Calming Sun, Angered Moon

Thousands of years ago, soon after a war of all races, Humans rose out of the dust as superior to all others. However, they became 'corrupted' and were branched off into different classes. Some learned to use the elements for their needs. Some gained the ability to shift their form into that of an inferior race. Some trained long and hard to become either of two classes: the ninjas and the assassins. Some went beyond the use of elements and came to wield enough power to make them magicians, sorcerers, or mages. some were forced to drink the blood of other living creatures in order to survive.

Only those of royal or noble blood came upon the knowledge of controlling the 'lesser species' and summon them as guardians and battle partners. A few of the stronger out of this class learned to communicate with and even control the souls of both the dead and the living.

The many classes of humans came upon an agreement of alliance, so that war will not break out again. With the royal and noble families ruling separate divisions of the world, peace reigned. But how long will this peace last?
