Introduction
Since there was some interest in a Halloween event for the guild, I thought an avatar costume contest would be a great way for members to celebrate!
Everyone in the guild is welcome to enter! In order to collect money for a prize, everyone who enters will be asked to pay a 100 gold entry fee: the winner will get all of the entry fee money collected, plus any money earned through donations.
- Voting will start on October 26th and end on November 1st.
- There is no limit to how many people can join, but you must enter before October 26th.
- The winner will be decided by votes from guild members. If we get 10 contestants or less, votes will be decided by a poll. If we get more than 10, votes will be posted in the thread, and you will be allowed up to 3 votes.

Rules & Instructions
How to join:
1) Dress up your avatar in it's Halloween costume. This can be any sort of costume, whether it is Halloween-themed, scary, pretty, strange, cute, or anything else. As long as it's creative, it's welcome.
2) Post here, with your avatar in costume, stating that you want to join and tell me what you'd like your entry to be called.
3) Send 100 gold to me in a trade, and label the trade 'contest entry'.
4) I'll save the image of your avatar and put it up on the first post, so everyone can see it (and so that you don't have to stay in costume throughout the whole contest if you don't want to. wink ) Once you see your avatar's picture on the first post, feel free to change it back to what ever you want.
5) Once the poll is set up, vote for what ever entry you like best.
Rules:
★ You must use your own avatar, not something from Tektek.org, or any other dream avatar creator.
★ Only one contest entry per member will be allowed.
★ No insulting or making fun of anyone else's contest entry.
★ No trying to force or bribe other members to vote for you.
★ No entry fee refunds once the contest has begun; once the voting has started, if you're in, you're in. If you decide to drop out of the contest before voting has started, however, that is acceptable, and you will be given back your gold.

This pickled vegetable...Thank you so much for taking the initiative on this. I really wanted to do a Halloween event of some for too, but I'm on a road trip right now and only have internet for a few hours each evening and can't really organize one.

Some questions:
* Can guild Crew members enter?
* Where to we send our entry fee? I do not believe we have a guild mule. Do we send the trade to you?
...
Also, I don't know about guilds, but polls in the public forums cap off at 10 options. So any poll vote contest have to cap off at 10 contestants. Just so you know. The guild polls might have the same problem. ... could kick your a** !!

Sure, anyone can enter, crew and regular members alike. 3nodding I won't be entering personally though, since I'm overseeing it.
Yep, I'll be accepting trades and keeping track of entry fees, as well as adding some of my own gold to the prize money.
Hmm, if we only get 10 options, I guess I can only accept the first ten people who enter. sweatdrop Thanks for letting me know!

This pickled vegetable...There is another way you can do the polling.
In another one of the guilds I'm a member of we have allot of contests (its an avatar guild, so they're all avi contests) and we always have more than ten contestants.
What the person/people overseeing the contest do is have the votes post the one they want in the thread instead of clicking the poll. This way people can also vote for more than just one candidate (because we all know that when awesome avatars go up against each other it's hard to make a decision).
For contests with 10 or less entries they only allow people to vote for one avi. For contests with 11 to 15 entries they are allowed to pick 2 avis to cast their vote for and anything above fifteen we get to pick 3. But I have never seen them allow for any more than three votes. ... could kick your a** !!
