I'm not entirely sure, but I believe the magazine is called Cure. I don't know how many of you have heard of it, but I just found it today at Hot Topic. Yes, I shop there. Sometimes. *usually doesn't have enough money to buy anything v.v;*

Anyway, it is a 180 page magazine that's mainly about current J-rock and Visual Kei bands, with some little fun things, like how they put their make up on. =D It's full of really really nice pictures of band members. whee It's so pretty. >.>; Unfortunately, everything's in Japanese. But I think all the pretty pictures make up for it. There are tons of bands in there, like Bis, Candy, and Phantasmagoria, who apparently visited the U.S sometime ago, and actually went to a Hot Topic store. o.o I think these are all new popular bands, because I've never heard of them before. But.. yeah..

I just thought you'd all like know about it, and the fact that you can actually get it in the U.S without having to order it online or anything. Even though it did cost me a pretty penny, for a magazine at least. (15 U.S dollars)

I'd scan some of the pages, but since it was an all-in-one thing (scanner, printer, fax) and the printer wasn't working... it's getting fixed right now. v.v; But when it comes back, I'll be sure to scan some of teh awesome pics. =D

At Hot Topic! When I go home for Spring Break later this week, I must visit my local Hot Topic and investigate this! (plus I haven't been exposed to anything lolita-ish in a while and I feel deprived... sweatdrop )

=O

omg I got two magazines the otherday. I was holding them to my chest, sighing dreamily as I left the mall. I kept asking my brother to pinch me, since I thought I would never lay hands on one of these magazines. It was so beautiful... It took me a long time to get over it. XD

Ok...so I don't hate HT as much as I used to...XP

They're getting Dir en grey stuff too. So hey, I can't complain. Even if it starts becoming really popular here...>_> *sigh* I guess it's a trade-off. More merch here for the fans to buy without going bankrupt on importing, but more popularity and not feeling so special because of it. D:

I dunno what to think.

Wish the HT near me was getting stuff like that... It's a small store, what can one say...

Mmm....yes. I picked up the April issue (for Phantasmagoria) and it is very expensive. I think it's a little ridiculous considering that it only costs 8oo yen in Japan which is the equivalent of $6.93 here. Even if they jack up the price because of imports or whatnot, I still think that it is ridiculous...though I will continue to buy them when I get the money to do so. It's a nice magazine.

It is a better buy if you order them for a year -- then the magazines are only $10 each. If you buy a magazine, you can either mail in the little ordering card it gives you, or you can order it directly from the Jpophouse website. I had the honor of meeting the director of the Cure magazine last year, at an anime convention. They were playing Gazette's Reila pv at the conference, since Gazette was just starting to become known about, at the time. It was amazing. The director/manager/whatever you want to call him was so kind, though he spoke little English. My friend, also, had the pleasure of meeting Kisaki and Riku from Phantasmagoria ((well, they were having a little meetup in their hotel room)). But then again, she WORKS for Jpophouse/Jrock House Ent., so she gets to do cooler things than most people could imagine! xp

I love Cure. I have a bunch of issues. I love how they show you the new clothes from popular lolita designers and other fashions. Some of them even come with sample CDs from the bands in the magazines. I really like the magazine. Some Hot Topics also carry FRUiTS.

That is like the most awsome magizine ever! I can't read it at all, but it gives me inspiration on what kind of clothes to design. The guys in the bands are SO hot! whee

Lucky. I wish one of the ones in my area did. On the bright side, two of the 3 Hot Topics near my house carry Shoxx, which often has pictures of Miyavi, which makes up for anything that they lack in. heart

I have one of the Cure magazines. I think it's the December 2006 issue. But it was really expensive, I wish I lived in japan so everything was cheaper, since I'm poor.

O:

I'm actually subscribed to the Cure magazine, and I LOVE each and EVERY issue. My friend Kitsune and I found them in a "out of town" mall at Hot Topic two hours away from my house. I was a bit angry when I couldn't find any at my local mall, and I knew that the one out of town had a HUGE rack full. neutral srsly, how LAME is that?

This reminds me that I need a Lolita Bible subscription. heart
