The vampires and dragons have been at war since the beginning of time. The two races still live in caves like they always have, but vampires have been able to adapt to living along side the humans while the dragons have stayed away from them, not trusting the creatures. Things between the dragons and vampires get worse when the dragon queen and king suddenly disappear and the vampires are blamed for their disappearance. After his parents disappear, the boy and his sister sneak in to the vampire's base to retrieve a powerful crystal, one that could help stabilize things been all the races, and help him find his parents. They are found and chased from the base with a fake crystal, since the real one was hidden somewhere. The boy is captured and put in the vampire's prison, where he is tortured until he tells them where the crystal is. There, he meets the vampire princess and things start to really heat up, but there is a dark figure lurking, wanting for the right moment to strike. With each encounter, they find themselves drawn together. What will happen? Will the dragon lord keep his grasp on the revenge he wants against the vampires or will he be consumed by the deep feelings he has for the vampiress and claim her has his own?

A loud knocking at the young vampiress' door awoke her as a loud voice said through the wood, "Elizabeth, wake up, there's an emergency!" Red eyes opened slowly and the girl sat up, moving black bangs from her eyes, "Alright Alexander, I'm up, I"ll be out in a minute!" She snapped back, moving out from under the warm red blankets of her bed and standing up. She turned on her bedside lamp, the light reflecting off her pale white skin as she went to her dresser and pulled out a long black dress. She pulled it on, zipping it in the back and quickly brushed her black hair, pulling it back in to a tight ponytail. When she was ready, she turned off the light again and opened her door, "Now what is it?" She asked, looking up at her life long friend as they walked off down the hall, towards her mother's throne room. Alexander told Elizabeth what was happening.

Elizabeth silently listened to her step-father as she told her what had happened and ordered her to capture the dragon and torture him until he told her where the crystal was. She bit her lip as her red eyes met his sharp, golden ones and she surprised a shudder. "Yes sir, I'll get right on it." She said, hurrying from the camber with Alex right behind her. She followed her nose to where she could smell the dragon.

Elizabeth took off faster when she felt the dragon pick up his pace. She soon left Alex behind, flying through the tunnels towards the dragon.

Elizabeth skid to a stop behind Justin and smirked, crossing her arms over her chest, "It looks like the little dragon's not very coordinated." She said, laughter clear in her bright red eyes and a soft gentleness in her voice.

Elizabeth raised a slender eyebrow at the dragon. He seemed...a bit different from other dragons she'd met and the vampiress felt herself drift off in to deep thought. She quickly shook her head, her soft lips curling in to a wicked smile, "You wanna bet tough guy?" She asked, ready to pounce on him whenever he tried to attack.

Elizabeth jumped out of the way, grabbing the top of the cave tunnel and clinging there. She crawled along the ceiling, avoiding the fire. She stopped when she was directly above Justin and fell, landing on his chest, "Ha, gotcha!" She said, grinning.
