What was yours?
Mine was last night. We were up against our rivals. I had heard a lot of stories about how disrespectful and jerkish they are but, this being my first year, I though they were exagerating. They weren't. In the first minute of the game, already, one of our guard girls had gotten cussed out by a group of girls from the opposite team. When we went to perform, the whole time we were out there the other colorguard was laughing at us loud enough so we could hear them. The whole time, I kept getting cussed out by a girl on our colorguard because she was acting insane and I kept telling her to stop and calm down. At the end of the game, the ref made a bad call, so somebody in our student section decided it would be a good idea to throw a water bottle onto the field. Our field commander started crying because we aren't going to play offs and it's her last year with us. I also found out that my boyfriend is no longer eligible to be in marching band so he got kicked out when we had two games left. And to top it all off, on our way home, one of our FFA barn caught on fire. neutral Worst. Night. Ever.

The highschool i graduated from played their rivals last night and had beat them for the past 7 games. They lost by 1 point after the kicker missed an attempted field goal.

Well, had i posted int his lasts eason, it woudl have been my worst game ebing one where our team won by a lot.
We won almost 80 to 0. That...was...a lot...of... fight songs...
there was a point in that game where we would finish our fight sogn and have to start over again because we got another touchdown. Our director ended up saying no fight song for touchdowns because he didn't want our chops worn out. Football team winnign by a lot you think would be awesome, but no. it was horrbbile and exhausting. It was boring.

this year though, our worst game was probably the last away game we went to. we lost abotu 40 to 0, which was just depressing(new coach, good palyers last year were alls eniors). to add to the erm...fun, soem jerks(not sure whose school theyw ere from) were throwing rocks at us from under our stands. They dented our trumpet section elader's instrument with one. We ha our cop parent underneath watching.
This school also had no band, so we played both pregame and halftime. Both times, we sucked. Badly. Worst shows we have done yet. And, the director had alternates on the field. why choir directors shoudln't be and directors-_- One was shadowing me, and she kept runnign into me or vice versa, and when she wasnt running itno me she was running into other players, and i don't mean people next to me.
(sad part is, the other school's principle complimented us sayign we were the best band he had seen all season. I kinda wanna find otu which bands had come before and put them otu of their misery...)

We had a rivalry game this past Friday too. We lost 37 to 7. And our football team was best in our area last year... Ouch.

Whenever we do games within our district, both bands are in full uniform and perform part of their show. The opposing team's student section TURNED AROUND when we were going on to perform, but our student section didn't do that to their band. For some reason, though, our student section went CRAZY for us, the first time they've ever done that... yet we performed terribly. >.<

What made the game worse was that our band director and our colorguard director BOTH LEFT after half-time, leaving our drum tech and colorguard student tech (last year's drum major) in charge. I can't WAIT for the lecture we're gonna get Monday... T____T

Worst game was my freshman year...we came into the game ranked #2 in the country. If we win this, we're #1 and in position for the national championship, so everyone is super excited, especially the naive freshmen who haven't seen all the heartbreaking ways our team can lose yet.

Long story short, we got off to a rough start, but our backup QB led a great comeback, until we just needed a FG to tie the game and go into overtime. And then he made this AWFUL mistake on the last play.

I guess it wasn't that one game that sucked so much as the fact that our team seemed to lose all motivation after that and lost a bunch of their next games. So those of us in band who had thought we were for sure going to march in the Rose Parade that year (again, naive freshmen) were so disappointed. That's the thing that sucks about college band, your team has to win for you to go anywhere cool...

Haha, yeah, our student section does that. I think it's really rude for a band to turn their backs on another band, but students...I don't really care.

While some of these sound really terrible my seems just kinda petty. In a game against one of the bands big enemies we were performing and there were 4 minutes left on the half time. The other foot ball team comes out onto the field and started walking in between us and in front of us making a mockery of our performance. To get pay back one of snare player challenge a group of them to stand in from of the drum line. They did and one set later we took them all out with our visual. We step forward with the left leg and in one beat have to swing the other leg forward the bass drum's almost do a full 360. The 9 players in front of the drumline got knocked down and becous they were in the bands way they got trampled. To the got off the field about half way through our last song. As we got off the player started catcalling the color gaurd girls. One of which I have a very close relationship with. He did a vulgar obscene gesture to her in particualr. As I took of my drum to go finish some business bass drum 2 charged across the football field and nailed the guy in the gut winding him and leaving barely conscious. He was removed from the area but didn't get in trouble when the entire band vouched for him. He got let off with a warning. It was so incredibly stupid.

Some football game a few years ago, we were at an away game. Lost like 40-0 or something like that, and still had to be excited since we're the band and are supposed to support the team.

Last game I got smacked into by a kid who wasn't looking where he was running and I almost fell over onto the dirty bleachers with my white uniform. Plus some jerk got mustard on one of the mallet covers which is just insane.

Itz the dustbowl showdown against our cross-town rivals and we lose. FORTY-SIX TO ZERO. and our half-time show was...less than acceptable. Our pep music kept falling apart as well. >.<

I hope my post here is on-topic, I never paid even the slightest bit of attention to football. Our football team wasn't really ever that great to begin with, even if I liked football it wouldn't be my priority at the games to pay attention to it. lol

My worst games were ones where I got sick. It happened to me once in my sophomore year where I wasn't in the main marching band ensemble (my high school had/has the competitive marching band and then a smaller one that only meets for football games and does a tiny marching show with the main marching ensemble in the pre-game and then does pep band for the game). I got a really bad migraine and had to leave. That's all I really remember of that year, actually. lol

It happened in my junior year as well, but I didn't have to go home. It just wasn't any fun.

my HS football team was lucky to win one game a year so you could say every game was the worst.

I changed my mind, the worst games are when players get injured. I saw an especially bad one last weekend...let's just say knees were not designed to bend forwards. D:

Pffff, I don't know if I should call it bad or funny.
My old BD was friends with the BD from the school visiting for the football game, so after halftime the other band came over to our side to sit with us.
A fight started on the football field, and the other band's flute players started flipping out. One even said, "We're going to die! D:"
....I facepalmed.

Oh. The bass drum fell on me once during halftime, back when I was in pit. xD
The stand wasn't hooked properly and...yeah. xD
Itkindahurt.

Dude he ran with the drum and nailed the guy in the gut. Seriously, even with the slightly awkward run is was awesome.
