Dakari was wandering around in the forested area around Cruor by himself, like normal. Apparently it was very easy for the young kit to slip away from the adults and vanish.
Today Dakari just needed the solitude to think. It was a very serious thought for one so small. Who were his parents?
Maybe it wouldn't be so important in the long run, but could anyone blame him for being curious? Dakari didn't look like anyone in the tribe, in color or pattern. He thought he might have caught a glimpse of white and purple that day by the lake, but in the following week no such fox has shown up.
The small kit sighed and shrugged mentally. He guessed it would just remain a mystery. He just hoped his parents were strong or powerful individuals, impressive rather than weak.((Since I have no idea if we'd even get to it, I'm assuming Aegle never got to meet Dakari that day at the pond. So about a week has passed since then.))

Aegle had stuck around to the outskirts of Cruor. Things hadn't gone as she hoped about meeting her son. So she walked the edge of the territory everyday hoping he would come.

Dakari froze, not moving a muscle or a hair. The young kit had just spotted a mouse. Excellent, hunting practice! He ghosted closer, trying to make his steps lighter than air. He pounced!
The mouse must have sensed something though. It dodged right at the last second and scampered off into the dense forest mast quicker than Dakari could recover his balance.
"Aaahhh! Of all the-" and Dakari proceeded to yell at the forest, telling it very well what he thought of this bit of cheating and how it was not his fault that something tipped the mouse off. He was an excellent hunter, that mouse should have been his!

Aegle's ears twitched as she heard a yell. That can't be good~ she thought to her self and went to go see what was wrong. She easily slipped threw the trees and found her little kit on the ground. She had a small smile on her face till he just about cussed than the smile left and was replaced with an irritated mom look. "You know its not good for you to use any fowl language" she spoke to him.

Dakari didn't look around to the voice. He figured it was just an adult from the tribe, come to look for him after discovering he'd wandered off again. Most didn't care too much about language, but he always got a scolding for running off. Scoldings bored him.
"Hmph. 'S all the forest's fault," he grumbled.

"I'm sure they have taught you about bitter root. I could find some for them to give you you know."She scolded teasingly. She looked around and noticed there were no others with him. Normally this would upset her greatly but today it would be a good thing. She would take him away. "Come on my darling boy lets go get something to eat away from here make it more challenging. Say from some place more open?" she asked him to see what he would think.

Now Dakari did look up. Whoever this female was, she talked strange. No one in the tribe ever spoke in such a......well no one talked like she did.
"Who're you," Dakari asked, suspcious. He'd never seen this female in the tribe before. He was the only one with a white base coat.
There was a purple swirl right above her elbow, identical to his. Something stirred in the back of his mind. It couldn't be! Could it?

Aegle gave a soft loving smile to him. She than aproached him and walked around him. One to make sure he was ok. Two to see if any others were coming and three so he could get a better look at her. "Who do you think I am Dakari?" she asked giving him a little wink.

Dakari had shrunk down so that his belly was touching the ground. If he had to he'd make a break for it, the thick undergrowth was an excellent advantage for him if it came to a chase. The way the vixen was treating him was highly unusual, and was freaking him out just a tad.
"How should I know," he complained, keeping up with his stubborn nature. For all he knew it was just a coincidence. Lots of other foxes probably had spirals on them, or where white and other colors. Cruor wasn't that big, there had to be plently of other modis about.
Besides, she could be a cousin or aunt or something. Not a sister, too old.
((lol it's sad that's he right on that account. His great-aunt and granddad looks tons like him, as does his daddy and one of his uncles.))

Aegle smiled " I've held you when you were a BCR and I have given birth to you. Now what do you think I am?" She asked him. She gently nudged him. "Your okay. Nothing will hurt you. I would kill it first." she told him soothingly. She sat down near him but her eyes were still scanning the area.

Dakari shrugged lightly. "I don't remember anything from being in a BCR, and I don't remember your face when I crawled out of it." He peered into his mother's face, trying to discover her motives. "Why are you just showing up now?"

Aegle's face fell. She was sad. "I know I wasn't there when you came out but I was on my way. Sin took you from someone that was watching you for me. At the time I knew nothing about it. I was off finding a good place for us all to live." she sighed. "By the time I found out you were already in Cruor. I have snuck into cruor 3 times for you now. Sin was suppose to bring you to me but he hasn't. He was suppose to introduce us a week ago."

Dakari considered that. It sounded like something Sin would do. "I saw you by the lake that day, didn't I," he asked, bringing back the memory of the white and purple fox. He'd only caught a glimpse of her, since he was hiding under Ginerva's legs, so after a couple days he thought he'd only imagined her.

"Yes it was. I wanted to come to you but I have to follow what Sin said. I was and am in his territory I have to follow the rules. But if any of them hurt you I will kill them without a second thought."Aegle gently touched Dakari " I am sorry." She pulled back and watched him to see how he would react.

Dakari thrusted his tiny shoulder blades up in the traditional shrug of their kind. "So what do you want now?" The question motives weren't as harsh as the actual words themselves, Dakari was honestly curious.
It was obvious this vixen, his mother, seemed to care about him. Threatening to kill others that would do him harm certainly seemed to apply in that regard. So what did she intend to do with him?
