Today was a big day for Serena. Shells and Hyde told her that if she wanted she could go to the park by herself while her little sister Thalia slept. This never happened before. Shells or Hyde were always there holding her hand, making sure nothing would harm her. Finally she could show them that she could protect herself.
Serena left the house and started heading to the park. Occasionally she would flap her newly grown wings and lift herself off the ground a couple inches. When she reached the park she saw lots of street preforms there. Her eyes grew large when she saw a vibe player. He was preforming an up beat song. She found a near by spot in the grass and sat down so she could watch him play.

Ask had decided that today was a good day to practice his traveling. He'd already gotten going from class to class down, in order to avoid crowded hallways. But he wanted to be able to go farther. So he picked the ultimate destination of the park to help stretch his warping abilities.
He'd set out stepping into the other dimensions easily but could only stay there for a few minutes at a time. Slowly he was able to add another minute spent in the other worlds traveling back to his own world to wind up far from where he began. He made the park pretty easily after four or five jumps between worlds.
He heard an upbeat tune when he got there and wandered over to see what kind of instrument it was when he saw her. Another one just like him! He'd never seen another child with four wings instead of just two! Ask went right over to say hello, too pleased to really be concerned about walking up to a total stranger.
He tapped her on the shoulder, "Hi, you're like me!"

Serena jumped when she felt the tap on her shoulder. She looked to see who it was. It was a boy around her age with double wings like her. This was the first time she had ever seen anyone with wings besides her little sister.
She stood up to talk to him. "My name is Serena. What is your name?" she asked curiously.

"I'm Ask. Nice to meet you." He fluttered all four wings at her with a delighted grin. Really it was good to meet someone like himself and not be the only one with four wings anymore. "I like your wings."

"I like your wings too! They are pretty and colorful!" Serena said. It was nice to meet someone her own age. She hardly ever had anyone to play with. Than an idea hit her. "Ah! We should play a game! My Mommy Shells and Mommy Hyde don't play with me much and Sissy Thalia doesn't like to run around a lot." As she explained she used exaggerate hand motions.
"If you want we could play tag or hide n' seek or another game if you want." Her ears started to wiggle a little bit, which always happened when she gets excited.

"I'll play whatever you want, except House." Said Ask, making a small face at the idea. Though now that he thought of it, "What were you doing before I tapped your shoulder?" He was curious, she'd seemed so intent on whatever it was.

Serena grinned. "I was watching him play the vibes. He is really good, but my Mommy Shells is the best! No one is better than her. She teaches music at a school." Serena said. "I can play instruments too, but right now I can only play flute and piano."
She glanced back at the vibe player for a moment. "Some day I will learn the vibes!" She declared with a huge smile. Her attention went back to Ask. "I want to play hide and seek. Wanna hide first?"

So that's what that instrument was called. The vibes. Neat. "Sure I'll hide first. Count to 50!" As soon as she started he dashed off and started climbing one of the trees. He situated himself as high as he could go and in the the most sheltered spot.

"1 2 3," Serena counted up to 50 while having her eyes closed. She looked around. "Ready or not here I come!" She took a quick glance around the park to see if he was in plain sight. It seemed like this wasn't the case.
'Hm... where would be a good hiding spot?' She thought to herself. Than she darted over to the garbage cans. "Ask? Are you in there?" Once she was sure he wasn't she darted off. She spent a few minutes searching hiding spots including the restrooms, in pet carriers and baby strollers.
After she felt like she had looked near ever where she decided to plop down next to a tree. Her attention fell to a little chipmunk. "Hello Mister Chipmunk. You haven't by chance seen my friend have you?" The Chipmunk scurried up the tree. "Hey! Mister Chipmunk you are being rather rude!"
Serena followed the chipmunk up the tree a little bit. Than she thought she might have seen a shoe but she couldn't see it again. "Ask? Ask are you there?" She yelled out as loudly as she could.

Ask watched Serena check the trashcans and pet carriers with a small chuckle. She'd definitely given him a few ideas of places to hide in the future.
When she plopped down under his tree he had to smother giggles at how close she was, and yet so far away. At least until that silly chipmunk betrayed his hiding place. "Yeah, you found me." He called down she called up to the tree. He carefully started climbing down.

Serena let out a laugh. "Thank you Mister. Chipmunk! I wouldn't have ever found Ask!" She yelled up. "Be careful when you come down! I bumped my head coming down the tree at my house." She warned.

"I'll be careful!" He called down to her. Ask started to make his way down the branches slowly till he reached a branch where he could open his wings and glide the rest of the way down. "It's your turn!"

Serena nodded her head and looked around the park. 'Where would be a good place to hide?' she thought to herself. She saw a large bush a few yards away. Quickly she dashed toward it and buried herself in it. Carefully she tried to make sure to have herself fully covered, which was hard because her wings kept poking out.

Ask carefully counted to 50 then looked around. He didn't think she'd be up in the trees, because she bimped her head before on a tree. And he didn't think any chipmunks would be willing to give away her hiding place either.
He looked right past the bush where Serena was hiding and took a look around the playground. When he didn't find her there he surveyed the area from the top of the slide. That's when he saw her wings popping out of the bush. So he slid down the slide and jogged over to tell her he found her.
