One year has passed since the end of the Chuunin Exams, and much has changed in the world of the Shinobi. The Five Great Villages have seen many troubles in the past year, the most notable changes among the villages is the loss of many of the Kages. Of the Five Kages that met at the Chuunin Exams just one year ago, only Three remain in power, the leaders of Kirigakure, Kumogakure, and Iwagakure. The former Hokage, Matsuya Nara, has gone missing, leaving the village in the night in search of a greater purpose in the chaotic world of the Shinobi. The Former Kazekage, Zane Hajime, trekked into the desert, leaving his people to fend for themselves as he seeks a new weapon to use against an unknown darkness.

While these Villages seek to replace the leaders that they have lost, a new village arises to take its place in the world, bearing a musical note as their Symbol. It is said that this village holds posses a deadly and terrible weapon, a weapon, it is said, that corrupts the very souls of those that use it. And while the other Villages work to coalesce their powers, the Village Hidden among the fields of rice country plots and schemes, readying itself to take its place among the Great Villages.

Alright everybody, so as you should know, there has been a timeskip for POTS. This timeskip will effect different people in different ways for a number of reasons. So real quick, let's just go over some of the changes that are taking place.

Shinobi Professions and Shinobi Types

A new system has been created by the Crew of POTS known as Shinobi Professions. This system was designed to give characters a more defined role in both the society of their Village and in combat. This system is explained in better detail here.

In addition the Shinobi types system has been edited to better supplement this new system. Some Shinobi Types have been edited, and some have been removed altogether. To make the transition into this new system more smoothly, everyone will be allowed to change their shinobi types when their shinobi profession is is chosen.

New Profile Format

The Profile Format has also been updated to keep character information better organized. We ask that you submit an updated character profile using this new format as soon as possible. Everyone will be given two weeks to update their profile, after that all old profiles will be deleted, so please update this as soon as possible.

New Village

A New Village has been opened, the Sound Village. With the opening of this village will come many new auto-ranked positions, so if you're interested, be ready to apply for one of these positions. In addition I would like to make you aware that members of the Sound Village will have access to a very special new weapon, one that will be revealed at a later date.

2nd Characters

With the opening of the Hidden Sound Village a new opportunity will be offered to the more senior members of POTS. For anyone that has had a character since the beginning of the Chuunin Exams, the opportunity to create a 2nd character will be available. The conditions for creating a 2nd character will be further explained here.

Learning Benefits

Naturally during this time-skip, your characters will not have stopped growing and training in the arts of the Shinobi. For anyone that is chuunin rank or higher, or for anyone that has had a character since the beginning of the first Arc, the demon attack arc, the opportunity to auto-learn a few techniques will be given. If your character does not meet these requirements then the time-skip will not affect your character in the same way.

If you do not meet the requirements then the time-skip will affect you differently. Only two weeks will pass for your character, and no jutsus will be auto-learned. This time-skip is meant to give veteran members a better sense of passing time so that their characters do not simply become ageless. Below you will find the rules for auto-learned techniques from the time-skip.
