Jake and Dylan have been friends since they can remember, and have gone through everything together. They never keep things from each other, but there's one thing Dylan doesn't know. Jake loves him. Jake was spread out on his lawn, eyes closed. He was positioned as if he were going to make a snow angel. Hades was curled up next to him, asleep.

Jake was asleep as well, so he didn't notice Dylan. Hades didn't seem to either.

"WHAT THE HELL?!" Jake yelled in surprise, opening his eyes to see Dylan. Hades jumped to his feet and started barking madly at Dylan.

"Dammit Dylan, why do you always do that?!" Jake exlaimed, panting. Hades realized it was just Dylan and stopped, but growled a little still.

"Yeah. You've got a black eye." Jake said, raising his eyebrows. "Umm....Is everything okay at home?" Jake lived right next to Dylan, so when the window was open....He didn't know about the abuse, though. He just thought Dylan and his dad didn't get along well.
