon and worth only stomping. Seriously though, ******** evil.
...That's about all I can think of that I have to report. What has everyone else been up to?
...YAAAAAAY GAIA TIME NAO! biggrin

And ummmm D; Do they have houses by the base or do you want to live like a little further from base? smile I remember this one base I went down to by San Diego had houses by it, but I think those were for the family while the soldiers were training or something...

Second_Crimson I will be visiting in Springish I think. Prepare the red carpet. razz GOOD! You'd better. And you'll probably be the first person to actually come visit us! (Rita and Harrison will come too eventually but they have to wait for there to be no school. [Also, you were serious that you're going to visit in spring right? NO TEASING! crying ])
@Bry: Really? You should come visit too! We could drive down to Grass Valley and come get you to go to cool places like San Fran and stuff!
@Hisa: Thank you! And yes! Beach party it is! ;O Also yeah, they have houses that are on base property for people and their families, but it's hard to get them, they tend to suck, and my husband doesn't want to live where he works, lol. Plus the base is like twenty minutes minimum from anything else. Grass Valley is freakin' beautiful though. The leaves are turning, the shops in the downtown area are all bohemian and that sort of style, etc. We saw so much stuff yesterday that we were like "MUST HAVE THIS... but no monies. crying "

D_Vious I noticed we aren't FB friends, but I wanted to tell you congrats for a while. Hope things go well in Cali. how do you feel in such a new place? You dork, D! Why didn't you just try to friend me?! xd
Also thank you! 3nodding I'm getting used to it. I went basically from living with my parents my whole life to moving a thousand miles away overnight. That was about four months ago though, when I moved from Kentucky to Texas to be with Nick (my husband.) We spent three weeks back home after he graduated from tech school before he was due back at his first actual base, so that was nice. It's hard being so far away from everyone, especially my family. It's getting easier though, since now instead of being in an apartment for two months with almost nothing, and no money, we're in a house in a GORGEOUS neighborhood and when I get a job we'll have a lot more disposable income to buy random cool s**t. Also, the wildlife here is totally top-notch. LIONS EVERYWHAR.
...Seriously though, apparently there are occasional mountain lion sightings in our neighborhood. Rarely there are bears, and commonly there are deer, turkeys, foxes, coyotes, and raccoons. Makes me all kinds of happy. Just today there was a young buck in our front yard under the steps, and a group of wild turkeys made their way across our yard. :3
Anywho back to your original question. xd It's easier now that we're some place that we can make our own. It's a rental, but it's ours for at least two years, so we can do whatever we want except break things basically. Our landlady is awesome too, she waived our safety deposit AND the monthly pet fee. And she'd actually rather we have a big dog than a small one. How many rental places allow large dogs? Not a whole lot from what we've seen.
